Run don’t walk away from this pit. In the past year, since we have stayed here, te property has gone from an OK value to a pit reminiscent of the black hole of Calcutta! You name it and this dog trot has committed i, ! It. From incompetent staff, to a room that was heavily smoked in and not cleaned, to a refrigerator that did not work. I am sitting at a desk in a chair very carefully, since if I lean forward te chair will dump me. Not on LR only did ey have o move us from a room that the window sash fell out of, bu t the had the nerve to tr and charge us for an upgraded room. Never, never never stay in the dive!!!

It’s not an expensive place and you get what you pay for. I’ve read bad reviews stating that the place was dirty, but I did not experience that. My room was clean. I had maid service once a week and the sheets and towels were always changed. the room was vacuumed and mopped. I was unfortunate enough to get a noisy a/c unit, but then I’m sure if I had said something they would have fixed it. They did swap out a couple of chairs in my room when I mentioned that the ones I had didn’t work right, and they did get the common laundry room dryers adjusted when I said my clothes were still coming out damp. They did it professionally too… I did not at all feel like I was bothering them with the feedback. Plates, pots, cups, cutlery, coffee maker, etc… all available and in good condition. The floor and walls are paper thin though so expect to hear every sound made outside your room, every footstep above you. Free Wifi is painfully slow. It’s a 50⁄50 chance that pages do not load and if they do, could take a minute or so at most times. Not even adequate. You can pay about $ 19 for a month of «high speed» wifi, that gives you less than 3mb/s data speed. Basic cable channels on TV only, but refer to the first statement — inexpensive place and still value for money. There is a take out breakfast counter. 2 types of coffee, hot water with tea bags and sachets of hot chocolate and some malt drink. About 6 types of Nature Select bars, two kinds of room temperature muffins, apples and oranges. That’s it. Never changes ever. All in all, for me since I need Internet connectivity for work, I wouldn’t hesitate to return if they fixed the wifi. Just my opinion, but I think the bad reviews are stemming from unmatched personal expectations. I stay in a lot of 5 star hotels too and the Extended Stay would get a scathing review if I compared them… but it never claims to be a 5 stay hotel and at it’s price point, I think it does an above average job.

I will have to say that this particular hotel was surprisingly good being that Extended Stays in Austin have a bad reputation for horrible customer service and just plain disgusting hotel rooms. But in this case, our room was actually decent. They offered us basic amenities, a clean room, large room, and housekeeping was on par. I will say that the hotel is also conveniently located right off of Highway 290 and 35. Management seem to be competent and they also had pretty good rates. My family and I stayed here for 2 months and did not worry about break-ins in the parking lot. I will say that the hotel is somewhat outdated but according to management they are planning upgrades this year 2015. If you are looking for a hotel that is affordable, quiet, and conveniently located to major highways, restaurants and shopping, this may be the right Hotel for you. FYI, stay away from the Extended Stays on I 35 near Rundberg. That particular extended stay has a lot of corporate office issues, drugs, car break ins and not enough staff for the size of the hotel that it is.

If you could give a place zero stars, this would qualify. I booked this hotel through Priceline, and when I arrived at 8:30PM, no one was at the reception desk. There was one guy just hanging out in the lobby, but no one working there. I used the lobby phone to call the front desk, and it went to the machine. I then used my own phone to call with no answer. I waited around 10 minutes and asked the guy if there was anyone there, he said there was suppose to be… but no one appeared. So I left. It was late enough already and I needed to find another hotel. Once I found one and got in my room, I called to tell them what happened. Priceline had to call the hotel to find out what happened so of course they answer and say they were there the whole time, so they will not refund my money. What total crap. Don’t even try this place. Shady operation!!!

This place was not as bad as it’s reviews– it is no four star but you get what you pay for. I was expecting the worst, but the beds and the RR were clean. It seems that each room has a sofa sleeper and a full kitchen, good for families on a budget. The sofa was stained but it also seems that there are a lot of families that stay here. We did not have any problems with the staff or the location. There is no room service/house keeping, which may be why it is so cheap. The day if our check out we ran into a guy whose wife’s purse was stolen from the pool area– not sure what happened at the end if that story.(it had to be another guest, there are no neighborhoods near by) The breakfast consists of fruit and granola bars.

BEDBUG infested. The bathroom was filthy with hair from the previous guests. The bed needed to be replaced. Just see the photo of the bed headboard that I posted.
