I have been coming here since the early 90’s. Food is always FRESH and they will make anything spicy upon request. I recommend spicy sesame chicken or spicy beef and broccoli.

Great family establishment, solid phở, and solid American-Chinese food. Recommend the Beef Phở as well as Chicken with Snow Peas, Beef with Broccoli, and Combination Fried Rice. Seems to be a robust to-go and delivery service vs a fancy sit down establishment.

There is text on the front of the building that states that lunch is served till 230 I just went in at 2:04 and was handed a dinner menu, I asked for a lunch menu and was told no… the business closes between lunch and dinner so under what circumstances that was necessary I don’t know but 2pm isn’t dinner on a Saturday in Austin Texas… their food is amazing but I will never go back… not even a Unilocaler just want people to know that this is the kind of business they are running… they wanted me to pay more simply because they felt like it…

Been coming since before I was born. Literally, my mom and dad we’re going here in college. I’ve always gotten the sesame chicken and it’s the best in town. No fluff, just crispy, sweet, delicious chicken. The owners are super nice and the service is quick. Will be taking my kids here when I have some.

The 2 stars was only for the sauce that did NOT come ON the sweet and sour CHICKEN as stated on the menu. Yes it was in a separate to go container — this was odd & very unusual for any Chinese establishment however It was still very good. Now, the lack of 3 stars was because; the rest of the food order was f***** up. For example: the lo mein noodles resembled angel hair pasta I guess? I don’t know it didn’t look right and it sure didn’t taste like your typical lo mein combination dish… so in conclusion, If you are looking for an overpriced Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood that has mediocre cuisine, here’s your place. This take out ‘disappointment’ was placed last week. Hope your experience was the better one.

These people are so sweet. I get takeout from here regularly. I love the Phở and the Gyoza. Check it out if you’re in the neighborhood.

Hao-ppy Hao-ppy! I love the shrimp with lemongrass. We have also enjoyed phở tai and the Bo Luc Lac. Delicious.

Still in search of a good phở place in south Austin. I will say I’m very picky with my broths but this place has great beef phở. When I don’t need extra fish sauce the broth is great in my book! We also got the seafood egg noodle soup… again broth on point! Went on a Friday night and they were busy. Overlook the brash short way the waiters may come across, they’re hustling to get orders filled! Ours came out fairly quickly. Will return. Again we can only speak for the soups we are. Have not tried their Chinese menu so I can’t speak for that.

Great place for Late Night take out. I don’t normally eat super late, but when I do, I’m definitely coming back to this place! Dinner servings are huge, easily enough for two people. We ordered the Combo Pad Thai, the Happy Family, fried dumplings, and two egg rolls. So as you can imagine, we’re now eating chinese leftovers for the next few days… I ain’t complaining! **TIP: Order fish sauce Happy Family: Lots and Lots of Everything! Lots of stir fried vegetables, beef, chicken, and pork. Vegetables were perfectly cooked, lightly crunchy, not mushy at all! Combo Pad Thai: Lots of flavor, light on the peanut sauce, but not much shrimp(possibly 2 total). That was the only downfall to this dish. Next time I’ll skip the Combo and just get the Shrimp Pad Thai. Pan fried Dumplings: These suckers are BIG! Nearly the size of golf ball. Egg Rolls: Crunchy veggies inside… that’s 1st! Freaking Delicious! Service: Extremely Friendly!

Good food at a decent price. I just wasn’t hugely impressed with it… it seemed kind of uninspired somehow.

We picked up take out today. The food was pretty bad. Didn’t finish it. Don’t have much else to say. But I wouldn’t recommend this place. DONOTORDERTHESHRIMPWITHLOBSTERSAUCE. It was horrible.

This place is my favorite Phở spot, hands down! But everything is good here. The waiter is always going 100 mph lol but never forgets anything. Lynn is the best, I feel like part owner when I go in to eat. They treat us so good. As for take out they are the best. They make sure you have everything you need. I highly recommend this place to anyone! And that’s easy for me to say since I am the biggest food critic in Austin…(at least that’s what my son says…)

The food here used to be amazing. Service was decent family owned. Since becoming popularized in mid-2000 thing has fallen apart horrible food horrible service. Ordered general tso chicken one day received general tso would have been acceptable to me if the duck wasn’t turning bad. Used to be open 7 days a week with delivery now closed on Monday no delivery before 5 that should tell you something.

Waiter threw our menus at us and wouldn’t give us time to look over them before asking what we wanted to drink. Decided I would go somewhere else to eat because I was getting a bad vibe from him, but that I would give them my business anyways since I had just sat down. I ordered a Hot Sake and Crab Rangoons and paid $ 30 for them. Never eating here again. Edit: I just noticed some other reviews talking about the bad service. If you get that one awful waiter, you’re going to have a bad time. The others are probably better, but my opinion about overcharging me stays the same.

I had really friendly and quick service! I ordered the chicken phở and didn’t love that they used a beef broth. The phở was just okay, but they had a large menu with well priced lunch specials so I would still come back and try something off the Chinese menu.

Their sesame chicken is definitely the star of the show. Most of the other dishes [especially anything w/beef] tend to be hit or miss. Noodle dishes are usually consistent though, just make sure you ask what kind of noodles are being used that night if you have a preference. But my word, they are SONICE. Sooooooo nice.

How does this place have good reviews? I just got the saddest BBQ pork vermicelli bowl of my life. It came with some iceberg lettuce(like basically clear lettuce), overcooked pork, mayyybe a tablespoon of shredded carrots, half a tablespoon of peanuts, and a single slice of cucumber(a. single. slice!). This is like the airline equivalent of a vermicelli bowl. The delivery guy was really nice, so at least they have that going for them. Hai Ky will remain my go-to.

We absolutely love it here. The food is great, but the service is impeccable. Now, to be clear, this is all about Lynn who is so personable and a gem to be around. Food: I’ve been searching Austin for decent crab rangoons and Hao Hao has great ones. Actual crab in them! Sesame chicken is fabulous Sesame shrimp is fantastic. We order take out at least once a week. Totally reasonable prices for tons of food. Enjoy!

Just walked in to grab a bite to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Only the manager was there. The TV was blaring the news along with closed captions. I asked if she could turn the sound off, that if I wanted to eat in front of a TV blaring the news I’d rather eat at home. She told me no, she wanted to watch the news. «Really? You’d rather watch TV than have a customer?» I asked. «Yes, I’d rather watch the news». I left and will never go back. Talk about bad service!!!

Best Vietnamese Spring Rolls in Austin. Not jam packed with lettuce like some other places. Try them fish sauce even though the peanut sauce isn’t shabby either. I am also a sucker for their Hot and Spicy Vietnamese Chicken Soup on a cold day or in the sweltering summer, its just that delicious.

I don’t care how good the food is; if your server treats you like sh*t we have no reason to ever step in your business again. Here’s what happened yesterday around 6PM. We’re greeted with a friendly smile at the door. This obviously is the server other Unilocalers rave about; knows all the regulars names. SUPER sweet personality all the way for some lucky diners in her section. Instead we get this guy that is gruff and nearly angered at the thought that we would ask for a kids portion of chicken fried rice. The same flat unenthusiastic face for our entire dining experience. I’m not asking you to go corporate; like wearing flair and spitting out appetizer selections like extreme crab rangoon or kickin’ egg drop soup. You clearly DON’T enjoy your job so go be a downtown parking meter reader or something. The food was good; but who cares when your treated like crap. The wife had the tofu vermicelli bowl and the boy had his usual fried rice. Having had a late lunch I had a couple of beers while watching this guy operate. So, no love in the service department for the Asian Soup Nazi. Funny, factoring in his behavior I expected at least a sinister mustache
