A first glance you might think $ 6 for a hot dog is a little expensive, BUT then you notice it’s a Nathan 100% beef frank, that the $ 6 deal is a combo and comes with fries OR chips AND a soda(including IBC bottled root beer as an option-omg!) or bottled water… AND your choice of about 24 different toppings! That’s what I call custom! You only want a dog? — 4 bucks. Same goes for Frito pie, the sausage wrap(Elgin sausage), and nachos. My first visit here and I couldn’t resist getting the bacon fried Big Dog combo; grilled onions, shredded cheddar, and mustard for me please. One word, YUM. A little salty as you would expect from the cured bacon. A nice cold beer is the best beverage to enhance your dog experience — helps balance the savory and saltiness. You can bring with with you to the food court(BYOB) or pop one open when you arrive at your destination if you opt for to go. Big, juicy dog and excellent toppings(onions grilled perfectly). I asked for a tiny side of chili to try and the owner Melissa obliged. Can be picky about my chili and her’s was pretty darn good. All meat, heavy on the chili powder, but nice balance. Would definitely order this next time. Hot-Doggin also has a few specialty dogs in case you can’t decide on your own(you know who you are; I’m like that to too sometimes). I’ve been told the Rockport is the most popular, so maybe check it out. Located just between Lakeway and Steiner Ranch right off of 620& Hudson Bend Road. New addition to 620 Food City Truck Court. Yea! There are now 3 trucks in the same lot to choose from so you can easily please your entire party of hungry people. Please support local businesses. Thank you!
