Really glad the hotel recommended we give this place a try. We had fajitas and there were plenty for both of us. Great food and friendly service.

Food is served hot and the place is clean. They also don’t over season the food… another plus! You won’t leave hungry either. Next we’ll order from the small combo section instead of the large.

My husband and I tried Guadalaja for the first time and can honestly say we won’t be going back anytime soon, if at all. From the start things were good — the hostess was sweet and quickly seated us, chips and salsa arrived soon after, and even two different people asked us for our drink order. So far so good. When it came time to order our food my husband and I both ordered enchiladas(his suiza and mine chipotle) and I asked for sour cream and guacamole on the side since it didn’t originally come with it(meaning a dollop of each like it shows in the photos in the menu). What we ended up getting was an actually side of sour cream and guacamole… before the entrees even came out. I brushed it off as a miscommunication and ate some of the guacamole with chips while we waited for the entrees. The guacamole was nothing special and was a bit too creamy for my liking. When the food came out the plates were nice and hot which is pretty common from other Mexican restaurants I have frequented. The food looked good and I couldn’t wait to try out the chipotle enchiladas(one cheese and one ground beef). Then I took my first bite of the cheese enchilada… ANDTHECHEESEWASN’T EVENMELTED. My enchilada was full of shredded cheese that was STILLCOLD. I was flabbergasted. Why was my plate hot, but my enchilada not even melted? My ground beef enchilada was okay — not hot, but warm at least. The chipotle sauce wasn’t really spicy. The refried beans were okay(at least the cheese on top of those was melted) and the rice was so-so. Overall I was disappointed with my dish. My husband found his enchiladas suizas to be okay, but he’s had better at other local Mexican restaurants. The reason for the 2 star review? 1) Delivering a cheese enchilada where the cheese isn’t even melted(!!!) and 2) After we received our food our waiter(the one who took our order) never stopped by to ask us how the food was, refill our drinks, etc. He only stopped by when we were done eating to pick up our plates and bring us the bill. In summary: The food was between subpar and okay. The customer service was good, except from our actual waiter. There are much better Mexican restaurants in Aurora to check out.

Walked in was greeted very poorly, server«J.Carlos» took at least 15 min to ask if we were ready to order. Upon ordering we were rushed! Once our order was brought out my steak was way past well done and I specifically asked for medium. food was good although I never received part of my side order. Never got refills or was asked if we needed anything else! Ok food, not great but good. Service was HORRIBLE!!! Ask to not be helped by this guy“J.Carlos“ Very disappointed with the service, why bash on the place. I believe if they got rid of this individual they would really thrive!

Great service and great staff. Upon arriving I was skeptical of going in. The place looks a little sketchy form the outside. Upon arriving I was greeted and seated. They serve you chips and salsa. I decided to order camarones portugueses(Portuguese shrimp). The shrimp are wrapped in bacon. When the dish arrived I was surprised how big the plate was. The shrimp wasn’t the best but loved the beans with cheese. The service was attentive and caring. The food wasn’t the best but it was ok for a lunch stop.

This is a family favorite. Last night they had live music. Food is excellent and the service is always great. Been to almost all the Mexican restaurants in Aurora and this place is where we frequent most.

I’ve eaten here 6 or 7 times and I’m a fan. The food is good, the service is fast and friendly, and the Mayor margarita is one of the better margaritas I’ve had. And at $ 8.00, it’s reasonably priced. So far I’ve haven’t found anything not to like about this place.

I’m giving this place five stars because their service is great AND b/c I love their caldo de pollo(chicken soup)! It is soooooo delicious. Haven’t tried much else on the menu but if you’re a soup lover it’s a great place to go.

Food was good. I ordered based off other Unilocal reviews and we were not disappointed. This is one of the best Mexican places in the area and it can be hard to find a diamond in the rough when there are literally hundreds in the area.

Meh. The location in Castle Rock is better. Ok tasting food, slow service at the Aurora location. Not impressed and won’t be back. There are other places in Aurora that are way better for Mexican food.

I was very impressed with my first experience at Guadalajara! I went with a large group of coworkers(about 30) and they did a great job handling all of us. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a nice«authentic Mexican» vibe to it. They have great, reasonably priced lunch specials so I highly recommend coming at that time. I got the Spinach Quesadilla — it came with rice, beans, coleslaw, guacamole and sour cream — for only $ 9. It wasn’t the best Mexican meal I’ve ever had, but I really enjoyed it and would order it again! All my coworkers seemed to enjoy their meals as well. The chips and salsa were tasty. The best part had to be the service though! Everyone was very friendly and our waiter handled all the orders and checks to perfection.

You’ve gotta love this place! The service I receive is better than any service I’ve received at a restaurant. Live music. Awesome margaritas! I always get the Seafood Enchilada, so good! Comes with shrimp and scallops and they’re very good at giving a good amount of both. The service is quick even on a busy day(sunday).

I was a bit scared to go to a restaurant in this area but it was delicious. Although the salsa was a bit watery, the service was prompt and our waiter was nice. They have a large menu and I got a combination plate with a taco, chili relleno and enchilada which was about two meals for me for about $ 12. I have to say the Chile relleno was the best I’ve ever had!(Crispy). The prices are worth the amount of food you get. I would definitely come here again.

Terrible, terrible, terrible… I tried two different times to eat at this place and the food from the fajitas to the carnitas just plain bad. The wait staff is friendly enough, but the time to get food from the kitchen to the plate is not good. There is no seasoning on the food and came out lukewarm which did not make me happy. Will pass on this place now and the future.

We have never had a bad meal here. The service is always great, they are fast and friendly. The restaurant is clean and vibrant in festive décor. The food is always sizzling hot and fresh out of the kitchen. There are a ton of options to choose from and I think everything has been awesome so far. The sopapillas are great too… I could have licked the plate.

Given that there are so many excellent options for Mexican food around my house, it took almost a year for me to get around to trying Guadalajara. I came for lunch on Sunday and it was pretty busy — lots of families speaking Spanish, seemed like a good sign. The interior is nice decorated and better lit than other Mexican restaurants in the area. The menu is about five pages long so there are plenty of options to choose from. The lunch specials didn’t do much for me so I decided to do a big combo off the dinner menu to get a taste for this place. I ordered the relleno, enchilada, and tamale combo. At almost $ 12, the price seemed high, but the I saw the HUGE plate of food come out and it suddenly seemed like a much better deal. Salsa was a nice mix of onions and cilantro and Guadalajara did something most restaurants should do — they warmed up their chips! The tamale was one of the best I’ve had — a good mix of juicy, marinated pork and soft, moist masa. The enchilada and relleno were also tasty, though pretty standard fare. The rice was also good but plain. The beans though were really yummy — you can tell they use real lard! Overall I’d say this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve tried in Aurora and I’ll definitely be back to try more.
