Very good! Ok they don’t have the grills at the table, but the food was outstanding! The Korean beer was great and our waiter was really funny, kept is us on our toes. I know I’ll have difficulty straying from the Ribs(bal gi), as I return often, but I’d really like to try a lot of the menu. Food quality’s great. Some of the best rice I’ve had and I’m a picky rice eater.

It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside has great appeal. Feels like you’re far away. The food is EXCELLENT. Bulgogi, galbi, kimchi… just everything is absolutely excellent. Perfect service as well. I love this place.

I would recommend this place. It’s not expensive and I’ve enjoyed all the dishes I’ve had there(but to be fair, I don’t know much about Korean food). They also have karaōke rooms, although I’ve never been. Overall, the ambiance is very nice and it’s a nice quiet place to have good conversation and good food.

My husband and I went here for the first time tonight and had a great experience! The service was wonderful and everyone there was super friendly. I lived in Korea for 4 years as a teenager so I’m familiar with authentic Korean food, I feel the food was slightly less spicy than what you’d find in Korea, but it’s authentic. Next time I’m just going to ask that they make my dish a bit spicier :)

I was craving some Korean food so me, my neighbor and a friend decided to give it a try. We went in on a Saturday night so not to busy. I ordered the Bugogi Box, some mando and a couple of beers. Don’t remember what my friends had but it was really good. The food was done just right! It was definitely on the pricey side though($ 98.00 bucks!) but we left very full and happy. Seems to be the only Real Korean food in Augusta as far as I know. I can say I will be back if I get a craving again for some Korean food. Its a place I would take my wife on a date. Server was very friendly and helped with the food choices. Overall a very good place to eat.

I came here with several of my colleagues from Korea. They were looking to have their fix of Korean food as most visitors from Korea crave. We stumbled upon this Korean restaurant which was close to our hotel, open fairly late(10pm is pretty late for the area where most places close at 9pm) and had good reviews on here. The menu looked very authentic and the décor matched my expectations of a Korean bbq restaurant. We ordered a good range of dishes from Kim chi jji gae to Dwe Ji bulgogi. The food came out and smelled good but you can totally tell that it was Americanized. The food was delicious and if I’ve never been to a Korean restaurant before, my craving would have been satisfied. If you’re looking for a more authentic Korean restaurant, you may want to search for another place. If you are in the area, which we are since it’s only a 5 min drive from our hotel, I’m satisfied to frequent this place again

I had a pretty good experience here. Came in on a Saturday evening, got a table for three right away, and the staff was friendly and welcoming as we gave our orders. The bulgogi I ordered was very good. There was enough for a hearty meal. The meals we ordered came with several side dishes, including kimchi of course, that we shared between the three of us. Although karaōke isn’t my thing, I thought it was pretty cool they have a whole space dedicated to those that are.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The service was great. They kept our glasses filled and our food was served in a timely manner. I ordered the bulgogi box, which was smart. I wanted to try as much as possible to get a feel for the restaurant. The box included the bulgogi, rice, noodles, chicken wings, dumplings, and a salad for around $ 13. The sides were fresh and they were refillable throughout the meal. The pricing was fair and comparable to most Korean restaurants I’ve eaten at.

Stopped in really late one night after a movie and the wait staff was exceptionally friendly despite us keeping them there a little late. The bulgogi was really tasty. Will definitely eat there again!

I love this place! There is always a pretty large group of us that frequent this restaurant, not only for the food, but for the karaōke rooms as well. The staff are always very accommodating to us when we visit. They stay open a little later so that we can karaōke and the food is pretty amazing. You can’t go wrong with bulgogi and karaōke.

Great korean food. Has about every dish i could possibly want. It is a bit pricey but the serving size is good and the sides are plentiful. Atmosphere and décor could be better but the staff are great. If you are new to korean food, try the kalbi/galbi box plate, has a bit of several things, all delicious.

My parents and I had a great experience at the Emashiya Korean BBQ. This restaurant has so much to offer. The restaurant is very dimmed, yet opened. The décor is very simple. We walk through the spacious dining room and next door, you’ll find Emashiya’s private karaōke rooms(highly recommend reservations). The smaller rooms host parties for four to eight people. The large room with a long table holds a capacity up to 25+ and has a pool table. We walked in and was seated right away. Our server was patient with our questions, but had to grab a manager for other inquiries on the menu. She was very friendly and helpful. We ordered: Bulgogi-Korean Grilled marinated beef Samgyeopsal– Grilled marinated pork belly(with a flavorful spicy kick) Chap Chae– Korean Noodles with Beef and Vegetables Korean Shrimp Rice For drinks we got waters, however I wanted a shot of Soju which is a korean vodka. So smooth!!! We got our meals and with that you hot steamed white rice and also six banchan(small portions) which are dishes of pickled cucumber, bean sprouts, spicy daikon(radish), a cold potato salad, kimchi(a fermented cabbage and vegetable slaw, which can be very hot; Emashiya’s was only mildly spicy to my taste, but was the spiciest of the banchan) and a type of tangy and sweet vegetable root, and tiny salty fish and other unusual vegetables. My favorite out of all of them was the bean sprouts, potato salad and kimchi. I had to ask for seconds. All were super delicious which had great taste(not bland) and hot/fresh. The spices were down to a T!!! I have to rave about the Samgyeopsal! Pork Belly was super amazing(spicy)! My parents really enjoyed their meals. Their favorites was the Chap Chae. There was a button on your table which you ring if you need any extra banchan portions or anything else. We received good service! I highly recommend coming here! Pricing is reasonable. Located between Columbia and Washington Road.

bad service and it takes too much time waiting for food. I can’t believe they asked my mom’s ID and she is over 60. I didn’t get when so many waiter but when I called someone, they run into the kitchen… they grilled the pork charcoal. when I ask for side dishes, they didn’t bring it out. We ordered seafood tofu soup but they brought only tofu soup and when I asked, they still sure it was seafood in there. the food was suck. At last, it’s not deserve with the prices. 17 $ for a small bowl soup with 2 small grilled pork… never come back. thanks. P/S: We have to wait 20 minutes and still waiting for the check. omg!!! :(

Korean food in Augusta… you don’t say. Emashiya is a large, no-décor, no thrills kind of Korean restaurant in a basically deserted small shopping center. They have some crazy sign on the front of the restaurant that doesn’t say Emashiya, but something like«Where. Here. KOREANBBQ». Hilarious. They have rooms for Karaōke… and people were eating a dinner and karaoking — strange. Prices of Korean food in Augusta are about as much as that, if not more, in New York City. I find that a bit ridiculous, but Korean food is always more expensive for some reason. There’s not much of an atmosphere and the lighting is pretty crappy… it’s dim, but not for mood lighting — the lighting just sucks. Service — because there was some large party in the karaōke rooms, service was pretty slow. I had to ask for the ban chan to be brought out. I don’t think a single Korean person works in the front… maybe in the kitchen. However, the waitresses were all really sweet and our water was always full. They were always accommodating to our needs. Also, as with most Korean places, you can always press the handy dandy button at your table(we tested it, and it works) for service. Ban chan(aka the free little dishes) — refillable. We went through 3 rounds of these. Tasty and quite authentic, I’d say. Kimchi jjigae — delicious. On par with some of my favorite places in NYC. Only complaint was the pork was too dry. Pork belly would have been better instead of the leaner meat. Ja jang myun(black bean noodles) — too much sauce and not enough noodles. The black bean sauce was good, but I’ve had better elsewhere. Chicken wings — these seemed to be grilled with a sweet marinade instead of the crispy soy wings I thought«Korean» chicken wings were. These were good, but not what I was expecting. The others at the tabled liked them. LA Galbi — Holy $ 18 for a small hot fajita plate of marinated short ribs. These were cooked and marinated nicely, but definitely on the pricey side. Beef bibimbap in a stone pot — you can choose to have it regular(cold, steel dish) or in a stone pot that comes out sizzling. I like the stone pot better because of the crispy rice around the edges of the bowl. The pork was not marinated enough in my opinion and the pieces were so small you could hardly taste that there was beef in the dish. Otherwise, good filler item for those still hungry. Decent place for Korean food in Augusta. Not sure how the Karaōke rooms are. 3.5 stars.

Really great service! I’ve been twice. The first time I had a soup which was awesome! The second time I had the bulgogi, but it was only alright. I’ll try it again because it is the best Korean food I’ve had in Augusta, but hopefully it’s better the third time…

One of my favorite places in town. I pretty much get 1 of 2 dishes every time: the spicy pork bulgogi and white rice or the spicy pork bulgogi box. Either dish will give you a generous portion enough for 2 – 3 meals. Always hits the spot when I’m craving some greasy, spicy mountain of meat and rice! Service is great. I’ve gone there enough to where the staff knows my orders. I’ve even gotten it as take out a few times. I’ve also used their 3 karaōke rooms multiple times as well and the group always has a hoot!

AMBIENCE — B+ SERVICE — A FOOD — A PRICE — A It’s been a while since I’ve been back to this place, but friends were talking highly about it. So, just had to give another chance… I’m glad I did as I would eat here again if the experience was what I had this night on June 11, 2013 for dinner with 3 friends. AMBIENCE — B+ — the place looks and feels clean… just hodge podge of odd gold wallpapers with asian decorations and the ‘forest” banquet room… let’s just say — interesting décor. SERVICE — A The Amerasian(owners daughter) server was very friendly and knew the menu and was great at recommendations. Attentive and refilled kimchee multiple times with a smile. FOOD — A One friend ordered a «Bulgoki(korean beef) Box Deal — so, we didn’t get to share with him — that was unfortunate on his part as we didn’t let him share with our dishes… but he said his was good.) Anyway, my other friend and I shared the Squid and Hot Pot Rice dish… Spicy squid. Tender pieces squid on a hot plate — with tastings of Spicy and sweet notes mixed wtih stir fried onions. Nice, if you like tender squid… however, as it sits and cooks more on the hot plate — the squid does toughen… so, go ahead and scoop a big spoon on to your bowl. And Dohl soht — the Hot pot bee bim bop. Delicious! and you are WARNED — «the pot is HOT!» As I accidentally touched the edge of the bowl … Be careful!!! Kimchee was perfectly fresh tasting. We had 6 varied homemade kimchee… this can change daily depending on what the cook makes. Delicious and fresh tasting! PRICE — A Good deal. The pricing is between $ 10 — $ 20 range for most dinner plates, however, definitely worth the price as you get the«all you can eat» — Kim chee!
