Have been here twice for a quick lunch close to campus. Both times, very good food, warm customer service. Trip 1– meat-filled burrito which met my carnivorous cravings. Beans and other sides were just alright to this Midwestern gut. Trip 2– a variety of tacos… marvelous! Picked asada, chorizo, y pollo. All VERY flavorful and fresh. Three filled nicely, probably could’ve had a fourth. Mary had a chicken gordita and liked it a lot. Bottled coke with real sugar, a plus! Many salsas to choose from and tasty chips for apps. Go here for a great lunch near campus.

Instant favorite. This might be the best salsas I’ve had in Colorado… you can tell they are homemade and damn they’re good. I got a delicious chorizo torta that didn’t cost much but filled me right up. If this place wasn’t so far from me, I’d be here all the time. Friendly people to boot.

Solid 5 stars. GREAT grub. The guys were serving Guatemalan Enchiladas today, and great gadzukes, they were crazy good! Nothing like the cheezy innards stuffed into rolled corn tortillas, and smother-baked that most associate with the word enchilada(that I also love), the Bronco chef, Guatemaltecos-style, piled a delicious palette of ground meet, cheese, crema, carrots, rings of onion, a unique sauce and BEETS on top of a crisped, semi-flat corn tortilla. Going back soon for the chile verde, tortas, and the weekend special of Guatemalan-style chile rellenos. Can’t wait!

This is a good place to scoop up a couple of tacos and then get back to whatever it was that you were doing in Aurora in the first place. I wasn’t terribly impressed with the fish tacos, but the pollo was excellent, especially with the serve-yourself homemade salsas. Upon asking for my tacos to be served with no cilantro(I can’t stand the stuff), the waitress agreed but said that she loves cilantro because it masks the smell of onion if you ever happen to eat a particularly onion-laden dish. Needless to say, these guys know what they’re doing.

I will probably go back here because these other tacophiles liked it so much, but I have to say I was not impressed. The Taco Discado was good– I mean, that many random meats is never a bad thing, especially if one is bacon and another is hotdog. The Carnitas were moist and tender as well. Actually, the chicarones were great, too. But the other 4 or 5 we had were rather below average. And though I didn’t expect the pastor to be that good, it was barely recognizable as pastor. Every taco joint has it’s specialties, but there seemed to be more bad than good. Also the tortillas are store bought and the salsas are hit and miss as well. I will try this place again inevitabley because it is on the way home from work for me and I can’t pass up 4 huge tacos for 5 dollars, so I will report back again soon. For now: 3 stars.

Well as one of the members of the AACBT I must say that of the three taquerias we managed to make it to, this was my fav taco(what do you mean they were the only tacos I ate? Oh yeah, I had a bowl of menudo that I split with Hans at Los Carb’s and an elote«ear» of corn at Taco Jr. So, actually that means I’m speaking the truth! Right?). The taco de discada or the«kitchen sink taco» aka«look, there’s a hot dog in my taco» was very tasty and the tinga or chipotle spice chicken taco was good too. Great find Thomas. I’m letting my Aurora folk know about this place for sure.

Stop 2 on the November 7th2009 Taco Tour… This place was yummy! They have a taco with multiple meats including bacon on it! I am a fan and would venture here again! Very friendly service too.

My tacos al pastor were the bomb. At first I thought the little pineapple chunks were fat chunks, of which I am not a fan. Upon closer inspection, I determined that they were actually juicy little chunks of heaven. Very. Yummy. The complimentary chips are unusually tasty– a bit thicker than standard– and I liked their salsas too. To drink, I ordered the agua de piña(pineapple juice), which isn’t too sticky/syrupy/sweet or too tart, just crisp and refreshing. I recommend that combination; the pineapple in the al pastor goes nicely with the agua de piña.

Despite quite a few miserable experiences eating along this stretch of Montview Blvd., there was something about El Taco Bronco that made me want eat there despite it not appearing on any listing on google or Unilocal.Well, I’m glad I did it because this place is definitely a winner. Let me start off by telling you about their taco de discada. I had never heard of this Chihuahuan favorite before today, but with an ingredient list that reads like a who’s who of heart attack inducing meats — chorizo, ham, bacon, and ground beef — there was no way on earth I’d let this option pass. Without a doubt a brilliant combination that was to my surprise — not THAT greasy. Of course, my favorite taco meat is the al pastor. The style they employ at El Taco Bronco is slightly different in that the pork is shaved very thin and instead of having chucks of pineapple, they shred their pineapple into tiny pieces that are evenly spread throughout the taco. The result is a beautiful blending of flavors, and an incredibly juicy taco. I also gave the adobada and the shredded beef tacos a try. Good, but not my favorites. Today they were running a 4 tacos for $ 5 special — too awesome to pass up. However, they also have an extensive menu of combinations, sopas, tortas, and other dishes that look great and warrant return trips. In addition, they offer free chips that allow for you to check out the variety of salsas at the self-serve bar. The couple running the restaurant were cute, sweet and super friendly. I’m looking forward to future visits.
