Clicks Billiards

Well, since Rack Daddy’s had been having some trouble and has since closed, I decided to check this place out again. I forgot it was pretty cool! Staff is nice, composed of mostly attractive, experienced ladies. The pool tables are plentiful and seemingly well maintained. The bathrooms are usually clean. Jukebox has all kinds of cool music. Alcohol selection is great, definitely better selection than Rack Daddys. Its definitely not ghetto like Racks… its fairly safe, Ive not seen any fights or anything like that.
Loses one star for being *slightly* more expensive than Rack Daddys, and parking can be an issue. Be careful, there are plenty of glass and tire hazards in the parking lot. Lots of trashy bums, thieves and othersuch bad people might be hanging out not too far away so lock your car up good.

Haven’t seen it on an especially busy night. YET! But from where I’ve seen elsewhere it is definitely going to be my go to billiard hall for the foreseeable future. And pool is free on Mondays.

Sounds like I wasn’t the only one with a similar experience. I give it 3 stars for the one bartender that was originally serving us, for being able to pick our own music, and how close it is to where I live. However, I think I’ll take my business elsewhere. Rude management. Feel sorry for the employees.

Good old fashion pool hall. The staff can seem a little grumpy, but thats just how they are. Give them money and they will give you drinks. You can watch 5 or 6 sports games at once. They also have greasy snacks when the fryer not broke.

Went to clicks on ⁶⁄₁₁ and it was a fantastic experience! The bar staff was efficient and the drinks were awesome. I found out that service industry gets free pool and 25% off bar tabs! I will definitely be back!

Went back only because my friend lives close and decided to go for a drink. Not because I wanted to, but for a quick drink. Chelsea if your not manager, you should be. You treated me with respect the first time and this last time. Music was much better and atmosphere was better. Same week night that I experienced my most unpleasant time at this place. Jess was still there but treated me with respect, much better time than the last.

The manager and waitresses are not welcoming at all. Poor customer service and not attentive.

My previous review was basically a calling out of poor judgment when this establishment chose not to serve my boyfriend who was not drunk, causing a scene, being loud nor belligerent. And all this by a bartender that had not been serving us or interacting with us AT ALL. Also, when I emailed the management in regards to the incident, I received no response.
I understand wanting to be a responsible bar manager. I have family in the business at managment level. I’m just saying know your public. Sharpen your people reading skills. For that matter, get some people skills. When one is in a service industry, one needs to know how to deal with their clientele.

Whoa what’s with all the haters here on Unilocal?Came here for the first time and was pretty impressed. Free pool if you order drinks from the bar? That awesome. These aren’t your dive bar type pool tables either. The pool tables are full sized and very clean. The felt, cue balls, pockets, bumpers and cue sticks are in amazing shape! My only complaint is the lack of hand chalk. Anyways the drinks are a little watered down and they serve typical bar food so really just come here for the pool.

Came to Clicks today to watch the Denver Bronco’s game (they are the unofficial bar for Bronco’s fans). They have a side room for Bronco’s fans to watch the game in. Unfortunately, while there were 15 Bronco’s fans watching, it was on a 20 year old projection TV. Very fuzzy, very poor color. Looking around the bar, they had very few HD TV’s and way too many CRT/​Projection TV’s. So its not a lot of fun to watch the game here. But, they do have the audio on, and I couldn’t find another place to watch *and listen* to the game.
They had one bartender for the entire joint (Chelsea?) — so it was self-​service and rather slow. I’m not sure why they had so little help in the heart of Sunday football.
The food consisted of mostly fried items that were of sub-​par quality. I believe the salsa came directly from a jar of Pace Picante. We live in Austin, how you can you serve such crappy salsa?!? You don’t come here for the food, and if i were forced to go here again I would try to sneak in my own food.
Besides ordering a ton of food, I was also drinking diet cokes. Not since living in New York City have i had to pay for refills. My 32oz diet coke was $ 3.70 a pop. If you want to charge for soda refills that is fine — but very un-​Texas of you. Shouldn’t you at least bring it to (my) attention that refills are not free? You might be the only restaurant in Austin that doesn’t give free refills, so I would respect you much more if you could at least be open about your policy.
The bar does have wifi — which was unexpected.
I won’t be coming here again.

I have a government issued ID and they denied me service calling it «not valid». There is nothing more valid than that! The manager is rude and disgusts me; lacking any customer service skills or enough sense to know the type of security clearance you must go through to get a government ID. She really needs to be replaced. I will NEVER visit this place again, and I will tell everyone I know.

The nice thing about this place is that if you are ordering drinks @ the bar, the pool is free!
The pool tables are nicely maintained, as well we the cues… but they don’t have hand chalk?! The drinks here are a bit watered down, I had about 3 cranberry vodkas, but it didn’t really taste like there was any vodka at all… and I really didn’t feel anything from them.
The good thing is that the tables are layed out in such a way that you don’t always feel like you are combating with another table.
At times like this I wish Unilocal would allow for half stars! I would give it 2 stars for drinks, but 3 for pool tables… so I’m rounding down.

One of my favorite hangouts. I really like to go there after errands, and just relax. Made a few friends there, and the bar staff is awesome. I’ve gotten to know them really well. Pretty good prices too. Love the Big Ass Beer specials, and the food is outstanding. I love the fried mushrooms. I also love that there’s a jukebox which has inexpensive music. The bartenders even pay for some songs sometimes. Very nice work, ladies.

Service was wonderful, staff is great! Food is decent if you are just looking for appetizers, beer specials also good. Didn’t like walking in at seven on a monday night to see a few people drunk, the crowd is def a little rough… played texas hold em though and that was fun!

Cool place! Pool tables, good drinks & bar food. We had a variety of food: all tastes great! I did not see anyone smoking in there at all. Reasonably priced & the service was fantastic!

Lots of pool tables, even a private poker and pool room in the back. There is a jukebox with a large selection for cheap. Can’t go wrong with $ 4 big ass beers after a long day at work. By the way, I heard through the grapevine that if you work in the service industry, free pool after 10pm!

Austin has a huge pool community and this is the worst place to play pool at, hands down. They «allow» smoking and it’s an Austin ordinance to not allow smoking. By the time I left, my eyes were red from the smoke and my clothing had the smoke scent.
The service is average and their staff does not go out of there way to check on you. If you give them eye contact, they will stop by.
The perk is they have leagues, which give them business, but any other day, they are very slow.
We have choices for billiard establishments, and I would recommend Slick Willies or Fast Eddies, for a professional, clean environment with great service from Management and staff.

This a great place to chill with friends and enjoy a beer and a game of pool.

Every now and then some people from work decide we should go here as a group, and I end up going.
I like playing pool. I like alcohol. I like people from work, and hanging out with them.
But this place blows. The jukebox blares music so loud that you can hardly have a conversation. Its not exactly music that I want to be hearing, but thats just me.
Apparently this place is above and beyond Austin’s anti-​smoking ordinances too, because they just outright allow it. They may have signs, but I still think they provide ashtrays and don’t at all discourage patrons. I forgot how nice it was to live in a smoke-​free city until I came back here. I could file a complaint, but why bother when its just easier to never come back.
Sorry Clicks, I’m sure lots of people love this place, but my senses can’t take it for over an hour. I’ll be going downtown from now on for my billiards needs.
