This is a great place to shop for business clothes if you’re tall. My mother is 5’11 and I’m 5’10, so finding clothes that fit our long legs can be difficult. A lot of the store is ‘work’ clothes. Not so much for me. My mom always ends up getting something when we come here. They always have a promotion going on, so you can get some serious savings. Part of the store is more casual clothing. Shorts, T-shirts, etc. This is where you’ll find me when my mom shops here. I’ve gotten pants and shorts from here before and I love them. They also have a really great selection of jewelry and accessories. It can get a little pricey, but it’s good quality. I’ve also purchased some of that from NY&CO and it always lasts. I’m so glad they have this location at Southlands because they do not have one in Park Meadows, and I like to shop in store rather than online. It’s hard finding pants that fit us because of our height. This is a great place for tall people. The workers at this location are friendly, haven’t had a bad experience. If you have a job that requires you to dress nice, I recommend stopping in here.

Not shorty friendly! And by that I mean literally shorties, I’ve been here a couple of times and cannot find petite length pants. The staff is really friendly and has always offered to order some in from another store so props for going the extra mile. They have ridiculous sales, ridiculous meaning I can get new some work clothes on the semi cheap plus they always have great stuff on the clearance rack. And their accessories? Omg, wonderful and usually have a sale going on as well! All in all a pleasant experience each time I visit!

This location is no different than any other New York and Co locations I have visited. They greet you as you walk in, maybe once or twice ask you if you are doing ok and are usually available when you do need help with something like getting a fitting room. The reason why this New York and Co and others like them will continue to get 3 stars is because of their constant badgering with their credit card. I shop here once in a while and it gets tiring to constantly be asked if I want their credit card. Chances are if I said no the other billion times I’m going to say no this time. It’s not their fault, it is how they’re trained. One at this location is definitely more pushy than others and that is very irritating. While they are asking for your email address, name and phone number they should create a database of who doesn’t want their credit card and to never ask them again. Trust me, if I want one I know who to find to get one. They do have awesome sales once in a while and that is usually when I come in there looking for a good deal.

My Hubby calls the Retail Execs who sit in Corporate Headquarters and make the rules for the Peons working in the stores: Educated Derelicts Why do I tell you this? Well, NY and Co’s Educated Derelicts rules are amongst the MOST annoying – 1. They scream at you upon entering: «Hello, Welcome to NY and Co !!!» 2. They follow you around grabbing each potential item, then run back to place it in your fitting room — making stupid comments(mostly false compliments), that just come off insincere 3. Every 2 minutes, they bang on your fitting room door, screaming «How we doin’ in there?» The worst part is the Credit Card hounding — no kidding, they Woman next to me was so sick of the constant, «Are you sure you don’t want to save an extra 15%» – She threatened to walk out without purchasing anything if they asked One More Time. If it wasn’t so fake, and their voices weren’t so shrill, maybe it would be tolerable, but it’s not Shopping should be fun and relaxing — so NY and Co — CHILL the F’ck OUT !!!
