I’ve been going to Dr. Eady for a number of years and feel I’m getting good care and good value for my time and money. Her long time medical assistant, Jennifer, is effective and pleasant. Both of them come across as genuine people and treat me the same way. I’m not a fan of extremes like«try this new drug!» or «it’s the way my grampa did it so it’s good enuf fer u». That is not Dr. Eady’s approach. Her style is more centrist and without ego getting in the way of accurate diagnosis and treatment. I have actually had other licensed physicians tell me that testing for verification isn’t necessary since«I’ve seen it a thousands times». Ironically, as an engineer, I’ve seen that kind of attitude«a thousand times» and it has often ended in problems. It doesn’t take much Googling to see that many symptoms can be from an array of conditions that require different treatments and although one or two causes may be the source 95% of the time who wants to waste time on an ineffective treatment if you are in the 5%? In the end it was a happy accident that Dr. Eady became my physician.

I’ve been going to dr. eady for almost my entire life and she is overall a wonderful doctor. The two things that did concerned me was her nurse is very rude and when I was 17 she basically told me I don’t have a say and was useless in decision making on if I should get this optional shot or not. Doctors should not force you into doing something especially when it just makes them a profit.

I want to start by saying that a few years ago I had a GREAT doctor that was helping me with my condition that unfortunately reached the age to retire. I have not been able to find another general doctor I felt was even half as skilled but I don’t just complain about every doctor. My reviews at the time of this writing have been negative but they are the truth whether anyone giving 5 star ratings wants to believe it or not. I went to this doctor because of positive reviews I had read. Especially because of noted compassion and helping 2 people in similar situations as I was in. I unfortunately did not receive this type of treatment. I was told she could not help me with the exact issue another positive review said she helped them with. She actually made the visit extremely stressful to the point that I was worse off when I left than when I arrived. I am not happy about being charged money to be talked down to attempting to make me feel guilty and then not helping me. She turned out to be distrustful with a big ego and a need to «flex». She did not ask enough questions and did not give me the opportunity to give her important information. She displayed poor knowledge and bedside manner. She seemed more worried about putting me in my place for not being her perfect patient and repeatedly telling me she was not going to do something that I never once requested or even hinted at. It was so bizzare I still don’t know what to make of it. Yes she asked me some questions but what is the use if she is going to contact a doctor that failed me in the past to do her work for her? This is how doctors are supposed to operate… «I have listened to your explanation of your condition, let me just call another ineffective doctor you have tried to tell me how to proceed.»

My family has been seeing Dr. Eady for ten years now. She has an excellent way with people, is very informative, and is always willing to answer your questions. We have never felt she was in a rush; once she is in the room with you she acts as if she has all the time in the world to deal with your needs. In our experience she has been reluctant to leap to medication if the diagnosis was unclear. In that case she has allowed us to make the call for more treatment/tests or to wait and see what happens. We appreciate her willingness to trust us. Sometimes things have improved without meds, but when they don’t improve all we have to do is call in and a prescription is sent to our drugstore. She is willing to allow you to try«natural» remedies as long as there is no indication that it is harmful. And she always seems to have read up on the remedy in order to know if it shows any sign of being useful or harmful. We are glad to have been able to work with her. She has recently closed her individual practice on HWY620 and joined Northwest Diagnostic in Cedar Park. We haven’t had to see her since the change, but I hope the new place will allow her to continue to work the way she has the last ten years.
