Has no handicap parking. This is terrible and impossible for my 94 year old father ever to go back. I have wrote a letter to the state and hoping this major problem will be fixed soon. The food was very good until Wings changed the bread supplier. The new bread is very heavy with no taste. Expect a very long wait for your food to arrive to your table.

New find! Had a great time with my grandson. Quaint, small but cozy, very clean and greeted with a smile. Well that’s a great start… it gets better! The menu had great selections, prices were ridiculously good and tip it off with the food tasted great! For sure I will be telling my friends, family and all of you Unilocal readers about this place. Planes take off and land, so fun for the kids. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend you check it out, keep in mind it’s not fancy but it is a treat. Enjoy!

Close to the stunning Van Howd gallery and fabulous bird sanctuary AND The Ridge golf course, Wings has a friendly, well-trained staff greeting me by name and the service is prompt and I love the tuna melt, gardenburger and the diner-style breakfast along with robust coffee. Love eating outdoors under the umbrellas and plane/people watching.

About a dozen of us motor scooter enthusiasts rode up on back roads to the airport from Sacramento and had lunch. Good coffee, fresh fruit, and for me, I enjoyed the one-third lb burger on a French roll. Outside seating is along the airport tarmac and we watched the airplanes take off and land.

We flew in on A Saturday for lunch and the Jordan melt(burger on sourdough) was awesome! No ketchup or mustard required! Sandra had the Zach’s melt which is turkey and it was amazing! Didn’t wait long — 10 minutes and service and food delivery was quick! Very friendly staff and great little airport atmosphere. Very quaint little place. We will be back to try breakfast

I went here with my family for breakfast on Sunday. We got there early and so it was not too busy yet(just after 8am). The staff was very accommodating and got all ten of us seating within a minute. I had the loaded Chicken Fried Steak, which is something I always get if i see it on the menu because it is one of my favorite breakfast items. Well, it was spectacular! Especially with the cheese, peppers and onions on top! They gravy is also quite good. It was a great experience and fun to watch the aircraft land and take off. My 2 and 4 year olds loved it. I will be back for more!

Good Food, Good Coffee, Great Location. Bring Company. I’ve been blessed in life being around the aircraft and aerospace industries since before I was born. An ancestor died in a 1932 experimental aircraft crash, his grandson had extensive aeronautic industry experience. My father went from punk with no future to a future Space Shuttle engineer setting rivets inside the fuel tanks of Lockheed Constellations. I spent many hours at air shows. A father figure owned several aircraft and tried to get me to earn my license. I’ve been a passenger in small planes, put in hundreds of helicopter hours and had my derrier carted all over the world by commercial jets. I’ve flown with a pilot with thousands of hours beneath his wings who landed a light plane in a 45 mile per hour cross-wind on a near-freezing rainy winter day. I hung out with a man the San Carlos Apaches named«Iron Eagle» who didn’t pre-flight correctly and neglected to find the spider webs keeping his air speed pitot tube protector shut. Another day his flight instructor neglected the carb heat as they approached an Arizona landing strip in freezing air temps. A frosted carburetor, loss of power and a bouncing landing down a boulder-strewn, cactus-studded 45 degree slope at the south end of the runway ended that Cessna 132. A blessing that was for Iron Eagle. A man not intended for the skies. He lives today. Auburn has a very interesting airport, attracting craft and pilots both ancient and modern, hosting fly-in events that are second to none. This is the restaurant feeding the flying and aircraft observing crowd. It does that very well. Pilots can be a demanding bunch, especially retired fighter and test pilots. They want quality keeping them in the sky. There are no Iron Eagles among them. They like good chow. A brother brought us up here for breakfast. He loves aircraft more than I, and is another fan of good chow and well-brewed coffee. The openness of airfields and views of finely crafted aluminum, magnesium, steel and rubber lifts my heart. The sound of a rotary 12 will always lift my eyes to the sky. This is good airspace serving good meals.

Cozy, Quite & Quaint. The family and I flew into Auburn on September 28, 2014 to meet up with some other aviators and their families for brunch. After landing a parking the plane, we made our way inside and were immediately greeted by the friendly and very accommodating wait staff. After a few moments of juggling tables and patrons to accommodate our group, we sat down to look over the menu. Most of the group decided on breakfast while the rest went with lunch. Speaking of their lunch. I was told lunch didn’t official start until after 1100 am, after they start up their deep fryers . I stuck with the simple. A cheddar and mushroom omelet with country potatoes and sour dough muffin. The meal was very decent in respect to portions and the taste was better than the average airport kitchen food. The over the top deciding factors for me this day were the restaurant itself and the wait staff. I love nothing. More than a small, quite and quaint place to eat. Especially one that’s decked out in old stoves, coffee pots and other relics of the past. I also love a great and attentive wait staff. Never having to ask for something is winner in my book.

This is such a cool little place and unless you know it’s here at the Auburn Airport, you’d never think to come here! It’s a small little restaurant right on the property of Auburn Airport and they serve diner-type breakfast and lunch food — classic American breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Price is cheap and service was so great. It has a family feel to the place and the servers were warm and welcoming. I had the waffles and it was really delicious. My husband had their omelette and that was great too! The only downside is that it doesn’t accept credit cards, so make sure you bring cash!

Went here to lunch with a local colleague as it was close to where we were working. He had been here before so I asked what he recommended and he advised the burgers were good. I asked how they usually cooked them and he stated medium. So to combat the likely overcooking, I ordered the ½ pound burger as opposed to the standard 1⁄3 pound burgers and asked for it medium rare. I picked the french roll option on advice of the waitress, without stopping to wonder why a french roll was offered for a burger. So the burger comes out and as the waitress is setting it down she is already offering to get it recooked. I am looking at and wondering what is the deal as it appears like a burger and a half are in the bun. The whole burger is medium well and the half burger is well done. So I send it back and it comes back a few minutes later with 3 half burgers. It’s more or less cooked the same and she offers to do it again, but at this point I am ready to be on with our day, so I eat it anyway. Although 1⁄3 + ½*1/3 = ½, I never would imagine that a half pound burger would consist of 1 ½ regular burgers. Apparently their burgers all come as 1⁄3 pound frozen patties and they have them piled on the grill in batches cooking too long. Then to melt the cheese, they cook them some more. The even more striking thing was that the waitresses seemed to think this was as normal as the sun rising in the east each morning. The salad offered as a side instead of fries was decent enough but the blue cheese dressing provided was the wateriest blue cheese dressing I have ever experienced. I really hope I can find a better place next time I have to go back to Auburn.

This is such a gem of an establishment and it’s right here in little ol’ Auburn. Comfy indoor/outdoor seating with the view of the planes coming and going. And what an enjoyable atmosphere. From the servers to the patrons, all there was to see was smiles. Our server kept the coffee coming at a perfect pace, minimal wait for food and it was tasty and filling. I can’t wait to come back for lunch and also to try their espresso bar. Note-they accept cash or check only, but there is an ATM right next to the register to get cash if needed. Really a fine way to spend time with friendly folks and scrumptious grub!

Flew in to have lunch and hang out with some friends. This is a very popular fly-in restaurant especially on weekends when the weather is nice. I know they are open for breakfast and lunch on weekends, but I’m not sure if they are open for breakfast during the week… so call ahead and check. Burgers here are pretty descent and the service is usually pretty good too! Friendly staff do their best to keep things moving even when it gets super busy… nice job everyone. Outside seating is also available. I’ll be back… I guarantee it!
