She is funny and personable and there is never a dull moment, not to mention she is a badass with my hair. It has taken me years to find someone who actually listens to what I want! I have an appointment next week and can not wait to have amazing hair once again!!!

I’m not one to schedule regular hair cuts, but I can’t wait for my next one! Roxy did such an amazing job with everything, from the discussion about the cut to personally walking you out to the front door at the end. This was my first time meeting her and having my hair done by her. She’s very understanding, and a very sweet and casual woman. The pricing was out of this world for the quality of work she did. Will be recommending her to future friends and family!

I recently moved to the area and was nervous to find someone new to cut my hair, having had some bad experiences in the past. I was very lucky to find Roxy! I could not be more happy with my haircut, and Roxy was very thorough in asking me what I was looking for, and making sure I was comfortable all the way through. Not only that, Roxy was incredibly welcoming and pleasant – my haircut flew by and I’m already looking forward to my next appointment!

I received an airbrush spray tan from Gypsy Chic and absolutely loved it! The technician made me feel really comfortable and my color looked natural and flawless! I will definitely be back for another one!

Roxy is so awesome!!! Very genuine and kind. She took her time before she even cut my hair to get to know me, asked if I wanted any delicious wine or a snack… very hospitable!
The salon she is in is a suite of about 20 mini salons. Everyone has their own room and their own style. She has hers decorated very cute and very neat and clean. She was playing her own Pandora music, which I thought was really cool.

Roxy is definitely my new hairstylist. My hair looks super cute, it’s never awkward silence like some places, she’s friendly, she knows what she’s doing, she has you look at your hair every snip of the way to make sure you’re comfortable with it, she asks you lots of questions to get to know what exactly you’re looking for, and not at one point did I feel rushed. Definitely recommend her!

Roxy in a word: FANTASTIC! She did my hair and makeup, as well as my MOH’s, for my wedding in May. I met with her three times total: a first run-​through, for my bridal portraits, and for my actual wedding. I can’t recommend her enough!
In initial communication, Roxy made it clear she was more experienced with hair. I didn’t have enough bridesmaids for her normal suite of 4 hairdo’s, so we worked together and she agreed to do the hair and makeup for 2 people. In terms of hair, she has great technique and if you’re not sure what you want to do, she will expand on whatever idea you have or any style you suggest. With makeup, she was perfectly honest she was a work in progress. She took notes on the colors and types of makeup she used on me. My favorite thing about her is how open to feedback she is – if the eye makeup was a bit too heavy or the blush the wrong color, she immediately corrected it without taking any offense.
Roxy drove up to our hotel the morning of the wedding and fixed me and my MOH’s hair. We had a great time despite the fact she was stressed from being stuck in traffic before arriving, which I knew upset her. But you couldn’t tell! She is so sweet, and a very calming person. I would not recommend Roxy to someone who is super high strung and has unrealistic expectations. But if you are more focused on having fun and enjoying the day, Roxy is the girl for you!

Gypsy Chic is owned and operated by Roxy Miles. It is actually inside My Salon Suite. The cool thing about MSS is that the rate for the rooms is pretty low, so low, I’m thinking about following up on my teenage dream of becoming a stylist. Because of that, it seems like the owner/​operators can charge lower fees for their services without sacrificing quality. At least that is what I have found with Gypsy Chic.
Also, when you go, you are in a private room with your stylist so it lends a different experience altogether than going to a big open salon where you are next to other guests and stylists: more honest, more fun, it’s like going to happy hour with a girlfriend except you come out with more rockin’ hair than you came in with!
Roxy is a graduate from the famed Avenue Five Institute. I have never had the pleasure of visiting Avenue Five, but know many people who swear by their student’s work. Now I can enjoy the benefits without driving to the other side of town!
As others have said, Roxy is on trend, hip, fun, and great. And if you are going to spend an unadulterated hour or two, shouldn’t it be with someone who’s fun and easy to talk to? Also, she has wine and beer. Even more like happy hour. Score!
The thing I like best is that Roxy listens to you about what you want and she cuts slowly and let’s you check at each major step. Definitely eliminates those crying jags when someone chops off all your hair in one go.
You can even go on her website to schedule a free consultation or to schedule a $ 5 «new client» bang trim to get an idea about her as a stylist. I have never seen a stylist offer a free consultation before. Most value their time so highly they wouldn’t consider it. This tells me, Roxy values your satisfaction with your hair more than making a quick buck.
Have you ever sat in a stylist’s chair and immediately wanted to get up and run out of there? Me too. Imagine going into something and knowing you could mutually agree whether or not the person with the scissors is the right person to touch your locks? That would definitely eliminate that awkward feeling when you sit in a stylist’s chair and you start regretting it cause it seems like they have a Supercuts do and want to cut off all your curls and give you the dorkiest «mom-​bob» the world has ever seen.
I went to Roxy a couple weeks ago to get a blow-​out before a friend’s wedding. I was stylist shopping anyway and found Roxy: she’s less expensive than Blo Bar, and she had great Unilocal reviews, was independent (would rather give my $$ to a person than a corporation), and she was conveniently located to me. Perfecto.
She did a great job on the blow out, so yesterday I went in to get a trim. It looks great and can’t beat the price. If you are stylist shopping yourself, I recommend checking out Gypsy Chic since I have a feeling Roxy is about to get fully loaded with clientele and then be able to raise her prices on new customers (as she should) while still grandfathering in her original clients.

Just went for my first visit and already scheduled my second one. I love Kevin Murphy products, which is all she carries, so that was a plus for me. She listened to what I wanted (gray coverage) and offered some great options that she felt would work. No pressure, and very knowledgeable about hair. Although I have extremely thick hair, she took her time and only added a minimal extra charge for the extra color she had to use (pretty standard). I even trusted her to cut it, which I wasn’t scheduled for. Roxy was great to talk to, a true hair expert, and reasonably priced. All around excellent experience. Recommended for any thick, curly haired ladies out there.

Roxy worked her magic, with Kevin Murphy organic products you simply cannot go wrong.
She started of with highlights, they came out fabulous.
Then a shampoo and conditioning treatment with a scalp massage afterwards, absolute heaven.
My haircut also turned out great.
It is such a unique one on one experience you will love it.
Roxy is so up to date with all the latest techniques don’t hesitate to call her.
I know I’ll be back.
