I really love diner food. EZ’s was just middle of the road diner food, though. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great. It was like a pair of sweatpants that fit, it was just food. Will I go back? Sure, but it’s not because of a craving, it’s just to satiate my hunger.

I use to go to the one in Dallas but once I moved to Austin I had to try this location. This is a great location, food is great and everyone is very friendly. I love all their pizzas and the cheesy curly fries are so good! We will eat here again soon!

Great food! Good customer service, really cool old school diner atmosphere! Bison burger and focaccia brad were amazing!

Well, EZ’s is an old establishment that appeals to some of us that have been in the central Texas area for a long time. I can’t say it’s done much in the way of modernizing or refreshing its menu/décor to appeal to the younger and hipper generation. One of the great things that this specific EZ’s location has going for it is its $ 2 off of $ 7 for anyone with a UTID card. It ends up being a pretty significant on a burger, fries, and drink(think greater than 20% off!) However, I admit that the food is very mediocre and typical of an American café style restaurant. All in all, EZ’s is nothing special, but it seems that they’re ok with that. I am too.

I ate Ez’s on march 20, 2013. I recall a coworker speaking to me about this place and raving on it. I finally got over there and needless to say that I was underwhelmed folks. I mean I just don’t get it at all. The place was clean and the staff was spot on but those are just two components. I hate pigeon holing places after one review(unless it was utterly horrible). The restaurant just didn’t move me on my eating level. I truthfully have fixed better hamburgers at home on my foreman grill. I know it’s one of the few true Austin staples left, however it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I didn’t like the texture of my burger and the fries were mehhhhhhhhh! I’ve never returned nor do I plan to but I wish them continued success.

I love the atmosphere in here. Totally 80’s. TUBULAR! — food is good.too. The curly cheese fries, albeit not seasoned, were pretty good and doused in cheese. Also had a mushroom burger which was huge-normous. Couldn’t even finish the thing, CANYOUBELIEVE? But it was tasty. I’m sure I’ll be back at some point.

The one thing I have to say about this place is that it is pretty cheap. The food isn’t great — I got a bison burger and my girlfriend got the roasted chicken plate, and both were just ok. But if you don’t want to cook, and you’re down to eat just… Whatever, then EZ’s will do that and be pretty EZ on your wallet. Other than that, nothing to really say about it. Wouldn’t go back, but not the worst option in the world.

Cute 50’s diner! We had the Italian sausage pizza cooked in a real wood brick oven! Yummy! I even ate all my crust which is amazing for me! Definitely will be back if I’m in this area of Austin again

We love EZ’s. It is my son’s favorite place to eat in Austin. He says«I love the herbs and seasoning.» The fajita pizza is great. Except for me, every family member gets the the wood fire oven cooked calzone. Gluten free options are available.

We decided to try this place despite the recent negative reviews. Nothing to complain about here! We had the Classic Bison Burger with cheddar cheese on a white bun. Delicious! The burger patty was thick and juicy. The bun was just the right thickness so as not to overpower the patty. The tomato was fresh, not mushy and the shredded lettuce was also fresh. Everything was served hot and fast. We got here right at noon on a Sunday and there was no line, but then people started pouring in. I will be back. I want to try the pizza next time. They have a wood burning pizza oven!

Used to be good. Going downhill. Food was slow to be ready, buns fall apart, toppings fell off my pizza.

Every time I come here I wonder why I don’t come more often. The go to dish here for me is the Rosemary Chicken. Great 60’s style cafeteria feel. I get the ½ chicken all dark plate which came with what appears to be fresh made focaccia bread, rice and steamed vegetables and a small cup of drippings from the chicken. Once stuffed with all this food I still feel like I had a healthy meal. They tell me everything here is made from scratch and I believe it.

I found this restaurant to be a lovely place to go with a child. My 5 year old guest and I had a delicious meal. She drank all of her milk quickly and asked for more and when I walked back to ask the young man, he refilled it for no extra charge. I really appreciated that! Now that I’ve read the reviews raving about the rosemary chicken, I will have to give it a try next time. She enjoyed a child-size Brick Oven pizza and I had a burger and onion rings… delish!

Ok, I love chicken just not chicken on the bone. Guess my momma spoiled me and always had boneless chicken breast. Anyway, have heard about this place’s Rosemary Chicken so made a point to seek it out and give it a try, not realizing that it was not boneless. Well, have to say I was not disappointed though, it was awesome! The chicken had an zing flavor, and fell off the bone, tender, juicy, light crisp/crunch to the broiled/baked type chicken! made me a believer in the olé bone in chicken! The veggies was great too with the rice. Oh, they have about five different types of freshers brewed teas too!

Tried the ½ plate of their Rosemary Chicken. Seems to be their signature dish as it is heavily reviewed and listed at the top of the menu. The service is fast, you walk up to the register, take your order and sit and wait. I went with a friend during the lunch rush. Seems like they keep it well organized and clean. The meal was great, chicken was full of flavor, rice wasn’t overdone or dry, and their bread was delicious, probably the best part of the meal. But that isn’t a knock on their chicken, was just a little surprised by the quality of their bread, which I think they use as their pizza crust. I will be back.

Took the kids and some of their friends the other day. I was good and got a salad. It was mediocre. The kids got burgers — they loved them. Don’t tell them — I stole some of their fries(they weren’t worth it). Of course the kids loved it, but I think you can find better and cheaper in this town. Meh.

This is one of my absolute favorite spots to grab a bite for a number of reasons. The menu is large and crazy varied. Pizzas, pastas, salads in a number of styles from healthy to not so healthy. The pizza is glorious and wood-fired on flatbread. The pasta, my favorite being the basil chicken, is outstanding and comes with the most delicious side of bread. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and never had a bad dish. Adding to the awesomeness is the price. One of the least expensive restaurants in Austin. And it gets even cheaper if you’re a student. Flash them your student ID for another $ 2 off your order. My only tip to anyone reading this who may my have been before is it can be a bit loud and crowded during the normal kid dining hours. But do not fear as I’ve found the families with kids largely dine indoors, leaving the outdoor seating a nice Santiago even during busy times. You absolutely cannot go wrong here. Great place for healthy, delicious comfort food at amazing prices!

Showed the waitress my $ 3 off discount code from Brick Oven & Grill for checking in on Unilocal.I should have known something wasn’t right when she looked at me cray cray. It was the wrong place according to her. To my defense… I did say, «well, your coke machine did say Brick Oven Grill on it.» I got a good laugh about it. unfortunately, I did not get the discount. Boo I stopped by on a whim in route to the hospital to visit a friend. I wanted to do a good deed and take them dinner. Saw burgers and a lot of parking. They had quite a menu. It took me too long to choose something b/c everything sounded good. We settled for to-go burgers and salad. The burgers were pretty darn good. They curly fries were okay and the salad(one with blueberries and artichoke) was my least favorite. Could have been a little more filling for $ 8. I definitely think burgers is their speciality. Maybe cut off the not so popular items off the menu to simplify things a bit. Still think I was at the right place on my check-in.

Alas, our food was tepid when we got it. I had chicken alfredo & my friend burger and sweet potato fries. The flavor was okay. Nothing great. But what really got my goat was the tip jar where you ordered! Tip for what having to stand while giving my order and having to pick it up myself? They couldn’t even be bothered to bring it to the table. The owner needs to pay their workers better instead of expecting their customers to do it. And while the price aren’t exorbitant its enough to pay their people.
