Wow! What a wonderful experience we had. The food was excellent and you can’t go wrong with the burgers and the fresh baked rolls from their own bakery right down the street. My all time favorite Mac and cheese was outstanding. I found this Restaurant on Unilocal and they had rave reviews and I was not disappointed. The service was amazing and our waitress Sarah was wonderful. She told us all about the area and the history of the bar. Warm and inviting. We will be back and I will spread the word on the hidden gem. I don’t know why I waited so long. Excellent!!!

We were here for lunch and enjoyed our experience.
Food — 4.5
We didn’t try their dinner menu, which looked interesting. Their lunch menu is very much what you would expect from a pub. However, it’s not overcrowded and has something for everyone. We took black bean burger, onion rings, and an all you can eat cheese and veggie sandwich. All was very tasty. Black bean burger being very filling.
Atmosphere — 5
For a pub, it’s a wonderful bar. They have two levels with plenty of TVs. On the second level, they have a pool table, dart board, and a jux box. They even have a backyard for outside seating.
Service — 5
Friendly service. Fast and at all times appropriate.
Price — 4
Reasonably priced. The quality of the food even make it a good deal. We spent $ 40 total for 2 people.

Fargo is a fantastic option in the Finger Lakes. My absolute favorite thing to get there is the black bean burger. It is out of this world delicious! You can never go wrong ordering that burger.
They do have a ton of other good food options. There’s a great chicken salad with cranberry on the menu. Portions are always very reasonable– not skimpy, but not ginormous. They usually have lots of good beers on tap as well.
If you’re able to go in the spring or summer, definitely sit on the patio out back. It makes for a super pleasant and relaxing evening!

We just had a mid afternoon bite, so we shared a burger. Although I do like burgers I don’t eat them frequently. Now, this was worth it, good ingredients and high quality beef. The place has a cool vibe and we received good service.

this place was a local watering hole for many years (like 50) and was a bit of a dump but hey, that’s what’s great about local small town watering holes. well… it’s great now! had a beautiful meal there, excellent bloody mary and would recommend anyone to stop in and have a great time. nice staff, cool bartender. nachos were a tad disappointing but the burgers (which i never eat beef but my hangover insisted) made up for it, the sweet potato fries some of the best and again, best bloody marys ever! don’t miss this place.

Fargo’s has been a staple in the Aurora community since I was little. It has traditionally pub/​bar food; but also has a selection for the slightly more cultured taste buds. I haven’t been there since I was a little girl, but when I started going to the Mackenzie-Child’s Barn Sale 3 years ago, I convinced my friends to stop in. I love the cranberry/​chicken salad wrap, the fish fry on Friday nights is delicious and this year I had the Southwestern Salad with grilled chicken. All of it is reasonably priced and they are always accommodating to the crazy barn sale customers!

I just finished having dinner here and everything that I had to eat was so good! I got mozzarella sticks and they were the bomb.
Then I had some bomb ass chili.
Then I had a biggiddy bomb ass Philly cheese steak.
And then my fries were the mudda fruggin’ bomb!
The H20 that was sitting in my cup, was straight up dainty and fresh yo. Like, I drank some and I thought I was gonna cry but then I was like nah son, naaaaah, you gotta be strong because if I cry, I’ll lose some of that bomb ass water.

My friend’s family owns a «cottage» in Aurora so we have been to Fargo on multiple occasions. They have always had a pretty good beer selection, and the food has been decent. I honestly don’t remember specific food choices, it’s been a couple years since I’ve been, but nothing ever blew me away, or let me down. Prices are a little high, but that’s to be expected considering the area. They do have a pool table, and if I remember correctly an internet jukebox.

If I could give the Fargo a 0 star review, I would. Let’s start with the fact that this place is extremely overpriced for what they offer. The food is sub par for the most part, nothing special, you could get a better meal at an Applebee’s or TGI Fridays for half the price. I attended school in Aurora for 4 years and if it was not one of the only restaurant within 20 miles I would NEVER GO THERE. One of the bartenders there, I believe his name is Matt was very rude and condescending and had probably the worst display of service I have ever encountered. All of their alcoholic beverages are overpriced and from what I understand they are watered down. All in all, the Fargo is a dive and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Great bar with great food! This cute bar is right across the street from the Aurora Inn and owned by them. The burgers and sanchwiches are amazing, and have fresh cut fries. They have a decent beer & wine selection as well. The only con are their wings. Would def recommend this place and would def return!

Stayed across the street at the charming Aurora Inn, and we enjoyed visiting this nicely restored village pub.
The place was always packed with locals of all ages, as well as students from Wells College, plus, a few tourists like us, a nice mix.
Their burgers, fries, and onion rings were nicely homemade. My partner and I enjoyed ordering local craft beers, as well as wines from Finger Lakes, all nicely priced. Bar staff were friendly — they new we were tourists — so, they worked a little harder to make us feel at home, and we appreciated this gesture very much.
Can’t go wrong dining and/​or drinking here.

We went to this restaurant this past weekend during a visit to Ithaca and a side trip to a winery. The atmosphere is nice, typical bar with a pool table (big PLUS). We sat outside and were taken care of by a very friendly staff. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I had a turkey rueben with a side of soup. My friend had the burger which was to die for. The food came out promptly. It was nice to eat outside on the patio. If there was a downside to the experience, it has to be the smell of disinfectant that’s used in the bathrooms. Every time the bathroom door opened, there was the worse pungent smell of Pin Sol that wafted throughout the bar. We had a great time and if you’re ever through this beautiful area beside Lake Cayuga, stop at the Fargo for some good food and spirits.

I LOVE the Fargo! This is the only place in town for delicious, casual food. They also own the Inn across the street with serves chef inspired dishes but I believe the kitchen at the Fargo adheres to the same standards.
This casual, fun pub serves mostly sandwiches and salads and specials. When they serve any dish with seared Tuna is sells out quickly. They can accommodate larger parties with a quick phone call, in fact we came here for Mother’s Day because my mom loves this place too.
The bar has interesting beers on tap and they are very welcoming and friendly.

All the reviews that mentioned the fast, hot great food were right. A cute local bar and grill, that had nice character and wonderful food. I had the black bean burger with sweet potato fries, and others had the eggplant wrap and the turkey on ciabatta. It seemed like only 5 minutes after ordering, our food was sitting in front of us. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
I would definitely go back next time I am in that area.

Shocked… We went in here expecting basic food basic flavor just something to eat, was very surprised. The staff was very friendly very hospitable, the atmosphere was nice for bar, the food is excellent! Some of the best sweet potato fries that I’ve ever had, The meal I had was perfect, I asked everyone else and their food was great.
Don’t let the small town décor fool you from the outside it is a very comfortable spot to go have a beer watch the game… and the food is great.

We were pleased!
I rolled in with my team– 25 people in all– and we had a nice time overall.
The food in this place reminded me of a gastro-​style pub, fresh fries, fresh home-​made guac and salsa with hidden notes of lime and cilantro.
We were seated downstairs in a private room– I called three days ahead to reserve that space– and although it took a while to get 25 plates out the server was up front about that and how busy they were so no worries here.
