Really enjoyed our dinner here. Service was prompt and friendly and the steaks and sides were really good. The deviled egg appetizer, Parmesan creamed spinach, and key lime pie were probably our favorite things of the night.

I used to love this place because of the burgers but what happened. The burger was like something you get from McDonalds. Bring back the old burgers please.

S and I came here for a pre competition meal on a Saturday night for a power meal of meat and veggies. We sat at the bar because of the late arrival, something which is fine for me because I like sitting at the bar more than having a table anyhow. The barstaff was already bustling about, but they seemed a little bit flustered although only 8pm. There were two full time bartenders, a staffer, and a waitress hustling back and forth behind the bar. Two separate people got wine for my friend and I, so I was a tad confused. Also, randomly bread appeared at the people next to us before we got any and they sat down later than we did. Alright, no worries. For the main course I got the filet and the asparagus with a side of mac n cheese. all in all a disappointing meal. I asked for the filet medium rare, after all it was a mignon, came out closer to medium-well, but not much you can fix on that. The asparagus was a tad limp and I can say mediocre on mac and cheese, I mean, it’s a chain, not much you can do about that. I do give them a thumbs up for their wine selection, that was priced well, however, overall, a pretty meh — mediocre experience. Good for entertaining a family dinner but nothing i’d visit on a regular. For a steak house chain, it was, it was fine, except for a couple service hickups, so overall it would be a 2.5 stars reviews.

The Chop House is nicely appointed with wood and has subtle lighting. It has two sets of bar areas facing the monitors — which was a nice touch for whoever thought lf it. I was impressed by the simple, yet upscale nature of the location. Yet, bad customer service from the beginning almost made me walk out, but it turned out to be a better experience later. We went to sit at the bar and expected the usual service. Instead of a greeting, we were confronted by some skinny, glasses-wearing waiter who just looked like she did not want to be here. All she said was ‘Something to drink?’, poured some water haphazardly to where it spilled on the counter and walked over to someone else — giving a greeting and trying to act as though she wanted to work now(possibly a friend). I just simply asked another waitress if she could help us; the first one then tried to look like she was dumbfounded by the fact that i did not want bad service all night. The next waitress was good, so i went on to order. We then ordered the crab cakes and two T-bones; the food was about average. The crab cakes are more bread than crab, but had a nice fresh taste to them; therefore, they are good for the cost especially considering they come with a side. We ordered the cinnamon apples — which were on par with everywhere else i have been. The water did not have a weird aftertaste and the wine came out at sufficiently low temperature. The salad was sub-par, but who goes to a steak house for good salad? The T-bones were huge, but had no good taste. I waited before i put A1 sauce on it, so i could taste it in its pure form; i threw A1 on it after 2 bites. I have gotten used to a lot of restaurants, like Dantanna’s in Atlanta, that put rubs on their steaks. This was bland by comparison, but was adequately cooked; I ordered well done and there were still places in the steak that were red though. It was not a problem, since i have an iron stomach, but i do have a very discerning taste. The baked potatoes should be swapped out for something else, if you choose to order steak; they are obviously sitting in some oven somewhere just getting dried out. I can recommend this place because of the city it is located in and the limited options; however, in the grand scheme of the world, The Chop House is somewhat mediocre in food quality.

The food was good, got a steakhouse burger and seafood pasta, fries tasted like frozen ones. Service was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Took over an hour and four tries to get the bill correct, the waitress kept putting items from other tables on our check. Food took an hour to come out, waitress had to check with us four or five times what we ordered while we were waiting for the food.

My family and I go to Chop House once a month now to enjoy a night out together and a lovely meal. My husband and myself are very particular about our meat being medium rare, not medium, and it always comes out just right. The meat is always flavourful and juicey, just mouth watering. From the warm bread placed on the table to the bottom of the sweet potato, you will not be disappointed with your meal, and if by chance you ever are the staff will take care of it for you. The fact that my son will eat the food there is an extreme plus for us because he is one picky eater. As my husband calls him the next Wolfgang Puck do to me not being allowed to cook without him being present in the kitchen(a tad dramatic). We enjoy our evenings there with the lovely staff that is very attentive to your needs but not over bearing. Perfect family or date night dine-in establishment.

This restaurant is above most when it comes to décor and overall atmosphere. When me and the wife just want to have a nice date night this place is always on the list. The portions and quality of food is spot on with the price. I gave it 4 stars because you have to be in the mood to go here. The reason I say that is because of the location. Parking comes done to pure luck. You can find yourself walking a good amount of distance just to eat here. Other than that I cant pick this place a part to much. The drinks, steaks, service and atmosphere are all to my liking. If you are looking for a nice quiet outing with that special someone and don’t want to pay through the roof then this is the place.

Food was very mediocre, almost no beer on tap(all of it generic swill). Military Monday discount saved the day though(10oz steak for ten dollars). Not sure if it’s worth it any other night or for civilians.

Our server was excellent. Sadly the rest was much more disappointing. First our sweet tea came out unsweetened, not a big deal for me so I drank it and on the second round it was actually sweet tea. I ordered an appetizer. Big mistake. The Ahi Tuna(seared raw fish) came out of the kitchen after a few short minutes. Something struck me as off but I couldn’t put my finger on it so took a bite. Ice cold and dry. The consistency of a flaky rubber. The bed of couscous below it was a solid clump. This appetizer had been made in error the day before, refrigerated, and served to me at 5pm the following day. There’s so many things wrong with that picture that my brain wasn’t sure where to begin. The restaurant was prepared to charge me full price for what should have never made it past the nearest trash receptacle. They served me raw fish that had been exposed to a heat source and then almost certainly improperly cooled and stored overnight. I’d be lucky to get away with a mild case of food poisoning. I’ve worked in commercial kitchens, so I have a good understanding of how these things can happen and how I’d like them to be handled. I resisted the urge to walk out. I understand that bad food from the kitchen isn’t the servers fault, a great server might have caught that, but responsibility falls on the cook that let it pass through the window. So I informed our server of my objections when she stopped by to check on us. She looked horrified and apologized. I was genuinely nice about it and asked her to bring it back to the kitchen. She offered to bring out another. Not on your life. Another server approached our table, she was wearing an apron, and if she was a member of management I didn’t know it. She informed me that we wouldn’t be charged for the appetizer(I didn’t need to be told that, and truth be told, I was mildly annoyed that she felt it necessary to inform me as if she was doing me a favor) and asked if we wanted anything else. I politely said no thank you. At this point I was doing my best to move on, I’d eaten here several times and despite some bad reviews I had yet to have a bad experience. The main entrée’s came out, eventually. Everyone had ordered the sirloin salad, which is typically the best salad I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Faced with the choice of small or large we had ordered large salads and yet they came out medium sized at best. Not only were they smaller, they had been sloppily thrown together, drowned in salad dressing, and the steak was piled in a clump at the top. Not what I expected for a $ 20 salad. Total lack of effort, but edible. I’m not sure if the line cooks were mad that I sent the appetizer back or just incompetent, my guess is both. On that note, I understand turnover in a chain kitchen is nearly constant and they’re certainly under paid. That’s why someone has to watch the window and more importantly management has to prioritize quality over waste. What happened to me was not only insulting to my intelligence, it was greedy, and dangerous. When that does happen you don’t send a different server to apologize, you find a manager and you make it right. It’s your restaurant, don’t ask me what I want you to do about it, just fix it. Even if the table doesn’t ask for it I expect some sort of gesture that indicates a bit of remorse and effort to make it right. Far below expectations, for a high priced chain restaurant they left me extremely disappointed. They’ll continue to have lines out the door because there’s enough people in this city and not enough restaurants to make them work for it but I’ll swing by McDonald’s the next time I’m hungry by the mall. I won’t feel great afterwards but at least there you get what you pay for.

I admit I never leave reviews because I rarely have an experience that warrants it. However, this place forced my hand. This is a chain restaurant with steakhouse prices. The salad was the best part of the meal. The«ribeye» was about a half inch thick… Not a big deal for most but if I am paying $ 25 dollars for a steak it should at least be a reasonable cut. They placed it on a bed of mystery sauce which is code for«our steak is low quality and we need to hide it» I didn’t even finish my drink because I was feeling sick from the meat. The server was busy, but gave off a vibe of «I don’t give a f&@k» which made it that much better. My first experience and my last experience. I hope yours is better.

I heard so many great things about this but the food and service kinda let me down today. The three of us were having lunch and seeing the line out the door definitely made us excited. We didn’t even mind the 15 minute wait but it did turn away a few groups of four that came in after us. Looking around, it was filled with ladies who lunch, some couples on lunch break and what looked like a birthday party. We were seated in the bar in a cozy little booth and a very rushed server named Taylor walked up to our table, said nothing and then walked away. Turned out she was a server in training and thought the trainer had already greeted us. Our server came by shortly afterwards and quickly took our orders and gave us the incorrect drinks. By the time they got it correct, there were 4 additional glasses sitting on the table. And after they got the drink order of unsweetened tea, they kept replacing it with sweet tea. I gave up after that and just gave into drinking the wrong tea. Our food was pretty standard. The deviled egg appetizer got a lot of refrigerator condensation on them and the yolk had a strong sweet relish taste to it that did not mesh with the brown sugar bacon. My steak came out exactly as ordered and the macaroni cheese sauce did not disappoint. My friends steak was overcooked and despite her request for modifications on her potato, it came out wrong. My husbands pasta tasted amazing though and he promises he’ll be back for takeout service later. We didn’t get any steak sauce till we were halfway done with our steaks and even then, had to ask twice. Despite the terrible service, the dirty bar we looked at during the entire meal, the foodrunners were excellent in addressing our needs to steak sauce and we got our bill quickly when we could finally flag down our server.

Came here for my parents anniversary. We called ahead of time to request a private table and a seasoned server because of my parents’ dietary restrictions. Our server, Tara, did an incredible job of making their anniversary dinner super special. She helped us manipulate the dishes to our needs and brought a card, and cake out at the end of our meal. The manager, Alison, also came by our table to make sure we were satisfied with our experience. I am positive my parents will want to dine here again and I will recommend to friends and family.

Pro: Into everyone’s life, a little bit of steak must fall. And that’s a good thing at the Chop House! I enjoyed everything this place put in front of me! I started with their«Slow & Low Old Fashioned», which impressed despite not being a bourbon product. The Chargrilled Shrimp & Crab Cake was a great warm-up, but the Ribeye was the star of the show… well seasoned and well seared, so no leftovers for me! Con: Though the low-light ambiance is great, TCH is still next to a mall. It’s not a deal breaker by any means, but somewhere that has good«date night» potential shouldn’t be near high-density commercial crowds… Bottom Line: Their steak is not a mistake!(See what I did there?)

Our out-of-town crew of 12 spent a nice evening here for dinner last night. Mostly steak eaters, a couple had chicken and fish. Food was well prepared, tasty. One star ding for moderately erratic service(not from our primary waitress but from her coworkers) and for one mixed up order. Regardless, we’d come back. Chop House treated us right and we went away happy.

I was looking for a steakhouse to take my dad for Father’s Day. I was really glad to stumble on this restaurant on Unilocal. The chop house has few locations in Tennessee(numerous areas), Kentucky(Lexington), Georgia(Augusta, Ohio(Dayton). It was established in 1992 serving USDA Prime and Choice Beef/inspected seafood, Premium, aged, uniquely seasoned, hand-selected steaks and chops, lean prime rib, they are also known for their giant sweet potatoes topped with their special brown sugar cinnamon butter and homemade onion rings. When I took my dad it was super packed which was understandable. We waited for 45 minutes to an hour. I tell you it was WORTH the wait. As we were seated, our hostess grabbed our drinks RIGHT away. Then followed our server who was very friendly, helpful and attentive. She asked us if we had any questions(which we did) and took our order right away. I got the 6OZ. Filet Mignon– medium well($ 24.00). I didn’t want the salad sub steamed broccoli, and my side was the mashed potatoes and additional $ 1.00 for béarnaise sauce. For my wine, I got the 14 hands Cabernet Sauvignon(9 oz carafe) My mom got the Chop House Pork– medium well Chop 12 oz.($ 16.00) with rice pilaf and macaroni cheese. My dad got the Sirloin-well done 10 oz. with loaded baked potato and side salad-French dressing($ 20.00) additional $ 4.00 he added a grilled chicken. While we waited we had hot bread(sliced loaf) with butter. My dad’s salad came out with grilled chicken. Our server came by and was concerned with with my his salad. She instantly knew that my dad did not order the grilled chicken topped on his salad. My dad was pretty laid back and said it was okay and ate it. He actually enjoyed it! Even though it was their mistake, our server insisted on giving him what he ordered-grilled chicken with his steak. Since steaks take time to cook and it was busy, we waited for more than 30 minutes(expected). I thought for sure that one of our meals was not prepared correctly. They were DOWN to a T! Cooked to perfection! My dad is REALLY picky when it comes to preparation with his steak. He was was so pleased that he ate all of it. He didn’t even have any sauce to dip. He loved the seasoning! Too bad he did not have room for his extra grilled chicken. He ended up taking it home which he didn’t mind. My mom’s meal was great as well. They messed up on her order and gave her baked cinnamon apples instead of Macaroni and cheese. Our server was on it right away. My mom was pretty laid back didn’t mind waiting. My meal was delicious! Filet Mignon was tender, béarnaise sauce was mouth watering, broccoli was not soggy and couldn’t get enough of the mashed potatoes. When leaving reviews, I know we all go for the taste and quality of our meals, but this review is mainly our server who went the extra mile to give us excellent service on a busy day. Our server made my father’s day extra special. My dad left with a full belly and a smile. Why can’t service be like this all the time. Thank you very much. Definitely will return!

This was my first time here being back in the mall over the last few months and I was quite impressed with the location, the menu, the service, and the actual restaurant. It was a busy Sunday afternoon when a friend and I decided to eat here. The wait was about 15 minutes to be seated. We were seating in a timely manner and our server came over. He was actually a friend of my friend so this was a perfect combination!!! The service was great!!! He fulfilled our needs in perfect fashion. It was lunch time so we were given a lunch menu which was filled with so many great deals. Most times when you order off of a lunch menu the portions are often small or half of the regular portion but that was not the case. The portions were great and I had enough to take home and share with family. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with rice pilaf, broccoli and asparagus. The chicken was fried hard and crunchy just the way I like it. My only complaint about the food was the asparagus. It was omitted from my plate and brought out later but it had a weird metal taste to it. I had it taken off of my bill. Other than that, I enjoyed what I ordered but next time I want to try the Seafood pasta. It sounded really good on the menu and I love pasta. I enjoyed my first experience here and can’t wait for the next one and the next one. Great job, Chop House!!!

The Chop House is one of those places where consistency reigns supreme in excellent service and good food. I went on a Friday afternoon and was surprised that I instantly got a booth as it was late afternoon on a payday weekend for many. Once again the consistency I wrote about earlier was proven on this night as I had the pleasure of having Nikki as my hostess. She was spot on with the orders and told me that I would not be dissatisfied by their Moscow mules when I asked about drink selections. She was right and she made the dining experience enjoyable with her humor and attentiveness. I usually go with steak but this time I went with the chargrilled shrimp that was on a bed of pasta along with broccoli. The shrimp was cooked correctly as to not overcook such a delicate item. Actually I hardly used any of the garlic butter dipping sauce that came with it as I preferred to taste the shrimp as is. I have to also say that I did have the onion rings as an appetizer and this place has some of the best onion rings you will find anywhere. There is a Chop House here in Annapolis and I am hoping they will keep the high standards that I have come to know Chop House for. If you want a good dining experience at a more than reasonable price this is where your hunt will end.
