We put up a couple here as we have stayed at many Hampton’s. They have also and loved it. There is a great amount of road construction, so get a room in the back. It is too tough to cross the busy road so just drive to the many places in the area or order in.

I stayed in the King Whirlpool Suite and it was fantastic! The service at this hotel was amazing, especially Mike at the Front Desk – he was incredibly helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed, including calling me when my rides arrived. The price for such nice accomodations was very reasonable. This hotel was very clean and everything was clean new and modern and the hotel even smelled fresh! I am definitely staying here again on my next trip to Austin.

This is a fairly new Hampton and not easily found through gps/google maps, etc. Luckily I read the hotel description that it was hidden on a hill behind some oaks. It is accessible on both sides of the road but still a little confusing. All the regular Hampton amenities — Diamond parking in front, free internet, breakfast, cookies when you arrive in the evening. Despite it’s hidden location, there are a lot of restaurants in the area and you are only 10 – 15 minutes from downtown depending on traffic(which we all know is a crapshoot, so good luck). Even though this HGI gets a pass on everything, I wouldn’t stay here again unless I had business in the immediate area. It’s just too far out of the way from what I like to do when I am in Austin. Oh and did anyone mention that there’s a cemetery on the other side of the hotel? Kinda creeped me out.

This is a fantastic Hampton Inn. One of the best that I have stayed in. It is clean, quiet, has a very attentive staff.. everything that you would want in a hotel such as a Hampton Inn. I would give it 5 stars if not for the location.. if you are coming to town as an Austin tourist or to tear up the downtown bars and music venues, this is not your hotel.. .a little too far out of the way. However, if you are here for business or a family function in the south end of Austin, this is your place. Highly recommended!

Beautiful modern clean hotel. Free breakfast is full and relaxing in such a nice environment. The rooms have a micro, refrigerator and is super comfy. Traffic on the highway is away from the hotel, but is very challenging. The city is working on that as you can see. Unless you dash across the street for Pizza Hut, you will need a car. Recommend Jim’s Restaurant and Jack Allen’s nearby.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and common areas, the complimentary breakfast was great… what’s NOT to like about this place? I will come back to this place every time I’m here for business(it helps that the home office for the company I work for is 5 minutes away!)

We stayed here for a wedding in Dripping Springs. It’s a good«in between» because it’s close enough to Austin to be able to enjoy the hill country and the city in one visit. Getting a reservation was easy :-) when we arrived, we were greeted with M&M cookies, lemonade and cucumber water at the front desk. The place is very clean, quiet and well kept. Free wifi. Nice, comfortable, affordable.

I’m glad to have a nice little Hilton property on the Southwest side of town! My office is a couple of miles from here, and up till now I’ve had to stay by the airport or downtown. The pros – free parking, free internet, free breakfast, brand new property, and good hospitality. Jack Allen’s Kitchen is a quick drive down the road if you want a fun and tasty dinner, too. The cons – unless your work or your family is out here, there’s not a lot to do in this part of town. It’s not walking distance from anything, really. And there are only a few restaurants nearby. Traffic on 71 is terrible too. It took me 7 minutes to get out of the parking lot one morning. That’s pretty ridiculous, even for rush hour.
