I had the whole shooting match! When I pulled up the smoker was running at full tilt. So many choices. Everything was exactly as described. The sweet tea would make any Virginian proud.

Really nice smoky flavor and great sauce. Hefty serving of brisket with the sandwich. Meat was moist unlike complaints about the other location. *shrug Cons: — Brisket sandwich was a little less than warm around the edges. — I only had a sandwich. Did not order anything else so cant speak to the rest of the menu.

*2/15/13 edit at the bottom* Wow. I stopped here with my girlfriend while walking to Sno Beach and wanted to give it a try. I am a huge fan of both brisket and sausage, and had to try this lonely trailer behind Sno Beach’s massive line. It was awful. Here was the owner’s response: «Hi, I would just like to correct a couple things from your review about my trailer. 1. Moist brisket is fatty so yes it does look different compared to lean but has more flavors hence the reason we give you an option. 2. We gladly represent where we get our sausage(hudsons) since they are the best in Austin. 3. Your boyfriend signed for his credit card so it was not a random extra charge since he did see it before signing for the transaction. And lastly the extra charge is sales tax. So the your government not us. I will gladly refund your boyfriend his money for the sausage link and I will even include the .25 sales tax!!! — Stephanie Vanstone» Well, I wasn’t going to write a review because I just plain felt bad. I felt pity for Adoo’s lack of customers. For their lack of Unilocal reviews. For writing a review in my normal fashion that would probably hamstring Adoo’s potential Unilocal customer base. BUTWOW. Because of Stephanie’s incredibly rude and demeaning message, I’ll go ahead and write that review as a response to her message. 1. You can’t «correct» a customer’s opinion. It’s probably better to keep your anger to yourself and not lash out at a customer. 2. Your«moist» brisket was bad. I won’t say horrible, because I’m being honest, but I would never get it again. DRY. FLAVORLESS. The worst part was the way the brisket looked — like it was a piece of solid matte brown plastic. 3. The boudin sausage w/jalapeño cheese… holy hell. I had never had a sausage that bad. It was tough and straight up tasted foul; I couldn’t put my finger on it, but even the customers at Sno Beach could see my discomfort in eating any more of it. I am a huge sausage fan and have actually never not enjoyed one until yours. I don’t care if Hudsons makes sausage fit for the Pope — this one was fit for the trash can. 4. You are CORRECT about the tax, and I APOLOGIZE about the $ 0.25 charge complaint. But please, keep the $ 3.25. I am not hurting. Thank you, Stephanie, for writing such an incredibly rude message — you sure earned back our business! I will be sure to avoid your trailer from now on instead of giving y’all a 2nd chance — phew! P. S. To the Unilocalers reading this, the 16 flagged reviews for Adoo are all most likely fraudulent except for another 1 star review complaining about the same thing I am. **2/15/13EDIT** I got a nice passive aggressive Unilocal Compliment from a «Stephanie V.» I wonder who it is? «You’re funny wow.» Stephanie, your actions as a bitter business owner are a poor reflection of character and business ethic. It shows your unwillingness to accept criticism(why sign up for Unilocal?), and extremely poor customer service skills. It’s no wonder you had to create your own fraudulent reviews, check-ins, and tips. If the owner of Adoo continues to lash out at her customers, she should do it somewhere other than a media outlet. Unilocal is a service for the betterment of the community, and Adoo’s BBQ’s management clearly has no interest in doing so.

0 stars Brisket looked like wet dog food, minus the wet. It was rubbery and dry. Jalapeño sausage was awful… could be a bad batch but I’m too scared to try again. Oh and thank goodness for Sno Beach because I desperately needed to wash the bad taste out of my mouth. UPDATE! My boyfriend just checked his bank account and apparently we got charged $ 3.25 for a $ 3 shitty sausage. Way to warn us about extra charges for swiping…

Adoo’s BBQ knows what’s up, and it is cranking out some mad ‘cue, for the most part. It is cheap, it is no frills, and it is trailer grub. Generally, you wouldn’t expect high quality out of a mobile eatery, since low and slow certainly needs consistency in service. The thing you really gotta check out is the absolutely ridiculous pork«rib.» More than just a large rib, it is more like a slab of pork with fantastic bark(think pork jerky). Additionally, you will discover those little bits of cartilage studded in your swine. In terms of the cattle, the brisket was really tender, almost barbacoa-like. The most appealing attribute was the huge pink smoke ring. More desirable was the bark. It could have certainly used a bit more crusting. It was nearly opposite the pulled pork. It shredded up nicely, but it just sort of pulled apart in long strands. Maybe a better slicing would have been good. They don’t serve up large onion slices, and sauce doesn’t come in a container, so eating isn’t the cleanest thing at Adoo’s. Then again, you should probably just plan on eating there. Digging into greasy dead animal shouldn’t be a knife and fork sort of event – nor should it be one in which you partake in your moving automobile. This new kid on the block offers up some well-smoked cow and pig, and I certainly put it one notch above the rest. Oh, except that F word.

It’s hard to review this place. This ISBBQ town, after all. We’ve got some killer places here in A-town and right outside of here(Lockhart, etc.). However, this stuff was quite good and I’m trying to figure out if it was even better than I remember. The context was a hot day sitting outside(sweating) after having parked in a ghetto pot-holed lot and received my BBQ from a trailer. So the context wasn’t great which is always something that influences my impression. That said, I do remember liking the ribs quite a bit as well as the spicy BBQ sauce. The beans were great. I think the bread was the cheap stuff from HEB. For all you BBQ peeps out there who love trying new places, this is worth your time. For all you BBQ peeps out there who haven’t tried some of the other epic places in town, maybe try this place after you’ve tried the others.

I love their food. The ribs were AWESOME and just fell off the bone. The brisket quesadilla is great too. I’m so glad they moved in right next door to my office building, but smelling it everyday makes me want to go there everyday :-) Keep up the yummy work!!!

Came by on a very hot day on a trip to try out a new bbq stop. While the prices are good and the line moved fast, I did not enjoy the food. All the meat was sitting in a crock pot(minus the sausage, which he pulled off the smoker, more on that in a moment). Worse then it sitting in a crock pot, it was all shredded. So my order of brisket was not big cuts of fatty brisket, they were cut up and chopped brisket. I think of chopped brisket as a different item then sliced brisket, and is not something I typically order. True to form, the brisket was dried out, did not have much flavor, and was tough. The pork, while having a good flavor and spice, was also dried out from being shredded and placed in a crock pot. The rib meat feel right off the bone and into pieces when I picked it up(contrary to popular belief, this is not a good thing). While the flavor of the rub was good and sweet, the meat was simply not good and over cooked. Finally, boudain sausage seemed to be a welcome surprise, but the case was hard to bite into, and the insides lacked spices. I will give accolades where due, and the side I had was good and flavorful. I would almost say the beans was the highlight of the meal. The other sides I saw others order also looked good. Sauce was forgettable. One of my biggest problem with the food is that it tasted burnt. Their was a smoke flavor in all the food, but it was not a good smoke. I think a heaping use of lighter fluid was used on the smoker. So while smoke comes through, it was not in a good way, and that was my biggest issue.

This place is awesome! And their service is top notch. Their meat quality are definitely cut above the rest of the BBQ places in town. I loved their sauce and perfect smokey flavor in the briskest and ribs. I can’t wait to go back and bring my wife there. This is a must try. After once you will be hooked!

I’m not a huge BBQ fan, but this food was flat out good. The beans were excellent(big chunks of brisket in them) and the pulled pork had really good flavor. I wanted to taste their sausage but they had already sold out, so they let me try this sausage-ish link with rice in it called a boudin. I honestly thought it was better food than the famous Lockhart BBQ.

The brisket sandwich is decent. As in, I wouldn’t be embarrassed if someone from out of town ate it as their first taste of Texas bbq. But it’s definitely not the best in Austin or in Texas. The sauce is too sweet and the brisket was a little bland. I can’t really taste the meat over the smoke. Not good smoke, but«this was lit on fire» smoke. I’d like to try the pork ribs, but $ 12 for a half rack is a little steep for lunch. I wouldn’t drive across town to come here, but it’s pretty good bbq for being right next to my office. They take credit cards and the brisket sandwich(without sides) is $ 5.

I stopped by to get a Sno Cone next door and stumbled upon this BBQ joint. There are a lot of BBQ joints in Austin so its tough competition. However this stood up to the best of them. I ordered a half rack of ribs and the beans(which have brisket in it). The ribs were fall off the bone ribs. The flavor from the pecan wood is very obvious not overwhelming. There was subtle amount of spice which is really nice. I thought the beans were totally awesome. Perhaps the best beans in Austin. Didn’t try the BBQ sauce so I can’t comment. However this is definitely a place to check out. PS I never give out 5 stars.

Simple menu with a very nice staff.(The girl taking orders reminded me of Sookie Stackhouse, although I’m not sure the resemblance would be apparent to many other people.) I loved the brisket, but my friend from Oklahoma thought it had too much sauce. I’m from Seattle, so she may be a better judge than me.

Interesting that it’s either 1 star or 5 stars… I’m not sure what happened to the 1 stars here, but I sampled both the brisket and Pork today. They were both nice and juicy. The BBQ sauce had a good flavor and complimented it well. Granted, I didn’t have a meal, but I do plan on returning when I’m around the area. It could be smokier flavored IMO. It’s a 3.75 out of 5 for me. There is some tough competition around here for BBQ! I will update once I have the full sandwich experience :)
