What are weekends for? Brunch of course! Mulberry is a little hidden gem on 3rd street with a great outdoor brunch atmospheres. Enjoy a grapefruit mimosa(better than normal ones in my opinion) and watch the adorable dogs and their owners taking a stroll in downtown Austin. Meat plate of 3: prosciutto and speck(similar to prosciutto but with an herbed crust) were excellent picks; the finnochiona was also a great salami choice. The horseradish sweet mustard sauce was a delightful seasoning to the meats. Delicious. Fennel & arugula: a light refreshing salad that was perfect on this hot Sunday. The dressing was nice and sweet. Yogurt parfait: mmmm one of the better ones I’ve tasted! In such a cute mason jar also. A great find in downtown Austin for brunchfare! Nice people, good vibes, and good food– me likey.

Good wine bar. Decent apps. I like the area more than anything. Also, it’s right next to trifecta and that’s a perfect end to a wine night. Mmmm…

Try their cheese plate variation which has some amazing varieties on the wood board. Loves to interact with the crowd as well as the team working there. Such a hidden gem. Will be back for sure and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great drinks food and entertainment. See you soon Mulberry team C

This is definitely one of Austin’s hidden gems. Coming from San Francisco where the vegetable are really fresh, I developed more of a discerning palate and Mulberry is one of the few places in Austin that has extremely fresh vegetables, great vegetarian options and they get creative with their cuisine. They also have a great brunch menu, an excellent staff, and no long lines. Definitely one of my favorite places in Austin!

This place was fabulous for brunch. Our party of three had the French toast which was amazing with it cinnamon and whipped cream. The portions are HUGE, about as big as your head. I had the quail and biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was to die for. The sausage was a little on the spicy side but it all worked together. Smaller portion than the French toast but do delicious! My hubby had the goat cheese omelet with green salad. He was also very happy with it. As far as drinks go I had the Bellini which was also quite good. Only complaint is that this place is hard to find. After walking around Nueces for five minutes or so I finally called to make sure they were still at the location. The restaurant is on actually on third street but it’s in the building that has a Nueces address. I wasn’t alone in having this problem. Someone else called while we were at the bar eating and the staff thought it was funny people couldn’t find it. I overheard them say, «if you can’t find it it wasn’t meant to be.» Maybe they should have a corner sign or something on the street that directs people to the right location. Now, that I know where it is, I will be back.

The most incredible breakfast I’ve EVER had. Everything is perfection. Pork Benedict, big breakfast and French toast do not disappoint! Chef is a genius. Bloody Mary’s are exceptional. If in Austin, Mulberry is a MUST. I will be coming back!!!

Great service all the way around, the food was made by a Chef… and it was REALLY good. Not to mention I’m not a very big coffee drinker but my friend was in town visiting, loves coffee and we both had an Americano and it was amazing!

Came here on a Sunday rainy morning for brunch. Small intimate place — bad for groups. Take a foodie partner in crime. We ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and the blueberry + ricotta crepes. The poached eggs were PERFECTLY poached and the salmon so fresh. The cream cheese is worth licking the plate for, especially combined with the pickled onions. The crepes were crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Not too sweet and not heavy, so perfect for those who don’t want to be weighed down by a carb-y pastry.

Thea and Phillip are the best bartenders in the land of downtown wine bars! So personable I wanted to hand out with them the rest of the night. The food was spectacular. We had the Devils backbone(I think I made that name up). Cheese, figs, wrapped in CANDIED bacon. I mean delight! Who needs dessert with those flavors?!? Well me because I’m a sugar junkie, but for the regular people it’s like heaven on a toothpick, sweet and savory at the same time! The meat and cheese on the cheeses were fabulous as well! I don’t remember what we had. The burger was like little chips of beef gently made into a patty of happy juiciness! The bacon on the burger(yes I had more bacon again) was just right. Definitely one of my new favorite burgers. The potatoes were fried nicely and not over seasoned. Now the sweet spot brownie and PEANUTBUTTER ice cream. As soon as I put the spoon on my tongue I had all kind of peanut buttery memories of my child hood! Scooping peanut butter out of the jar. The brownie was super fudgy and rich! Put the phone down people go to Mulberry. Ohh the wine! They have a new Chardonnay, I didn’t bother to get the name of it because it’s exclusive(in the south) to their restaurant! It was great. Light, not too buttery, slight hint of oak. **They are going to do brunch everyday next week for SXSW so if you haven’t had luck getting in on the weekends this is your chance!**

This is such a cute brunch place! I came here for Sunday brunch with a couple of friends the other day and I was definitely pleased. Mulberry offers inside and outside dining, but we chose to eat inside since all the tables outside were taken. There weren’t many tables available indoors either so we sat at the bar, which I surprisingly enjoyed. Mulberry has a very intimate feel to it, which I suppose could be attributed to how small the restaurant is. Nonetheless, I was definitely digging the ambience here. I had the smoked salmon while my friends had the french toast and prosciutto sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals and there was not really anything to complain about. The wait staff were all quick, friendly and extremely helpful. The peach bellini is also fantastic. I haven’t had their mimosas, but I will most likely get it next time I’m here. The only downside is that Mulberry is in an odd location. It is literally right next to the 360 Condos, but it is kind of hidden. If you are not familiar with the area, Mulberry can be hard to find.

It gets pretty crowded for brunch and there’s limited seating. The only indoor seating available when I went was at the bar but there was plenty of outdoor seating. I got the peach Bellini and the French toast which was delicious! The Bellini tasted more like champagne than peach. I prefer more juice compared to alcohol in my drink so the waiter remade it for me when she realized I didn’t like it as much. The French toast was a decent size. I loved the fresh fruit toppings! The crust was a little hard but the center was perfect! I definitely recommend both! I’ll definitely be back to try the other dishes soon!

Get that grilled cheese, baby! Just order it, eat it, thank me later. Is that brioche? I don’t know. It’s super good. I like the intimate feel at Mulberry. You sit around the bar, drink your cava, show the bartender your weird Youtube videos, and eat some food. What more could you want in a neighborhood bar?

This review is for brunch only… They have 6 oz. mimosas for $ 3 during brunch — definitely 5 stars for that! The brunch menu itself was a little lacking. I ordered the corned beef hash with an over medium egg. My friends and I all ordered practically the same thing, but the food wasn’t really consistent. Mine came out extra salty, so I ended up ordering more potatoes to offset the salt. Unfortunately, the potatoes came out overly salted as well. My friend’s dish came out perfect though. I would caution you to ask for light/little salt — this way you can always add more. We also ordered a cheese and deli meat plate. The service was great, they did a wonderful job explaining the differences in the different cuts and cheeses. Also, the server did an amazing job keeping us consistently hydrated with mimosas. The food was decent, and the place was a little tight and hard to find… they are next to the Austin Ballet Center.

Great brunch spot based on the delicious $ 36 oz. Mimosas! 5 Stars to those! I was underwhelmed by the choice of entrees. I wish they had a few more options. I ended up getting the Corned Beef Hash which had good flavor but extremely salty. A friend asked for a side of potatoes to mix into our Corned Beef Hash explaining that it was just too salty for us to eat. They brought out potatoes 15 minutes later… That were seasoned with more salt… And they ended up charged us for them. Of course if I order something I expect to pay for it, but we had to order because the quality of the food. The space is incredibly small and cramped, so not ideal for large groups. Luckily, our group of 5 made reservations and had our own table in the back of the restaurant. Service was great. Our server had just started so she wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu yet. Luckily, someone stepped in whenever we had questions that she was unable to answer. Our drinks were never empty so A++ to that. Overall, I enjoyed having brunch here, but wish they had a few more menu offerings.

A NY-style brunch spot perfect for rallying after a night out — here’s why: 1) Mimosas — $ 3 per 6 oz glass 2) Service — Our waitress was the bomb. She provided fun, attentive service and gave excellent tips on the menu items. 3) Menu — There is a small selection, but locavores, vegetarians, and meat and potato-lovers alike could dine together at Mulberry. The french toast is a behemoth, and our waitress smartly advised us to split it among the four-top. It was succulent and cinnamon-y. The whipped cream was fresh and balanced out the dish. My Eggs Benedict: The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the pulled pork was a nice way to mix it up Texas style. The english muffins were too stiff and slightly burnt, and the pork on the dry side. Overall, there wasn’t a special zing to the hollandaise, nor was there a light salad or fruit to add acidity or freshness to the plate. The most essential elements(egg and sauce) were textbook. 6⁄10 for this EB.

This review is for happy hour only. With all the competition for happy hour in town, you’d think Mulberry would offer better, especially since the location is a little off the beaten path. A handful of uncreative dishes at not-so-happy prices. I asked the bartender if they had happy hour drink specials. She pointed me to the«happy hour» menu, which offered seemingly regular price beers and 5 – 10 wines by the glass ranging from $ 9 – 15. These are happy hour prices? Happy hour. LMGTFY. Also, the acoustics inside are horrible. There were maybe 10 patrons inside and we could hardly hear one another. Will not return.

This is a cute little brunch place. I had the blueberry crepes that had ricotta cheese blueberry goodness inside. My hubby had the corned beef hash and OMG, I wanted to finish his plate the cabbage made I sweet the meat was nice and tender and the hash was crispy on the outside and soft and delightful on the inside. The mimosa have the right amount of champagne and juice will be coming back to this little Austin corner.

Went to Mulberry for the first time on Dec. 20 and tried several different items from the happy hour and regular menu. Devils on Horseback: Delicious, slightly smokey, barbecued bacon-y goodness. Foie berry slider: As Forrest would say, I could eat about a million and a half of these. To the genius who put foie mixed in with beef for this delightful burger, I salute you! Served medium rare nestled between two slices of crisp, toasted, buttery bread. Loved this and was kind of sad to share with my 15 year old daughter. Brussels sprouts salad: Another winner, although a little too salty. It was a nice mix of fried and fresh brussels sprouts that were crisp and caramelized. Good flavors and textures and I loved the bright citrus dressing. Escargot: Buttery, garlicky and flavorful. Paired with deliciously airy, toasted bread perfect for sopping up all of the broth. While it wasn’t the best escargot I’ve had, it was really good! Grilled double cream gouda with pear chutney: Great flavor combo. My only issue was that I thought the bread was a little too thick in proportion to the cheese, but the cheese was plentiful and melty with a butteriness amplified by the butter in the bread. Pommes frites: The wedges of waxy skinned potatoes were good and the aioli was a nice pairing, however, this fell short in my opinion. If I am going to order fried potatoes, I like for them to have a crispy, near crunchy bite and these seemed more boiled, then flash sautéed. Apple crisp: Good flavor and texture, loved the cidery sorbet served with. Somewhat large size, perfect for sharing. My daughter only finished half, but we had sampled a lot of food! Butternut squash crème brûlée: Very subtle squash notes and a nice fairly thick layer of sugar to crack through. The only negative, in my opinion was the addition of toffee crumbles which pushed the sweet factor a little too high for me, but I recognize that others may like that. I pushed most of it aside. In regards to other factors, the atmosphere is definitely bar heavy as almost all the seating is at the bar or along the walls at a bar ledge making it difficult to have a four person party that could sit together and communicate without a person on either end feeling left out. It is perfect for a two or three person party and there are a few 6-top or 8-top tables. The service was only adequate. Food orders taken and brought, but no personality or warmth from the server. She rarely cracked a smile and seemed mildly annoyed to be at work? It may be that she just has an unaffected sort of personality since her interactions with her coworkers seemed equally cool. Who knows. Anyway, the food is worth another happy hour there and if I lived closer, I might make a more regular habit of it.
