We have ordered pizza from here twice to get delivered to our house. We said«delivery» when we called, provided our address, and provided or credit card information(and were charged) and both times they never showed up. After we called to see where it was, they told us we said«pickup» when we ordered(funny that they would ask your address and charge your credit card over the phone if you were just going to pick it up anyway). Regardless, it was really fun feeding our kids cold pizza after bedtime. I’m glad they did nothing for us as an apology since we will never order from them again anyway. Auburn Town pizza will ACTUALLY bring us our pizza in half the time.

Travelin for work. Had a pizza delivered. Not great. Average pizza. Ordered pineapple and bacon. Canned pineapple and big greasy slices of bacon on it. Delivery was fast but pizza arrived cold.

Always loved papa Gino’s! Their thin slice is the closest I can get to New York pizza. Either delivery or pickup, they’re always on point and on time

Would give no stars if possible. Super gross food that smelled and tasted of old freezer. How is this place still in business?

The Pizzas were delicious and we didn’t have to wait long for them. Service was very polite and friendly as well. Five stars from my side, got nothing to complain about.

My boyfriend and I were in the area so we decided to stop by Papa Gino’s in Auburn and we ordered a pepperoni pizza with some breadsticks. The manager, Richie, brought our breadsticks over and then said our pizza would be out shortly. He told us that our pizza had burnt so he gave us half of the pizza that wasn’t so bad and made us a new one to go. He was so nice, we will be back again.

The pizza was okay. Nothing to write home about but edible. Staff was friendly. My kids drinks were left out and I had to go back for them. We did take out so I cannot give feed back for the inside of the restaurant however it looked clean from what I was able to observe.

Typical Pap Gino’s. Same menu, etc. The staff here is a cut above what I have experienced though. They are friendly and go the extra mile. Good quick lunch while on the road.

THISLOCATIONNEEDSBETTERQUALITYCONTROL. I give up on finding good food in Auburn. Now, I just want acceptable … and I’m still not finding it. I will admit that I do tend to be a bit snobby in my restaurant choices but am not the type who doesn’t appreciate a good, old fashioned family pizza place. To date, I am out of options in a town that is actually full of restaurants. I figured Papa Ginos is a corporate owned franchise company, which is normally a no-no on my ‘go to list’. I would rather give my business to a locally owned family business. But, given that I’ve tried them all in Auburn and they have failed miserably … I figured at the very least Papa Ginos is New England owned and sort of local, so I’d go for it. I will say I love Papa Ginos pizza on the whole. It is more expensive than your average pizza joint but the quality and taste is usually better. I’d rather pay the $ 3 — $ 5 more for pizza and $ 2 — $ 3 more for subs if they will be quality. And Papa Gino’s usually is of good quality. If you havent had the pizza here, I think you will be fairly amazed. This isn’t Dominos or Papa Johns. If you had this pizza in Italy, you’d be impressed.(trust me I’ve lived there) The Auburn location has no quality control and out of every Papa Gino’s I’ve been to … the pizzas and sandwiches here are the worst. The sandwiches are bland and tasteless. I’ve got tuna fish before where I couldn’t even tell what I was eating. It had zero seasoning. As if someone had used a magic vacume cleaner to suck the taste out of the sandwich. Only at this location. The ‘fresh baked bread’ is another Papa Ginos trademark that is ruined at the Auburn location. The bread tastes old and crumbled compared to the fresh chewy type of bread you normally get on subs. Fresh bread(especially the normally amazing chewy artesean style bread Papa Ginos normally has) is key to a good sandwich. You can’t have stale or frozen bread and expect the sandwiches will be good. Everytime I order pizza here, it NEVER has enough cheese on it … and ALWAYS has those annoying huge air bubbles in it. The shape of the pizza is rarely round. Normally, when I go to a good Papa Ginos, the toppings are spread evenly and taste somewhat fresh. At the Auburn one, a lot of places don’t have sauce or cheese … there are big topping holes and for $ 2 per topping on a large pizza, they really don’t put much on. I ordered green peppers on my pizza and for $ 2 there were maybe 8 small pieces of green pepper. The pizzas are a bit smaller than your averae pizza. They are thin(ner) crust but not cracker crisp or charred. The sauce is the real standout. It is not sweet sugar based red sauce but you can actually taste and see real pieces of tomato. Shame that there is bearly enough sauce put on. The cheese tastes like a more expensive cheese but is always amazingly greasy. I always dab the grease off with a napkin because this is seriously some of the greasiest pizza you will have. The downside is that they use around half the cheese of most other places. The pizza is overdone half the time I go to this Auburn location and the pizza isn’t fantastic. On the days where they get it right(which are few at this location) … its the best chain pizza you will find in New England. Seems like this restaurant has a small crew working each time I go in … so many hiring some more people would be a good start. Also, it is a very young staff(mostly kids) and I never see any adults on staff. Maybe they need to hire an adult worker/manager to keep watch on the quality control. This place would absolutely clean up in a town like Auburn with so many bad local joints … but its always empty because it is so much more expensive than the local joints but the quality is never there. For those who go here and hate it, try going to a Papa Ginos in another town and you’ll get a whole different experience. I kind of miss the good old days with checkered tableclothes and cheesy Italy murals on the wall at Papa Ginos … now it looks like the lobby of a cheap chain hotel … they tried to go European with orange glass hanging sconces and sleeker colors … but it took all the warmth and ‘local joint’ out of the chain. If you are going to go here frequently, make sure to get a free rewards card for discounts.

I don’t really like chain pizza joints. Keeping in mind that I come from the land of pizza(New Haven) and living at the Jersey shore for years — I know what good pizza is. It has been an ongoing quest to find a decent pie since my arrival in Auburn. My searches have turned up little and I almost found a good one at Enrico’s in Sturbridge. About three months ago, I didn’t want to cook on this particular night and the kids said to just order pizza from Pappa Ginos because of the special they were running. How bad could it be? I was surprised! It actually tasted pretty good. It was a good size, the sauce was the right sauce, enough cheese and the crust was crispy. How could this be? This reminded me of the pies back in Connecticut! YEA! Three stars because I have had better, but this is pretty darn good. Hubs loves the sausage, kids love the pepperoni and no skimping on the toppings here. Winner, winner, pizza dinner! and this folks is where I have been buying my pies. I mention to the kids, anyone want Pappa Gino’s? YEEEESSSSSSSS!

MAYBE2 stars for quality, but for the price you pay, it’s definitely a 1. If you’re staying in Auburn, please try the other pizza joints in town before this one. Low grade ingredients, not cut well at all, way too expensive for the quality. Maybe it’s true that MA people don’t know what good pizza is, but I can promise you this ain’t it. Bearable, but definitely not recommended.

The food is always hot and good in my experience. ALso the wait time isnt too bad for your order. They give the kids, if u buy a kids meal little crayons and a thing to color, so that keeps my 3 year old busy for a little bit. They could use a new line up for thier music selection, as it is always the same songs when I go, other than that its a good place for some quick food to grab. :)

To be honest, this was not our first choice for lunch today, but our first choice was closed(a story for another time). Looking for something on the quick side due to time constraints this is where we ended up. The place was extremely clean and not that busy when we arrived at about two pm. Our order taker was very friendly but obviously brand new as she needed some help a few times to place our order. Not her fault but someone probably should have been with her as she wasn’t quite ready to fly solo. Mama B and Baby B each enjoyed pizza while I opted for chicken parm platter. We also split an order of Mozzarella sticks. Everyone left happy tummies and no complaints. While I still prefer a mom and pop pizza parlor, Papa Ginos always provides a good experience consistently, no matter which location I end up at.
