My wife and I did some early spring cleaning and found a few designer clothes that we were looking to get rid of. We decided to check out this Clothes Mentor to see if we could resell them. Let me save you the trouble, find another place if you are ever in the same position. The management is shady and does not know how to treat customers. If you’re curious to know why, here’s the full story… We arrived at 2:30 on Saturday where one of the store’s staff greeted us. We explained that we were interested in selling some used clothes. She had us hand over the clothes, made us sign an agreement, and asked her manager when the evaluation would be completed. He said around 5:30pm. Wait, three hours to evaluate clothes? This seemed odd considering we only had about 6 items, there were not any customers in the store at the time, and it didn’t seem like the manager was doing another eval at the time. The woman behind the counter took our number and said that they would text us when they completed the eval. We took this time as an opportunity to do some shopping around the area. A few hours passed, then came 5:30… then 6:00… finally 6:15 and we still hadn’t heard anything. We decided we would try to call their listed phone number… strangely enough the number was not in service. At this point we were getting concerned. We decided to stop by the store before they closed at 8:00pm. We arrived at 6:45pm, walked up to the front door… the door was locked. Then we took a look inside… there was no one in sight… and no sign posted saying that they were closed. We looked at the store hours. The store was supposed to close at 8:00pm on Saturday. Not only did they neglect to contact us about the status of the eval, they didn’t even call us to mention that they would be unexpectedly closing early. To top this all off, we had no way of contacting them! They had essentially taken our clothes hostage. As you might imagine we were getting frustrated. At this point we essentially decided that this place wasn’t a good place to do business and decided that we would take our clothes elsewhere to attempt to resell… but first we had to get them back. Here’s where the real fun begins. I walked back to the car, opened the door, and sat in the driver seat. When I was starting the car, I noticed someone walking between the aisles. I ran back up to the front door and tried knocking on the glass to see if we could get their attention. After about 3 minutes of standing in the cold, he finally noticed me and my wife(it was pretty obvious he was trying to ignore us) and came to open the door. I asked him«Hey, when do you guys close today», he responded«Oh, we closed at 6pm». I pointed to the sign next to him stating that it said they were open until 8:00pm. He snapped back stating«Well I can close the store early when three people call in sick!». At this point the tension was rising. I responded«We’d like to get our clothes back, we won’t be doing business with you». I could sense he was getting angry. He slid the door partially shut and started walking back to the register. Meanwhile, a woman with her teenage daughter had pulled into the store’s driveway and walked towards the entrance. My wife and I called out to the woman explaining that the business was closed and, due to our disgust with the manager, she ought to take her business somewhere else. Suddenly, the door slammed open, standing there was an enraged manager. He yelled«Don’t talk to my potential customers, a**hole, or I will have you arrested for soliciting. You got that?!» followed by a vibrant glare of disgust directed my way. I responded sternly«the only reason I’m still here is because I’m waiting on you to get my clothes». As I responded, the woman shooed her daughter back into the car, rolled down the window exclaiming to my wife and I «thanks, I’ve seen all I need to» and sped off. At this point I was becoming scared for me and my wife’s safety. I just wanted to get our clothes and leave. The manager whipped the door shut, locked us out, and walked behind the cash register. He returned with a bag of clothes… which we exclaimed were the wrong clothes(of course!). Finally after some stumbling behind the register, he retrieved the proper clothes, handed them to me through the door. I took them, threw them into our trunk, and never looked back. After 5 minutes with this guy, I can start to see why those three people«called in sick». I feel bad for anyone that has him as a boss, considering the staff were genuinely nice people. Save your time and money; find another store that will actually treat you with respect.

So went in this morning and was not gretted me and my family walked in so you couldn’t of possibly missed us! As someone qas at the very first register walking when you walk in and didn’t even bother to look up rude. The pricing seems a bit high for the condition of the items they have. I did however find one items that I did purchase however everything else was subpar I would just go over to Nordstrom Rack and buy something brand new for the same price as this location and possibly cheaper and get amazing customer service so I’m not to sure that I will be back! It was a real bummer because I love shopping and when I like a place I shop it regularly.

To save yourself time make sure you go online to their website for the list of brands they buy, otherwise your wasting your time. It’s easy to use and in alphabetical order. This location is currently only buying as they stock their store but they let you browse their selection. For the past 3 to 4 weeks I have been coming by about twice a week with 2 laundry baskets full each time. I honestly walk out with a few items left in 1 basket. I only put the brands they buy in the baskets. They go up to a size 26 and the owner said she is a tad bit more lenient on the plus size brands so I have been adding a few Torrid and Avenue in there. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer to help you carry your items back to your car. I usually decline since they have automatic sliding doors. In the past week they have become more known so sometimes the wait to get a text for your offer takes 2 to 4 hours. But it is worth it. Truly! Otherwise I wouldn’t be selling there so much. And they carry true Plus Size! This is a franchise owned business so it has a differnt owner and staff than the rude cedar park location. Their POS system allows them to enter the brand and size into the computer and get a generated 30% offer. When you come to collect on your offer they give you a print out reciept that shows exactly what they bought, how many items total, and your offer. I love that because I use it to compare my trips and to get the next load ready.(Also, fun fact. The POS also prints out the generated tags for those items once you collect so items aren’t being priced by differnt people. This is great.) I can’t wait till I can buy. This location is triple the size of the other location. I have seen clothes I would like in my size, designer purses, and cute boots in my size. Great prices too.
