I try to shop local, and when I saw Dean’s website, I thought I’d give hime a try. That’s where it got confusing – when I called, I got Pros On Demand. It seems that Deans is also , and also Pros On Demand. I called on Monday, to set up a Wednesday appt. The dispatcher wanted to set something up for Monday afternoon. So I called back first thing(9 am) Wednesday morning. A dispatcher took my information and said I was booked for a morning appt, that someone would call me to confirm exact time. No call back. At 11:54 I called and asked what was happening, and the dispatcher told me he had someone available, and he’d have them call me, and he’d call me back. Still no call back. Finally, at 12:55, the locksmith called and said he’d be there in about 20 minutes. I had asked on the first call about charges, and had been told that it would be $ 20 per lock plus parts for rekey. The locksmith who came out said it would be $ 25 per lock labor, plus $ 35 parts, and a $ 20 service charge. He had a surly attitude and was hard to understand. I told him that was not what I was told on the phone and that he could leave; I would call Cothron’s. He went to his car, and returned a few minutes later, saying«Dean» wanted to talk to me. «Dean» stated that he would match Cothron’s price. I explained that the problem was not the price, it was how he did business and handed the phone back to the locksmith. Between the dispatch malfunctions and the attitude of the locksmith, not to mention the changing charges, I don’t plan to give Dean any more of my business.
