I was sad when this great store moved out of our Crestview neighborhood, but the new location is great and the selection is as good or better than ever. The owner is knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful. A bit of a drive for me, but so worth it — the best Indian grocery store in Austin!

I was told by an Indian couple about this store. It was the closest Indian store to me. The owner is very helpful. He helped me find what I was looking for and advised me on the brands or just picked them out for me. I’m not Indian but had an Indian friend who told me to buy MTR brand and Laxmi brand and I usually buy these brands which they carry. They were out of the frozen dosas which the Indian couple had told me about but they had the powder chutney I wanted. This is not a big store but it has what you need except for Jasmine rice. I’ll have to find that somewhere else. Generally you are better off buying rice and spices at an Indian store than a US grocery store. I would definitely go back and recommend this to anyone else looking for a good Indian grocery store. I prefer South Indian food to North indian but they had what I needed to make sambar. I can’t get masala dosas near me and none of the Indian prestaurants in North Round rock have pappadum to go so I bought all that stuff here. You can make decent Indian food at home and get to enjoy that delicious food without the hassle of driving forever into Austin. I don’t like driving into Round rock because of the gas expense and the traffic. I’ve bought a slow cooker and I plan to make some of my recipes on the weekend in that. Glad to have found this place.

Decent selection of Indian foods, spices, and vegetables. I occasionally get the MTR ready made foods(akin to the military MRE but so much better)), and they are all great. Combine with naan and you have yourself a nice snack. They carry what is labeled«pocketless pita» but don’t worry, it is very similar to Kolcha naan and is better than anything you can, if you are able to, get in a supermarket. No frills, nothing fancy, just shelves stocked with anything you could need in preparing Indian meals. The proprietors are super nice, helpful, and so respectful of their customers. If you are North, stop in and check it out. Something for everyone.

This is a great place for Indian grocery especially for people from Kerala, India. There are great ready-to-eat curries available here which are good home-made like.

Yep, bought some flour today and it really smelt bad and tasted bad. So I took it back and politely told him that it is bad and so I wan’t to return. The owner and I believe his wife immediately started becoming defensive and started arguing with me and were being rude. I was shocked the way they talked to me. She even asked if I am from India and when I said yes, she said, «okay, I now know»… not sure what that meant. When I asked them if they are not responsible for the stuff they sell, they tell me that I have to contact their supplier :). really. In the past, I had bought some mixture and after going home, noticed that that stuff had expired. I think I need to look into complaining to FDA and I will. Had a bitter experience with the products as well as the owners… whatever happened to customer service. Anyways, just wanted to tell you all about my experience… never seen this kind of behavior at any other indian store. Go elsewhere.

I was brought here by a brown person so to me, it’s pretty legit. This is where my roommate gets all of her spices, tea, and vegetables for her dishes. It really really small, but it’s packed to the brim with a ton of stuff. No frills, just everything you need.

We are sooooooo glad that we found this store! It has a a nice assortment of both North Indian and South Indian grocery items. Especially brands from Kerala such as Eastern, Nirapara, Nilamels. They also have frozen Neimeen or Kingfish(score!). The veggies were one of the freshest we had seen in any Indian store in Austin. They also have Tahina if you want to make hummus. The owner is very helpful and offered his sincere feedback on the products in the store. I wish I had found this place sooner.
