Just left a local business we will never return to — our friends gave us a couples massage gift certificate last Christmas — we finally make time to use it and spa doesn’t honor it(«old gift certificate,» «expired,» then stating for«other location»(which is closed), then«on printer paper” — yes this is how old location issued gift certificate, then came«under new ownership» and«there’s a sign posted to show gc first, didn’t someone ask you?» — no, they did not). We asked to speak to owner/manager who refused to come out yet we could hear defensive conversation regarding the subject in the back. In the end therapists who did a great job get stiffed of a tip while spa refuses to honor the gift certificate and insists on payment in full. Management hiding in the back not coming to speak to us and choosing to not honor or offer any other remedy is extremely poor practice, particularly for a local business. Good way to ensure a bad review and ensure we will spread the word…

This place is overpriced and the customer service is lacking. I came in for a facial and wasn’t even asked about my prior experience with facials what kind of medications I was using or what kind of facial I even wanted. My aesthetician was late with my service and then she finished my service early. So all in all I paid $ 70 for a 30 minute facial that wasn’t what I wanted at all because my aesthetician did not communicate with me at all. I would avoid this place and I’m looking for a new spa.

I had a fantastic experience with the staff performing my wax but I have to give this place two stars for the hair appointment I had. The stylist was over 30 minutes late to start my appointment, she was not very friendly, and took forever(over 30 minutes to shampoo my hair!). I was told basic partial highlight and trim would be 2 ½ hours. I had an event I needed to attend after the appointment. I unfortunately had to leave after the cut with wet hair and no style due to how slow she was, as she was nowhere near done at 2 ½ hours. I am very hesitant to return to this salon(it was my first visit) and I am hoping it was just the stylist I was assigned. It is a beautiful salon and very spacious but I just don’t have all day for a hair appointment. Bottom line– my color came out ok and my trim was done well, but I would only recommend this place if you can be assigned to a more senior stylist who time manages better for their clients and is not so unprofessional.

This was my first time at this salon. Anyways, I came in for only trim. The décor inside is absolutely beautiful and clean. It’s also a full service salon which is very convenient, so far so good. I got my hair washed and proceeded on with the cut. The stylist was very nice. Everything actually was fine until the end. She began to blow dry my hair to finish up. Now usually, what I’m accustomed to is a nice smooth blow out or my hair straightened straight. My hair gets poofy whenever I try to blow dry by myself so I love having the salon do it cause it comes out so nice. As she was blow drying it became more and more poofy. I didn’t worry too much bc I figured it was just her process and it was eventually going to come out straight. It didn’t. She went on to straighten it but she might as well not have it looked the same, poofy. I was kinda confused when she said she was done… surly she doesn’t think this poofy mess was ok… I asked if she could straighten it and she passed over it again… it looked the same. I paid and left. That’s why I gave 3 stars. I think it may hVe just been the stylist bc right next to me a lady was having her hair blowdried as well and it looked beautiful. I think her name was Lauren. I think I’ll try the one in Evans next time.

I went to aqua salon for purple color and a cut. I was told the purple was something they could accommodate. After four hours of being there, I left with RED hair and NO cut. Don’t recommend.

Moving to different places can be so stressful. One of the difficulties is you have to find a spa salon(facial, hair, mani & pedi etc). From Germany to California and to Georgia, Aqua Salon & Spa by far is the best! I spent time to look and compare all the salons here in Augusta. I was hesitant at first because of the pricing but it’s worth it. Staff are very nice and friendly. Liza did my facial and waxing. The facial includes a head, neck and shoulder massage. Very professional. She had to explain everything before the session and she listened very carefully on what I wanted. I felt very relaxed afterwards. The place looks small outside but huge inside. It was clean and nice ambiance. I will definitely recommend this place!

I went to Aqua spa in June to treat myself with nice facial massage. My appointment was 3:30pm. I arrivd 10 mins early but didnt recieve any service until 3:55pm. They take credit card # when appointments are made to make sure clients are on time and also charge clients for being late, but what clients get for being delayed??? I was getting aqua facial which is 60 mins. I checked time when i go in and out of the massage room because i’ve read another review they don’t keep the time very well and charge full price. Of course, I was finished after 50 mins. The esthetician was late because she was giving extra service to the other client before me, and she was trying to catch up by spending less time for me. After I complained about delayed service and shorter massage time at the front desk, The esthetician came out and explained«I upgraded service even though the time was shorter.» It doesn’t make sense to me. I didn’t ask for upgraded service for shorter time and charging me the same price. It was just a shame excuse with ettitude. At the end, I recieved $ 10 discount which i thought is fare fore being delayed and getting less service.
when i check out, I wrote $ 5 tip on my card bill, but they took out $ 9 for tip when i checked with my credit card statement. Their defense is my hand writing. I dont understand how 5 could turn into 9??? My overall expreinceat Aqua spa was very unfavorable. I wasted time and money and recieved poor service. I don’t recommend anyone to go there to waste their time and money for such a rip off!

Sweet sweet ladies. Lauren did my yummy relaxing spa pedi and Lisa did an amazing facial. Great services, nicely priced, lovely ambiance. Well worth the trip and would highly recommend their quality services!
