I feel bad to write this review. I feel bad for the people who work there because it is not their fault that their food is terrible. The service was not bad but the food is one of the worst things that I have ever eaten, seriously! I know it is a fast food place, I know I shouldn’t be expecting gourmet food, and believe me, I was not. But I was expecting to have something at least edible. The(un)comfort food tastes like reheated frozen cardboard at best!

Some of the food was okay. We liked the chicken, sweet potato casserole(very sweet, though) and the mac and cheese. Other things tasted processed. The place was dirty even though we got there when it opened and there was a strange vibe, like things at this location are just done strangely and the workers don’t seem to want to be there. Portion sizes seemed kind of small. The apple pie we got was half frozen. Just a strange place. We won’t be coming back to this location.

I’ve only been to Boston Market one other time back home in California and there is no consistency between there and here. I ordered a half rack of ribs with loaded mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The person who took my order was not friendly at all and shouldn’t be in customer service. When my played was brought to my table, it looked like a TV dinner and the half rack of ribs looked like a child size portion. I was hungry so I started to eat when the person said«if that isn’t enough ribs we can bring you more, they are almost done cooking». Wouldn’t it make more sense to just bring the plate when the ribs are done cooking and it is actually a half rack? The Mac n cheese was cold in spots and warm in others and the potatoes were barely warm. I won’t be back to this one, if I wasn’t so tired I would have Gone for a drive and looked for something better.

Decent Quality. Decent Price. Fast Service. I’ have never had a bad experience eating here. I recommend their chicken pot pie, it is the best I’ve ever had. Even better than the rare sighting of such a dish at upscale restaurants. Other entrees are decent too. The real value in this place is a healthier alternative to fast food such as Burger King or McDonalds.

Just got done eating a tasty chicken pot pie from Boston Market. There’s now only 1 location in Austin on 183 and I think Braker. It looks like some of the reviews(some bad ones) were written from way back when the location by Seton Hosp was around. I’ve never gotten a bad meal from BM. I don’t live near it, but on the occassion I’m in the area I’ll go out of my way to stop by and get something to bring home for dinner. The food is good. Is it health food? Nope. Is it the type of food you wanted when you walked in there? Yup. I don’t think it’s fair to give a place a 2 star ratinig because it’s home style comfort food, and you had the choice to go in there or not. The staff is friendly. If you eat there your meal comes on real plates with real silverware. Nice. If you find the food too pricy, just go online and print out a coupon. You can always find one if you google. Plus, as someone else mentioned, on your receipt is a BOGO offer for that coming Saturday. If you live nearby it’s a good deal. As far as giving 2 stars because the cashier didn’t say much, well, excuse me. I guess that can ruin your whole night. Same for the person who ended up at home with the wrong order. He himself admitted he should have checked the bag. He probably got the order of the person behind him. Hey, it happens. Going out to get something to eat doesn’t mean you turn your brain off. I like Boston market for the occassional meal. Always have. Keep up the good work. I wish another location in Central or South Austin would open.

Why 4 stars? 1) Friendly customer service. Although busy, both manager & cashier Amber were friendly today when I went in. 2) Accurate and fast– I ordered online for pickup & it was ready when I got there & food was fresh & hot 3) Restaurant was clean & food-serving area looked clean. 4) Food is good & can be relatively healthy, esp. for drive-through/fast food service. I liked all the 6 sides that I got but my favorites are below. Favorites: Meatloaf– fatty but tasty Corn bread– sweet & buttery Macaroni & cheese– one of the best Squash casserole– if you like the corn bread, you’ll like this. It’s on the sweet side Vegetable stuffing– also on the sweet side which I like… also nice to get stuffing when you want it & not have to wait until Thanksgiving to get it What could be better: Can be a bit pricey for fast food depending on what you get $ 7 – 15. Didn’t give me utensils with my carry-out order.

The food was better than the customer service. I came to this location for the first time. I walked to the counter, and the cashier did not speak at all. There was a drive thru, so I thought maybe I would get better service there. Boy, was I wrong. The same person ended up taking my order. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day or what, but his personality was invisible.

Food is always good. Manager was super friendly and generous with the butter and honey. Wish there was more of these in Austin.

Want to say that have been ordering business lunch catering for a few months now and that our sales and service guys love it. The delivery is always on time and Bill, the guy delivering it was really helpful setting up in different area of our showroom this last time. It’s great that we can get really tasty food for our entire staff. Only complaint is that sometimes the sales staff doesn’t get enough after the service guys serve up– But Bill even helped us with that by offering to stay and serve next time so that everybody gets a full plate of chicken and meatloaf, whether first or last in line– So service is as good as the food!

My absolute favorite is the delicious rotisserie chicken. The mashed potatoes are equally great — fresh-made every few hours from real potatoes. My food always arrives«piping hot,» served on a large plate with a real knife & fork. All for under $ 9! The staff even comes over and checks to make sure everything is good. The mgr Robert runs a tight ship(I was surprised to read several negative comments from 2013 – I guess they fixed it). On Saturdays they offer«buy-one-get-one-free» — which equals $ 5 per meal! An unbelievable value!

I bought the turkey meal that was suppose to feed 8 – 10 adults but it was more 8 – 10 kids. Meager amount of gravy compared to the turkey, not even half full from the container they gave me. I’m very disappointed and won’t recommend to anyone who wants to purchase the turkey meal for Thanksgiving…

I am surprised this place has gotten some not so great reviews but I think I can understand. It seems that every time I come there to get some food the staff had changed and usually I like to go every 2 weeks, so yes I believe there is a high turn over rate, but I believe it cannot be helped. The staff is usually nice and smiling and gets the order correctly. About the food, I have to say that I like it. I usually come in a get dark chicken and it taste wonderful along with macaroni and mashed potatoes usually.(Carb Overload) Anyways the corn bread is also very awesome. The right about of soft and the right amount of sweet. Now I can say that I have tried the ribs and do not much care for them. What really upset me though and the reason I bumped them down to 2 stars from 5 is because of The special offer for Military and Federal employees deal I had received by email where it states Purchase any Family meal and we’ll give you a whole rotisserie chicken. This was from 10⁄6 to10/13. I came to the restaurant with my wife and ordered a family meal during that time frame and I did not get what was advertised so I am still pretty upset about that. Don’t advertise things if you don’t plan on upholding your end of the bargain.

Oh wow… What has happened to the Boston Market that I remember? I haven’t had them in 4 years and I wish I wouldn’t have today. Everything tastes and looked canned, old, dried out, and/or preserved. My sides were put on my husband’s plate and vice versa. They ran out of dark meat chicken at lunch on Sunday, but quickly okayed a substitute of all white with us. The turkey was not a roasted turkey. It was prefab molded ‘turkey’ and quite tough and dry. The restaurant was humid, warm, and stuffy. Duct tape over the holes in the booth seats rounded out the atmosphere. Yuck. The employees were nice and working hard to serve their customers. That’s the only perk.

I’ve long been a fan of Boston Market since I’ve lived in other cities. And even when I moved to Austin, I’ve had this BM cater turkey dinners for Thanksgivings and Easters with no complaints. But after I moved away from this NW Austin hood a couple months ago, I returned for a fast, tasty meal. First of all — no surprise — none of the staff looked familiar to me. I suspect all fast food places have high turnaround but it was odd that there wasn’t a single familiar face on my usual Sunday night jaunt. Secondly, when I ordered the order-taker, Shanita, mistook my order. I had asked for Garlicky new potatoes. She thought I asked for Garlicky Lemon spinach. Aside from the first word, not even close right? Well, Shanita decided to act like I had committed a war crime, snapping, «That’s what you said! That’s what you said!» Fine, I sit down and when my order is ready, the potatoes were so raw, I thought I was crunching down on an apple. The chicken was chopped accidentally into fragments — maybe Michael Myers is their butcher — so I asked for the manager. A few minutes of waiting later(it was empty btw), Robert shows up and has one of those swarmy faces as if he couldn’t believe he had to talk to a customer. When I explained the raw food, the incorrect portion, he did his manager 101 thing and offered me a coupon for the NEXT time I’m there. I told him he had to fix the plate I had in front of him, but he ran off to get me his business card. When he returned, I insisted that he fix the plate. He took my plate and came back with some undercooked chicken, and cold sides. I’ve always wondered why Boston Market doesn’t expand in Austin. But if they can’t get control of one location, I’m not surprised the growth — like the staff attitude here — is stunted. If you want great roast chicken, so far, my recommendation goes to Pollo Inka on Wells Branch. Great service and they are family-run. Until Boston Market gets some standards back, I’m not heading back.

Yah, this Boston Market doesn’t seem to be on par with a few other of the Boston Markets I’ve been to — mainly in Colorado. My husband and I went through the drive through the other night for dinner and I was really, really unimpressed with my carver sandwich. Lots of bread, lots of sauce, very little chicken — two small pieces, in fact. I could swear that usually at Boston Market, the sandwich is so big, I generally only eat half. This was not the case the other evening… the sandwich had nothing to it! I got a side of mashed potatoes and they tasted«off» for some reason, so I only took a few bites of those and threw the rest of everything out… pretty shameful. In addition, a few months ago my husband told me that he went there for lunch and they were *out of chicken*! How on earth could it possibly be, that a chicken joint could be out of chicken… seriously. Anyways…I’m probably not going to be going back to Boston Market for a long time.

One of the great injustices of modern time is people criticizing Boston Market(looking at you, The Onion). Okay, so maybe the chickens are coated in some unknown sauce that was developed during Iran’s quest for«energy independence.» Get out of here with your health inspections, there are plenty of places that serve Uranium free broccoli in Austin. What Boston Market offers is flavor. I don’t know what goes into their food, but my taste buds know their chicken is the fast food equivalent of filet mignon coated in black caviar. Except better tasting. When you want a low priced hearty lunch, you can’t beat a half chicken with some mac and cheese and mashed potatoes from here. I would gladly replace my kitchen with one of these places if I could. And this specific location is run like a textbook example of how to run a fast food franchise. When I came in here, it was like stepping into an alternate universe — good service, lots of people actually working, common courtesy, ITWASEVENCLEAN. All this in a fast food joint. It was almost too much to take in. If I still lived in Austin, I’d start bringing dates here and pretending it was a new Wolfgang pucks. Long story short — I love Boston Market. The chicken and mashed potatoes taste like ambrosia, and this location works like it’s run by the guy from Hell’s Kitchen.

Worst drive thru service I’ve seen! If they were timed like most other places, they would fail. Several times I’ve been stuck in the drive-thru for 10 minutes or more. I like the chicken here but they really need to work on their customer service.

I dunno what it is about this place. It’s not particularly *great*, but sometimes, you just want it. I enjoy their chicken, AND meatloaf, but really think some of their sides would be better left off the plate. ESPECIALLY the squash casserole — it tastes weirdly orange-y, and is completely runny. I do recommend the stuffing. In fact, if carbs weren’t an issue, id just eat 8 plates of stuffing if i came in here. Mmmmm… I’d also stay away from the mac and cheese(Watery), but anything with potatoes is pretty solid.
