Here’s how the story goes… I was sleeping on a leaky air mattress for a couple months this summer and it got to the point where I couldn’t handle it anymore. I had been keeping an eye out for mattresses, but there were none within my budget. I mentioned it to a guy at work and he told me that they have mattresses at Aaron’s, so, being desperate, I decided to check it out. They had exactly what I needed, but at another location… so I went for it anyway, without trying them. If you’ve ever slept on a leaky air mattress, you understand my desperation. As I’ve said before, it was a little bit more expensive, but I don’t mind paying for the convenience of making payments. You have to put your first payment down up front. They have a 90 day same as cash policy, so I made sure to get it paid off before they started ripping me off. The staff was incredibly friendly, although a bit pushy… really, really pushy when I went in to make my final payment. They kept trying to sell me stuff like plasma tvs, computers, couches, etc. The payment process is really simple, too. You can either mail them in or drop by the store. I think that if you call ahead that you’re going to be dropping by, they will stay open just that little bit longer. Such a convenience in today’s crazy world! They also deliver for free. This was tedious for me, though, because they were scheduled to show up at my house between 4pm and 8pm on a Thursday, but they didn’t show up until 9:15 or so. I called the store a couple times and they said that the guys didn’t have a work phone, so he couldn’t contact them. When they finally showed up, though, I could hear them talking on a Nextel type phone that they were headed back to HQ after my delivery. They guy at the store had lied! I hope to never have to do business with them, but I’d consider it in a complete and utter bind!
