Holiday Inn Austin Conference Center

Smokey hallways. Damp carpet. Blood-​stained bed linens. Stained dust ruffle. Dirty coffeemaker. Need I go on?
Honestly, I would never go back here and I travel to Austin for work at least once a month. The staff is friendly, but when you pay $ 120– $ 150 to stay in a Holiday Inn, the very LEAST you expect it to be is clean. I was honestly grossed out by my room. When housekeeping made the bed, it would have been impossible to not have noticed a dried bloodstain on the fitted sheet when it’s right in the middle of the bed. The smokey hallways and damp carpet in the room speaks for itself.
I would rather the 2 hours back to the Twin Cities than to stay here overnight after a long day of working in Austin. Appalled.

Horrible Hotel. Water from the sink is filled with chlorine and made me sick. Front desk wouldn’t put us near pool even though there were rooms available. 4 different maids came to my room to clean before checkout which woke my newborn. Lastly, we paid $ 150 and they dont even have complimentary breakfast… DO NOT STAY HERE

We had the large suite on second floor. AC wasn’t working properly, all on or all off. Very noisy from pool noise. Staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean. Bath fan on when light was on, so that was annoying and noisy.

Clean and comfortable rooms.
Nice indoor pool and fitness center.
Hallway carpets were old and dirty. Food crumbs everywhere to be seen.
Housekeeping did not clean my room.
Had to do that myself as desk staff were «too busy».
Restaurant mainly had pub grub, fried foods.
Breakfast/​coffee bar only open until 3pm so no evening option there for something a bit more healthier.
Will likely look for other hotel options if returning to area.

Basic but clean and comfortable rooms.
Pool is in the center courtyard of the hotel so the lobby area smells faintly of chlorine but I did not notice any smell in the room.
Hotel is attached to Torges Live Sports Pub which for a hotel bar, was better than average. Typical fried bar /​pub food, but prices were reasonable and they had live music on Saturday night.

Excellent Service! Very accommodating! Joey was very friendly and very professional. He made sure our stay was comfortable and convenient. He is an asset to the hotel and establishment!
So glad we stayed there instead of the hotel next door.

Over the top/​high end customer service @ this very lovely hotel. Lisa H, night manager, left a map of road closings under my door in the AM. I mentioned my destination at check in, & she printed map w/​closings due to unseasonal SD blizzard. I travel a LOT, never experienced this level of thoughtful service before.

I stay at the hotel about twice or three times a year. I think it is an OK hotel going through a modernization project. The rooms are nice but you can definitely hear people in the adjoining rooms but other than that it is the typical Holiday Inn hotel. they do have an attached restaurant and bar which was good the last time I tried it. The rooms were clean. The internet was fast. The TV’s are nice and the bed was comfortable. I will be staying agin the next I am in Austin but not sure there are many other options besides the Holiday Inn.

It was easy to fall asleep surrounded by so much expected-​ness. It’s clean, safe and quiet. Perfect for a work trip. I wouldn’t center my entertainment around it.

Much better now that everything has been renovated but would prefer a better work station desk in the rooms. Fitness room is really small but at least they have one! The AmericInn next door does not.

Very nice, clean hotel in a convenient location off the Interstate. They offered a coupon for the restaurant in the hotel, as well as a discount on breakfast at Perkin’s next door. Front desk staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again when passing through town.

The Holiday Inn was undergoing renovations when we visited, but the noise didn’t bother us. Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice décor. Since the hotel is integrated with the convention center the locations of the parking lot, front desk, and hotel rooms were far from one another. We didn’t mind the extra walk but they could’ve sectioned off the hotel and convention center better.
