We have tried brisket phở, bbq duck banh mi, bbq pork banh mi, and the steak and mushroom banh mi. I would say that this place was just ok… the broth tasted different than other places. It was almost like they had added hoisin sauce in it prior to serving it. The sandwiches would have been way better if there was more meat. It was ridiculous how little of meat there was. Other than that, the sauce and vegetables tasted fine. Overall, I might come here again but only if I’m craving phở late at night. It seems that this is one of the few places open later than everywhere else in the area. If it’s earlier in the day I’d rather just go to joy phở. Better service and better phở compared to this place

No flavor, terrible value. 7.75 for a medium bowl of mediocre broth, and 7 or 8 little pieces of meat. Spring rolls were just lettuce and noodles, no mint, cilantro, basil or anything with flavor. Only stopped here because hubby said he remembers it was good like 5 years ago. Hmmmm. Should’ve kept driving.

This place has an exception menu with delicious food! I love their vegetarian Saigon Crêpe and their Steak Phở(with extra steak). I also love their FRESH avocado Bubble Tea! Their service is fast and friendly! The take-out is especially fast! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants some yummy food with hearty meat options or delicious vegetarian and seafood meals. Everything is fresh and scrumptious!

My family’s favorite phở shop! It would be nice to see them get more business. The contruction on their road during the summer seems to have lessened the visits of their regulars. When they are in full swing, they are well stocked and on point. Naturally, food availability lessens when there is not enough demand.

The best vegetarian phở ever! My husband stops every time he’s in town and just brought me for the first time. If you’re vegetarian or vegan this is a must stop!

Big vegetarian and vegan menu! I ordered the faux bbq vermicelli bowl, and it was delicious! It looked kinda scary because of all the red dye on the«meat», but I got over that after tasting it. :) I held back one star because my waiter wasn’t very friendly — he may have been overwhelmed, looks like they need more staff.

i wish i could give this place more than 3 stars. I really do. The service, restroom and appetizers really made the experience. My husband and I wanted our usual Sunday phở but by it being Mother’s Day, we were limited and didn’t feel like driving to CT. Time to try a new phở place. King of Phở is located on Auburn Way if you are on your way to Mukleshoot. It gets plenty of traffic so I can see why people would initially stop there. My husband and I ordered a Vietnamese Coffee which I am obviously obsessed with and an order of grilled pork spring rolls and egg rolls. The appetizers come out pretty fast. First glance is that everything looks pretty good. I ordered extra fish sauce so I can pepper it with hotsauce. The fish sauce was a little too sweet for my taste but the egg rolls and spring rolls were really good. Rolled tight and filled with good ingredients. Next up the phở. No particular smells with means that broth is going to be clear. Ok. I ordered the rare and flank and the hubby ordered the rare and brisket. Overall, the phở was ok. It needed that saltiness of the fish sauce and/or some salt. No salt was on the table and well the fish sauce was sweet so I didn’t have anything to make the broth«better.» The meat, noodles and veggies were decent just not enough to make me crave it. We might come back to try the shake shake beef(popular item here) and the appetizers and still search for good Phở in the South Suburbs.

King of Wat?! Phở I don’t think so. I’m here debating outside of their phở, they r a 5 star. anything but phở. — They have good grilled pork spring rolls — Good egg rolls — Decent iced coffee — EXCELLENT service but their phở broth had only beef flavor. a good phở broth is supposed 2 have the taste of the different traditional ingredients that go in it. brisket tasted like roast beef. their phở I would give a 3 out of 5 should I b hard on them since they have phở as part of their restaurant name n b/c of that, give them an overall 3 star? No, I’ll give them a 4 b/c they should b called, «King of Vietnamese Appetizers» n everything else is good

You’ve heard of the expression«A smile goes a long way» right?! Well this place was definitely short on smiles and words! So if you are coming here just for the food and don’t mind the lack of customer service you should be fine. I only came here yesterday because I was short on time and wanted to try out a phở place I’ve never gone to in my neighborhood. I saw the reviews and of how people were not happy about their service, but I had to see for myself. Well this is the case I should’ve trusted the reviews because it’s all true. Upon arriving inside the establishment normally the waiter or waitress would come to your table and hand you a menu. Not in this case he handed it to us as we were passing by the front counter in search for our own place to sit. There was no sign that I saw stating whether you had to wait before being seated so I was a little confused. The décor was okay, I can’t really complain much for a small growing restaurant. This place was situated good in a great place that should attract lots of customers and their parking was adequate, but unfortunately I know why there is a lack of customers coming here and that is because of the customer service. Aside from the bad service once we got our food, which we both ordered the grilled pork vermicelli salad bowls. It actually tasted really good and the noodle was still soft and not hard. Other places I’ve been too the noodles were hard like pop rocks and soggy like cereal sitting in milk for hours and the grilled pork was grilled to perfection. So I have to give them credit for the food that’s why I only gave them two stars and that I got to enjoy my food without any fly interruptions! A phở place without flies is always a plus. Anyways, we enjoyed our meal and through that whole time we were there no one came to ask us how the food was like or if we needed anything further there was just lack of smiles and no friendly conversation. It looks like he had his regulars that he was more nicer to then any newbies coming into the place, which is sad because every upcoming restaurant should try and get new customers as well as keep old ones. Well we finally finished our food it tasted good, but it could’ve been better if we had a few smiles to go along with it. So I paid at the counter he just told me the total said one short«thank you» and that was it. He pretty much did not seem interested in how we enjoyed the food or said anything further that would been inviting for us to come back. After walking out of this place it made me feel sad. I never had a sad feeling like this ever upon leaving a restaurant. I hope I never have that kind of feeling anymore. Note to self the next time I decide to ignore the reviews of others I will remember this place as a reminder. I’m definitely not ever coming back to this place ever.

Worst service ever. I’ve never waited one hour for a bowl of phở. My 11 year old niece is faster than them. They ain’t no king. King of the slowest service. I sat down and ordered my phở before a coupe that walked it and sat down. They happen to get there spring rolls and phở before I did. I am never going here ever again.

Clearly they do not understand customer service. Came in on a quiet Sunday(2 people in dining room) and ordered $ 30 takeout, was handed my bag and left only to find half of the order missing when I got home. Called and was told to come back and get it. Drove all the way back, no one at counter. Waited and waited. Finally gal having conversation in dining asked could she help. Asked for my sandwiches. She pointed to a bag on counter and said, «maybe these?». And then started to walk back into dining room. I said, «really, that’s it? No sorry, no here’s a free phở for another time, nothing?» she said, «I don’t know, I wasn’t here.» wow… Everyone that worked there 20 minutes ago left? And that means you can’t have good customer service? It was my first time here and it was my last time. **update: food was pretty bad. Phở broth bland, our large size came with 3 slices of meat. Sandwiches: BBC pork was crap, lemongrass beef was flavorful but very very skimpy on the meat. ** there are much better Phở restaurants in Auburn.

This place was really disappointing — The service was CRAP, no interest. We had to get up and go ask for water. The phở was bland with no flavor, spring rolls are not recommended. Let me get to the bubble tea, not smooth watery with little ice chunks. They didn’t have mango flavor either they were all out. The worst part however was the service that alone makes it so I will never go back!

The food is delicious. The phở broth is excellent and everything tastes FRESH! The spring rolls are out of this world.(Except for the shrimp one) I usually get the chicken spring rolls. They’re so pretty and delicious! I would have given them 5 stars but their service is pretty poor and the wait time is unusually long. But it is so worth the wait :) sometimes I call in my order ahead of arriving.

I can’t believe how bad the service was here. They ran out of calamari. I had to ask twice for my fiancé’s beverage, three times for mine. Had to ask for the standard plate of bean sprouts, lime, and basil that comes with a bowl of phở at every other restaurant. The pork and egg roll on top of my salad were barely sliced. I couldn’t mix up my salad because of this. The noodles were overcooked. Mediocre food basically. On top of all this, we were sitting next to a half wall. On the other side of the wall was the bathroom. And we were hearing a guy puking his brains out in there. Apparently they have no door to their bathroom! I’m just glad that the guy in there wasn’t taking a loud, stinky crap. How disgusting and unsanitary! That killed our appetites. Don’t waste your money dining here.

wonderful. just top-notch. great family and everything cooked brand new everyday. wonderful phở, love the curry(ok-the truth is that I love the curry when they put sweet potatoes in it – some days they do not) and love their sandwiches. Bun is great and their Saigon pancake(or Vienamese pancake or banh xeo or whatever you want to call it) is fabulous. One of my favorite places in town. And by town, I mean Seattle. Genuinely awesome.

After living in Vietnam for many years, I’m pleased to conclude that this is the most authentic southern Vietnamese cuisine in the area, outside of Seattle. Great Phở, of course, but the bun cha gio(vermicelli with grilled pork & egg roll), and banh xeo(Vietnamese pancake…), are the ones that really shine. Adorable couple runs the place. Service can be slow at times, but definitely worth the wait!

Decent Phở Broth, but«Where’s The Beef!» Seriously, I counted 5 tiny thin pieces of steak and two tiny bits of brisket! If the chinchy bowl of Phở wasn’t enough, our waitress was less than attentive as she sat at bar on the phone devouring her extra large bowl of Phở!

Food was good but the service was soooooo slow, and there was several Flys buzzing around. Was hoping for a better experience given it was my dad’s first time trying it.

I walk in it was only one person working it seemed like. He was very short and uninterested in his customers. Then he sits down to eat while the customers we’re eating. One of the guest had to interrupt him while eAting to get more lines NOTOK. He didn’t check in any if his tables after the food was served. The phở is ok it’s ok. So if your in the area and want some phở this might be a good place to come if you don’t care about service or needing anything after your food.

This is a Phở place obviously. It appears to be a one man operation — sometimes he has a helper — but usually when I come — after 7:00PM he is by himself out front. The first time I was there — he had show-times on full blast — with a great sound system and I loved it.(Remember I grew up in NYC and spent a lot of time on Broadway seeing the shows) The extra large bowl is just that extra large and good. The broth is usually strong and tasty and one of the better Phở places around. Service is OK — what I call Asian good — not the American friendly but OK. I usually just get Phở with meatballs(whatever the heck those things are — probably do not want to know) and steak and I leave full — and sloshing — like I said the extra large is extra large.
