TJ Maxx

As a general rule, I am a fan of TJ Maxx because of all the great deals I’ve scored, but this TJ Maxx in particular is a favorite of mine for two reasons. The first being that it is literally right down the street from where I work so it’s beyond convenient. The second though, is that this TJ Maxx seems to be so forgotten and ignored that they always have a HUGE selection and the store is very clean. Overall I’d have to say that this is one of my favorite TJ Maxxs to visit for that very reason.

This store made me realize that sometimes: I am wrong. I mean, it’s a rare occurrence and it’s usually in regards to a very trivial manner but it does happen once in a blue moon.
I am kind of… particular. I really did not think this store would be worthwhile, but my coworker was going here on lunch and I could use a nice, long break so I headed out with her because no shopping addict is going to pass up an opportunity to shop on break! I was quite leery of «Northgate», and have been since I started working in the area several years ago. Everything in there is old, and it just seemed crappy from the outside. obviously being judgmental can cause you to miss out! The store isn’t very big, but they did have a comparable selection to other locations I’ve visited. They actually had a pretty good shoe selection and I ended up purchasing a cute pair of thong flip flops in a sort of neon orangy/​pink color made by Tommy Hilfiger for $ 14.99. The staff greeted us and the lines to checkout were not long (although the cash wrap area was somewhat disorganized). I will definitely return, especially since this is one of those stores where you never know what you’re going to get!

This is the most disgusting TJ Maxx I have ever been to. I understand when in stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls that they are not at the same level of a Nordstrom or a high end store but this TJ Maxx is the smallest junkiest one I have ever been to. I generally go to the one in Wheaton which appears to have much more variety and nicer merchandise than this store does.
The parking lot is a wreck potholes everywhere. This stores is just not located in a nice area. I generally don’t come out this way or to this store but I had a return and did not have time to go to the Wheaton Store. I can generally be in TJ Maxx for hours (you need to be in a hunting mood). I was in this store for roughly 15 mins for lack of merchandise and quality of merchandise…
I won’t be back to this store… cheaper crappy merchandise and in a questionable area… nope I’ll drive out to another location.

This TJ Maxx is located in the Northgate Shopping Center (near Carson and Harbor Freight). This store is bright, clean and well organized. It’s not a huge store, but there is enough space to hold a variety of inventory. They have a little bit of everything — clothes, shoes, accessories, toys, books, pets and home goods. They have a lot of good deals on brand name items and also off brand items. I was looking for an oil sprayer, but they didn’t have any at this particular one. They did have other things in the kitchen department that I was looking for, so it was a successful trip. The checkout line was short and fast. There were 2 cashiers that were helping customers on a Saturday afternoon.
