This place is huge! Apparently it’s a recent addition to the area as well. I went on a Sunday to watch a game and they’ll let you know which TV has which game and they all have sound. We were upstairs on couches so we were comfortable and a server comes around here and there to check on things as well. Overall, drinks were cheap and well-poured, having so many TVs was amazing, and everyone that worked here was super nice. I’ll definitely be back!

Perfect neighborhood sports bar. Nothing fancy but that’s not what you’d want in a sports bar anyways. Tons of TVs and cheap drinks. Great atmosphere and some games to keep you occupied while you watch.

I go here because I live close. It’s divey and the drinks are cheap. Don’t expect first class service, but the drinks are cheap.

Service was not the best, took a long time for food and drinks. It seemed like people work was not interested in the job or people waiting at the bar.

Midway is the place to go if you want a non-douchey sports bar with nice folks running it. This place is located in the old Beauty Ballroom, so it’s way bigger than it needs to be, in a good way. During ranger games and soccer matches, they put the game up on the giant screen that spans the entire stage floor to ceiling. They have tab giveaways and house rounds for certain events and activities. There are dozens of TVs, so you can literally request any game to be played. There are also tons of arcade games, including my favorite, Big Buck Hunter. This place is my home away from home. ONLY thing is it could be cleaner. The bathrooms are kind of gross, and many of the surfaces are sticky. I guess it’s too big of a place to keep squeaky clean. Would be nice if it was cleaner.

Getchyo self a cheap whiskey ginger and play some pool. The music goes from hard core to Kate Bush in a matter of minutes. You gotta be that kind of person to love it, which I am. Super rad to coming during fútbol games.

Love this place. they let me bring my dog inside, have full bar, good food and lots of tvs! I just moved to east riverside and am so happy to find this place. The bartenders are very nice too! Excited to watch football this season here!

The wife and I have dropped by Midway for beers on multiple occasions and I always stop by after shows at emos. Good selection of beers and plenty of entertainment on multiple screens. Staff is always attentive but I’m easy. I just want beers. I do miss the legs contests one of the previous establishments used to put on here in the 90’s but that’s ancient Austin history.

If you’re looking for terrible service, dirty restrooms, sexist environment, and a hostile establishment for games, this place is perfect! I witnessed LeBron go king mode, and a young lady get full beer can thrown at her head. The owners failed to take any responsibility for this trashy behavior. This is a place that you’ll probably end up getting food poisoning or drugged, go to Midway.

Nothing special about this place. I would consider it bottom of the barrel in terms of what Austin has to offer in the bar scene. Dirty place, rude staff, and generally out of control. We watched the Cavs game last night and it was evident the business takes no responsibility for their customers. Just a quick tip to the owners: Get your shit together. Just because you serve overpriced alcoholic beverages, doesn’t mean you get to stay in business. I’m sick of businesses with the attitude«you need us.» Nah.

We came here to watch the NBA Finals and were not impressed. Not only was the owner rude and unprofessional, we witnessed an altercation during the game in which someone got seriously hurt. I do not go to bars to be in danger, to deal with rowdy behavior, or to deal with trashy patrons. I go to bars to have fun and drink with friends. This was not the first time we have had a negative experience here, but after this second visit we will be sure not to be giving this place another chance. I am all for«dive» and«lowkey» bars but this place is just downright dirty. I try my hardest to give establishments second chances and to not leave negative reviews. I would rather stay at home and do nothing than visit this place again. There are so many cool, awesome bars in Austin, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

I really like this place but there’s some improvements needed. First off ITHOSTSTHECLEVELANDBROWNSBACKERSONSUNDAYS! (Along with a 49ers group). And they do fun stuff for the fans in each group like browns fans can do a halftime football throw to win a $ 50 bar tab! And u can do betting on games before it all starts. Touchdown over 60 yards and all the Brownies fans got free sailor jerry shots! It’s pretty dope. Oh and free popcorn and pretzels on Sundays. And $ 2PBR Drafts all week now! Improvements: the soda coming out of the guns constantly tastes like shit. I think they just need to make sure to run the lines for a few seconds before they fill the cup. Tap Beers sometimes don’t taste cold enough. But it’s all good. And I wish they had a better outside patio! I hate that you can’t watch the game from outside. And you can’t even hear the game from outside!(Something to do with the wiring and speakers don’t connect. Meh.) One time they did do a whole setup outside w tents that was cool! Watching football outside w beer is my fave so that’s why it’s not 5 stars. Staff is super friendly super awesome tho! They are all so nice! I heart them. Amount of TVs upstairs and downstairs is INSANE!

So weird. For a hot minute(apparently my new favorite phrase) this place was Antone’s. I went straight upstairs after arriving so I didn’t make the connection. This place is great for football game watch parties. They have a bunch of screens. Our group had the upstairs area. I was starving so I grabbed a seat and promptly ordered a cheeseburger with fries. They didn’t have Leinenkugels on their extensive beer menu or I probably would’ve ordered one so I decided to get water instead. I know — I’m exciting. The burger was just okay. Well not really that great at all. I wouldn’t order it again. The edges were crispy and tasted like char grill. Or however you say that. The potato bun was nice at first but near the end the inside turned into a mushy mess. The fries were your standard waffle fries. I spotted a fabulous looking Bloody Mary and asked the waitress about it. She said they had a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar downstairs. I was feeling lazy so didn’t partake but if I come back I’ll definitely order one. A fellow fan ordered the hangover fries. They’re covered in cheese, beer sauce, onions and bacon. Tasty but rich. I only had one fry. Definitely something to share with a group and not tackle yourself. The cocktail waitress was friendly and very attentive throughout the game. Near the end another fan grabbed one of the complimentary popcorn bowls. I’d say skip that. It was not fresh and was no bueno. I’d probably come back for another game but just skip the food and have drinks instead.

Cheap drinks, tons of TV’s, lots of bar games, East Side Pies on the food menu and it’s a 49er bar. Couldn’t ask for much else. They have a huge selection of beers and even their top shelf stuff isn’t too expensive. Lots of seating everywhere all with great views of the sports being broadcasted. They had everything from NFL, NBA, college games and even MMA fights. Best part was upstairs they had a Super Stick Dome hockey game which you don’t see too much anymore. Only minor complaint is the parking lot at night is very dark and kinda sketchy. The minute I parked I was surrounded by two homeless people asking for money. I gave em each a buck and one of them walked away cussing me out for not giving enough. Seriously? I know it’s not Midway’s fault but just be weary rolling up here late at night.

My first review of this place was based on the Unilocal event that I attended here but, this time I actually came in with a group of friends to watch the Browns game! We got to watch the game on the big screen on the first floor! The parking lot was full but, I was able to find parking in the strip mall on the side of the building. When I entered I got ID’ed(thank you for making me feel young) and they asked me who I was there to watch. I told him the Browns and he gave me an orange wrist band, made me pet the Browns dog in the entrance for good luck and pointed me in the direction of where all the Browns fans were. I ordered from the bar because it took the server a while to get to our group. They had the game on the big screen and there was plenty of Browns fans in the audience. The bartender was very friendly and asked me where I was from and I said Cleveland and he gave me a high five. The feeling of comradery here was impressive. I got my IPA and headed back to the table. Even though there was a ton of people ordering from the bar the bartenders were on top of it and I was served very quickly. I ordered a burger and added some fries with it. I got my number and went back to the table. My burger showed up but, my fries never did. At first I just figured they hadn’t come yet but, eventually I realized they were never coming. I inquired with the server and she made sure that they were taken off my ticket so, that I was not charged for them. The burger was juicy, the portion size was huge, the toppings were fresh and flavorful and overall this was a top notch burger! When the burger is oozing and falling apart into the dish, you have my vote on a great burger. They offer great specials on beer during all games but, since I didn’t partake in the specials my tab was a normal sized tab for a sports bar. I was able to pay my tab quickly which is nice since they were turning the bar over for the next game. They also have an outdoor area with some picnic tables and a tv in case you need to catch a smoke during the game. Unfortunately the Browns game wasn’t on that tv when I went out. It’s nice that they have it roped off so that you can get in and out the one door without having to show your ID again. This is the place to watch the game of your choice and cheer on your team! Well done Midway Field House!

Great place to watch Sports! Projection screens are HUGE! Cool place to come with a large group! Its very spacious inside and offers a variety of things to do inside. Cold beer, full bar, big screens, games, games, games! Originally I came here for a Unilocal event which was awesome, and definitely glad I did because this is a Great Location to host big parties! Most other bars in Austin dont have this kind of big space nor the cool vibe this one gives off! Bartenders: Cool. Laid back. Very knowledgeable making drinks & shots! Parking: Plenty!

Excellent sports bar with lots of seating, parking, and TV screens. Kinda short on service though… but sports bars aren’t exactly long on service anyway. When your football game hits a critical point and the TV feed cuts out due to «receiver inactivity» and you tell the bartender and she acknowledges you while going back to her personal conversation behind the bar without lifting a finger… well, that’s when you go downstairs and go search for a guy who looks in charge and will actually do something about it(he did, but it took 6 – 7 min to get things going again). We had an alumni football game watching party there, and the specials were pretty decent, although the wings priced out to $ 1 a piece if that’s your sports bar food of choice. The lounge seating they have with couches surrounding projection screens is pretty awesome and great for crowds. The main stage has a large projection screen that can be viewed from almost anywhere in the bar, which is also awesome. I can only imagine how packed it is for NFL Sundays here. I would recommend that everyone watch their favorite games here – except parking would go from tough to impossible, and there’d be no seating for me.

The only reason they get 2 stars is because their wings are pretty good. Other than that it’s not what I expected it to be. So any other place in Austin would show the TEXAS game on their best and biggest screen except midway. I’ve never gone to a sports bar where they don’t show the home team on the best tv’s. The experience I had was horrible. They had the lsu vs Wisconsin game which was good, on their big screen and had us longhorn fans watching the game on a way smaller screen which had horrible quality. There where clearly waaaay more UT fans than others, especially seeing as how the university is down the street!!! We were all packed into a corner by the bar where there weren’t enough seats and it was hot for almost the entire game. What made it worse is they where out of some of their food items when it was time to order(I ordered before game started) finally got my wings close to halftime, that’s crazy!!! If you want to watch the game next time, there’s a better place to watch with in walking distance. Their competitor puts the UT games on their best and biggest screen. I’ll give midway another try but as of now I was really disappointed and many UT fans left because of the whole situation.

I really enjoyed Midway Field House. It would be great to have a party here. The bartenders are really chill and good people. They know how to mix great drinks and are pretty much as good as it gets… or as one would expect here. I like the great selection of games that midway has and the awesome amount of screens that they had. They won the night that I was there because they were playing the Orioles game… and I’m a big fan. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to watch a great game either sitting down, or while playing pool with friends. You really just can’t go wrong.
