Came in for a cut and color. I was running behind for my appointment because of work, but the staff was accommodating and fit me in anyway. Jonathan was my stylist and did an excellent job on not only my cut and color, but he was also patient and took his time with my hair. He was very informative about their products and answered all of my questions. It’s clear that he knows what he is talking about. This salon has friendly/knowledgeable staff, great customer service, and provides a uniquely local experience. I highly recommend Jonathan’s expertise when it comes to your next hair cut/color.

Wow. I was looking(desperately searching actually) for a salon in Augusta where I could get a nice haircut and a VERY specific type of Keratin treatment. I prefer the Coppola Smoothing Keratin Brand, more specifically the advanced glycolic treatment. Simply there was no where in town that I could find that offered it. I’ve gotten to the point where leaving town to get my hair done is no longer realistic. I called La Dolce Vita as they offer Coppola– they told me they didn’t have the treatment I wanted. I thanked them and moved on. The next day I got a call. They had researched the treatment I asked about, and offered to order it. I was FLOORED. I had not left my name– they’d pulled my number from caller ID. After they’d gone to all that effort, who was I to say no? I scheduled my appointment. I arrived to a chic, friendly salon. They offered me a beverage– including a glass of wine! I accepted a glass of champagne. Why not? My stylist was friendly and made appropriate conversation– yet picked up on and respected the fact that I was doing some work related emails and such. Ps. FREEWIFI! Overall I’m very impressed with La Dolce Vita. I will go back, and for a salon that’s the ultimate compliment.

So, I have given this place several attempts to win me over as a customer, and I get my hair cut every three weeks — today, was the day that I have decided to never come back again. To be fair, the«pros» to this salon: modern and boutique-ish. And every time I have come the receptionist and my hairstylist, Jennifer, have always been friendly; however, the cons— I always get a simple haircut, more like a trim. My shampoo is rushed and although Jennifer does a nice job cutting my hair, I never«see» if it is good until I wash it later that night. There is definitely no «styling» to my hair. I leave the salon with«damp» hair that just looks, well, gross. I am definitely self-conscious about it for the rest of the day; most of the time I go home, but isn’t it just terrible to feel like this when you pay for a hair cut? Also, my appointments also feel rushed. Today my appointment started late because Jennifer was working on a previous customer. The lady who she was working on before me, moved out of my chair and into the chair next to mine and started blow drying her own hair! At different times, Jennifer just stopped cutting my hair and went back over to help the other lady. I’ve never felt so «second.» I expect to be the center of attention when I am paying for a haircut, not to be interrupted, nor have my stylist leave me to go help another customer, especially the same one who caused my appointment to run late from the beginning. But what really pushed me over the edge today is how my husband was treated. He was sitting on the sofa reading a magazine with three other people. The receptionist came over and asked the other people if they were thirsty, or if someone had already gotten them coffee, water, etc. She never asked my husband – she completely ignored him and walked off. My husband is black and was the only one at the time in the salon. I thought maybe that she only asked«clients,» but one of the men sitting with my husband was also waiting for his wife. So, that theory was out. I can give her the benefit of the doubt that she was oblivious and forgot. Or, she is racist. I can tolerate the lateness or the damp hair, but I cannot and will not tolerate an environment that disrespects, whether it is due to unprofessionalism or racism. I will not be coming back to find out.

I am not impressed with this place. It usually takes 30 to 40 minutes to cut my hair but the hair cut here took 6 minutes. it was more like the super cut hair cut. The employees were very nice and pleasant but the skill was not there.

I absolutely LOVE my new hair color! Okay, to start off with I searched online many different salons and after reading these 2 positive reviews on Unilocal I decided to give them a try. I commented on their website to see if I could make a reservation and the very next day I received a call letting me know that an opening just became available. I was surprised because I was expecting to wait at least 2 weeks according to their policy, but I was thrilled to be seen so quickly! When I got to the salon, I received a warm and friendly welcome from the receptionist. I waited at least 10 – 15 mins to see the stylist, which I didn’t mind at all. The décor of the salon was very modern and bright. I loved the wooden beams on the ceiling. I also liked how open it was and convenient the stylist chairs were from the area you get shampooed at. Mario was my hairstylist and I basically showed him the color I wanted and he let me know that it’s not going to be exactly like the picture but he recommended suggestions which I approved. He was very friendly and attentive. Mario took his time and I could tell he knew what he was doing. Overall it took little over 2 hrs because I had a lot of hair, Asian hair. I was amazed on the finished result! I wanted to go lighter for the summer and Mario definitely did that. I will for sure be back, plus it’s so close to where I live! Thanks Mario and the La Dolce Vita Salon team for an awesome experience!

I have lived in Augusta for several years with many attempts at finding a good hair salon with a stylist I trusted. I wish I had found La Dolce Vita sooner! Mario is a true artist and professional. I not only love my haircut and color, but it is a great experience to be in the salon itself. From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed, with offers of coffee or wine and plenty of up to date magazines to browse. The décor is modern and fun. Mario was very attentive and paid attention to what I wanted my hair to look like, and the finished product was perfect! I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

FINALLY! Good Lord, I finally found a Salon I can call my own. Praise Jayzus, Allah, Buddha, et, al. So in my previously unsuccessful quests to find a salon that«Gets It” — I was beyond thrilled when I got ma hair did at LDV. From the minute I walked in, I was put at ease that NOMATTERWHO cut my hair, it was going to be great. Everyone looked stylish and I got a feeling that that they knew exactly what I wanted and could execute it properly. Added bonus: They have moved the Salon from downtown to closer to me(Off of Wheeler Rd. across-ish from the Target Plaza). It must have been fate. The stylist really listened to me and was very professional, yet down to earth(he was Skateboarding in the parking lot earlier :). The cut was quick, well-executed, and he even suggested a tweak in the cut that I hadn’t even thought about. I walked out of there looking and feeling like a bad-ass. If you are from a bigger city and are used to having a Name Brand chain to go to(i.e: Gene Juarez, or Toni & Guy) and are having difficulty finding a chic, stylish salon to go to. Check out La Dolce Vita.
