Artisan installed our oiled hardwood floors 7 years ago and they were beautiful for a year or so but started to show water spots and were hard to maintain. We hired them to come out and treat the spots and buff everything up, but the guy who came out spent a couple of hours buffing and left without telling me so I couldn’t point out areas he missed. It was disappointing. I bought a small buffer and worked on the floors myself without much success so recently I decided to give them another try and was very pleased with the results. Travis came out, took a look at the problem areas and suggested we try a different product that has helped tremendously with the water spotting problems. He worked on all the floors and stairs on 3 levels and probably spent about 10 – 12 hours over two days. I really appreciate the time and care that he took to make sure we were happy with the results. I will definitely call them again if needed and ask for Travis.

Have left two messages and an email and they won’t bother to contact back. I have used them in the past for multiple clients but that is ending now. Try calling people back, called customer service. You are now blacklisted. And when I did use them, they were ok but very overpriced. These guys think because they work in some of the high end homes that they are above everyone else. Hey– you’re wrong.

Not again! We hired them to oil our floors, was the highest bid by quite a bit, but assumed that this would result in higher quality. We ended up paying over $ 300 an hour to have a guy come out and buff the floors after pouring some oil on them. Holy cow! And when we went back to them and said that their original estimate was that they would spend 2 days doing the job, which was over in 5 hours, their answer was«you signed the contract, it’s non negotiable». Shop around, plenty of better, cheaper alternatives out there who are willing to be reasonable.

i hired artisan to sand and refinish the hardwoods in my 1945 home. Despite being the highest bid, i decided to go with them in part because they assured me the floors would look like new, which is something none of the other bids claimed. It is my fault for believing anyone can make 65 yr old floors look like new. When I returned, from vacation, the floors looked better than they had before but not like I imagined for the price or the claims made by artisan. There was a fair amount of bubbling in the poly and the stain had taken VERY unevenly in places. I was told this was due to nature of the floor although i am inclined to believe this was a result of the stainer trying to get done quickly and not paying attention to detail since the stain didn’t take evenly on the same slats. Hands down, my biggest problem was that the workers peed all over my toilet seat and left the place looking like a war zone! They left all the old shoe molding in my trash can and set the can outside. they also filled my garbage can to the point of overflowing with their trash and when that was full, they threw their stain cans in my recycle bin until that was full! In artisans defense, the owner put another coat of poly on and addressed my concerns by cleaning the place up. But I had to complain about it for that to happen and i am still left with floors that look like they had some hack stain them. I thought the owners were very accomodating but cant say the same about those they hire. If artisan and another hardwood flooring company are equal in your mind, go with the other one.
