The gelato was so creamy and good. I had the Old Fashioned Chocolate and it was one of the best ones I have ever tried. The texture and flavor was spot-on, and even though it is on the pricier side, I would definitely come back again to try some other flavors. The waffle cone itself though was just normal; nothing spectacular about it. Overall, it was a very good experience. I can see why they have won the Florence Gelato award!

I have never received anything except for STELLAR customer service from this location, which makes it one of my favorites. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, as is expected from all Amy’s. My cousin and her 4 year old son live in Gonzales, and we love to meet here for ice cream and playtime on the playground. They are always so nice to him! Amy’s is amazing; the South Park Meadows staff are fabulous.

Just experienced the WORST service EVER at an Amy’s Ice Cream or anywhere in Austin for that matter. Five high school-aged kids all standing around, none wanting to work. One ambivalent kid behind the counter working and four kids pretending to clean(some outside just hanging out.) When I had to finally ask someone to help us(there was a line) I got a curt«I’ll go find someone.» And they STILL all stood around. No greeting when we walked in, no «we’ll be right with you», absolutely nothing. We walked out but not before I announced to the entire store that we had just experienced the WORST service ever. And even after my announcement, no apology, no nothing. This is a neighborhood establishment where people who live nearby(myself and my family) would love to visit, but not until they clean house and get a staff that is friendly, accountable and mature.

We went to our favorite Amy’s at Southpark after a horrid dinner at a nearby steakhouse Saturday night to celebrate events with my kidlets. Always yummy. Always friendly. Love the rotating & new flavors, almost as much as my old favorites! New fave? Zilker Mint Chip. But someone changed the Mexican Vanilla!!! What happened? It was bad enough I threw away my ice cream! :-O(blasphemy, I know) the Mexican Vanilla was so strong it tasted like the whole bottle got dumped in there. I chalked it up to coincidence or maybe my tastebuds were being wacky. Went to dinner tonight at a local TexMex spot & got sopapillas with Amy’s Mexican Vanilla &it was still off. Sad. :(no worries I’ll be back again and soon. ;) I’ll just have to get coffee with my oreos & Belgian chocolate *grin* oh darn!

Very delicious ice cream, to be local. The price is good for a weekend treat. I highly recommend pumpkin spice ice cream when in season.

Best service ever. Bought my dog in and was so glad that I did! The staffs were some of the nicest people ever. The boy that helped me was so nice and even gave me a free tiny cup of just cream for my dog! My dog of course enjoyed it. Not only that I got it for free, he gave me an Amy’s ice cream $ 5 coupon book as well. It was awesome! I got Mexican vanilla and it was really good as usual like every other Amy’s ice cream that I’ve been into. The thing that made this Amy’s ice cream so SPECIAL is the great service. It’s so dog friendly. I recommend everyone that has a dog go in there and get their dog some just cream! Lol definitely coming back!

I have gone to Amy’s once every few months for the past five years. The staff are always friendly and I have yet to get something there that was not yummy. I love getting to pick my crush in’s and their prices are reasonable. A visit to Amy’s is a must do for anyone visiting Austin!

Best ice cream ever… Which is saying a lot in the land of blue bell. It says a lot when you order brownie ice cream, and you can actually taste the delicious homemade brownie in every bite. The guiness chocalate, and mexican vanilla are my other favorites. I only wish the price was just a tad lower, but at the same time I can completely understand. You do get what you pay for. At the end of the day I’m happy to spend my money there, and the employees are very nice about all the little ice cream request you make on your order.

I love Amy’s. I’ve been a fan for 30+ years and still think it’s delicious. The consistency is creamy, but not too thick ie: Marble Slab. I’m not a ‘crush-in’s’ fan, instead I get a sprinkle of something on top.(Insider tip: You get more ice cream if you choose this. They’ll serve you up the bowl instead of the paper cup.) I personally love the good ‘ol stand by’s: Belgian Chocolate, White Chocolate, and Cream?(Cannot remember the full name of that one). I get the trifecta, something on top depending on my mood and then snack on it and freeze it as I go. Just press a layer of Saran Wrap on it before freezing and it’s great the next time(s).(This bowl I can snack on for about a week). The consistency is still creamy, plus no freezer burn. Love Amy’s. She’s a cool person if you ever get the chance to meet the name sake!(Her name is really Amy :))

Decent ice cream, but JAMMED on a Friday night to the point that the line was going outside. At times, customers couldn’t even stand inside due to the small entrance space. One of the girls working was attentive and properly asked everyone to move in. The prices are a bit silly if you ask me, but hey, it’s Amy’s ice cream. The oh-so-famous Mexican vanilla with butterfinger crushings was my choice after a movie nearby. I looked on the Amy’s online ice cream board for the flavors that this location was serving that day and my girlfriend saw her anticipated Bahama Mama. Upon entry, she reconfirmed that she wanted to try it for her first time. Andddddddddd they didn’t have it. Even though their website showed different for that day. A disappointment and a new plain choice of Just vanilla with butterfinger crushings in a large waffle cone suited her well. I’ve always enjoyed the neat crafty techniques the employees use to scoop and batter up the ice cream«dough». It makes the experience interesting. I’ve also got to say that the interior of all locations I’ve gone to are freakin’ awesome! Keep up the good work Amy!

The staff there was amazing! It was our first time there, and my girlfriend was really wanting to try them out. We got there a couple minutes before they closed and the staff explained all their options and didn’t rush us. She even gave us coupons for free toppings at our next visit cause that was our first time. GREATICECREAMTOO!

It’s my first time here and not happy. The staff was very nice. I ordered the«free willy» and they over salted it with the sea salt where as I couldn’t even eat it. I happen to get here after movies and they were closed already and couldn’t return. In the future I will never order an ice cream were salt is added…

I love ice cream and i don’t care that its winter and 45 degrees. My sister raved about this place and as we were in Target nearby i Said lets go! She told me about he Mexican vanilla, so vanilla with cinnamon? I’m down to try it as i love cinnamon, I tried just a little sample and honestly it could be because it was such a small taste but it did not have much flavor besides plain vanilla. I like that they have such interesting and creative flavors, I ended up getting strawberry fields forever– sweet cream ice cream, strawberries, and white cake pieces. It was rich and creamy. Delicious. Friendly service. I hope to go back and try something else as well.

This place is awesome! Who else would have Big Red or chocolate french fry ice cream(can’t remember the actual name)! I had the mexican vanilla in a waffle cone with the pecan praline topping. Omg, so good. I’m craving another one right now now. The ice cream was rich and creamy with a hint of spice, perhaps cinnamon or nutmeg. The pecan praline was hot and ooey oogey and while it was a bit of a mess to eat, it was so worth it. Amy’s always has such unique flavors. It’s hard deciding on what to order! Guess I’ll just have to keep going back to figure out which is my favorite.

Who says ice cream can’t be tasty in the winter?! Witty ice cream names and creative flavors! I love Amy’s Ice Cream. We got the cop stop today which is coffee ice cream mixed with Ken’s donuts! Ahhhh deliciousness in one bite. Make sure you get on top of that because flavors are not always the same!

Always having times that be good in this yar establishment. Argh! Blueberry Habanero was good at first. Was bad after I became ill from previous culinary adventures. Free crushings in that thar creamed ice of merriment, for pondering and screeching a correct answer the quote of the tide? Shiver me shorts! Mmm
