I’ve been going to Crystal cleaners for a little over a year. I drop off work clothes every week. The location is close to my apartment and on my way to work. The lady behind the counter I pleasant enough and pulls my clothes when she sees my car pull up! My clothes are always starched well and look great. Last year I took a coat to have a button sewn back on and I must say I could have done it better myself. I decided to leave the seamstress work to my mom who is an expert! I recommend Crystal cleaners for laundering services only and if it’s for men’s shirts and slacks go on Tuesday because there’s a special!

I witnessed a miracle today! Here is the story. I want to preface that I do not give many 1 star reviews but this one is warranted. I have been going to Crystal Cleaners for years now. I have not really had that many issues but recently they have screwed up too many things for me to ignore. A couple of months ago I brought in a pair of pants for the hem to be taken down. A few days later I picked them up and the hem was in the middle of my calf. I took them back to be repaired but they were ruined. No apology. A few weeks later I took in some khaki pants to be dry cleaned. Picked them up and it was obvious they were washed and shrunk two inches. Ruined! One week later I go to pick up clothes and the lady working there asked me to make sure everything she had for me was mine. What? I looked and notice that three of the shirts were not mine. She retrieved someone elses clothes and there were some of my items. No apology again. The last time I went there I noticed that I was missing two DKNY shirts. I know this because I have(had) three of the same kind and my shirts go in my dry cleaning basket and to Crystal Cleaners and they were not at my house. I called to complain and all of a sudden she conveniently could not speak English. What? I have been coming here for years. This is where the miracle happened. I brought a Spanish speaking friend of mine from work to try to get an explanation. When we get there my friend confronts her in Spanish and she starts talking English back to us. MIRACLE! She explained that it was pretty much my fault for not checking and that the building where the clothes are taken is just so large that they have not had time to look! No apology, no emotion nothing. She did state that she would call me if they were able to find them. Yeah right?!

all i have to say is that one of my DRY Clean only dresses came back with what they called ‘water marks’ all over it and when they tried to re-clean it it came back with brown stains all over it. They wouldn’t give me my money back, not even for the cleaning, let alone the dress they ruined. All they would do was try to clean it again and there’s no way they are ever touching anything i own again so i guess i’m just out the money.

I needed to get some zippers fixed in a few skirts and randomly came across this place. For some reason people tend to ignore me(read previous reviews) and I don’t get it. Well when I walked in the door the girl made it clear that I was taking her away from posting her lastest status on Facebook and took her sweet time to acknowledge me. I asked her a simple question about price and after 5 minutes of her not being able to give me a simple answer I walked out. Won’t be going back here.

i hate that you must give every review at least one star… HATEIT! i purchased some new work threads and being the shorty that i am, i must have my pants hemmed. because i live north and work south i chose to select a place for alterations near work so i would be able to pick up and drop off during work hours. i picked the closes place, crystal cleaners. big. huge mistake. never choose things of this nature based on proximity. first, the place is a dive! but i am one who always looks past that because sometimes the best things out there are not the prettiest. second, and the bells should have rung in my head, for being a dry cleaners… there wasn’t many racks of clothes waiting to be picked up. i shrugged that off because of it’s location. and third, when i asked the guy if they had worked with material similar to the pants i was having altered and he didn’t even look at my clothes, he just said ‘sure.’ i should have picked up my stuff and walked out. intuition people… INTUITION! i took in three pairs of pants and picked up three pairs of cropped pants! and yes i did try them on with the right shoes and the guy even pinned them… i am dumbfounded by what happened in between those 24 hours. word to fellow Unilocalers. do not go here, bottom line. :(
