Auburn Faith Hospice has gone out of business. Stand Up Placer Thrift Boutique is a nice alternative at 1310 Grass Valley Hwy.

This store is a bit small but the staff is lovely and the selection is good for such a small store. There were several sets of dishes and other housewares. There was a handful of decent kids’ items. The prices were fair but most of the stuff was older, like the kind of things you’d expect to see in your grandparents house. There were almost no books and the clothing section is pretty small.

This used to be the best thrift store in Auburn by far. Great used book selection, lots of kitchen stuff and furniture. Then in late 2012 they moved across town to a shop on 49 that is ¼th the size and they are awful. No books, a couple overpriced chairs, no baby clothes or kids stuff, just a couple pleasant but bored volunteers hanging out. The old store was always full of shoppers but every time I drive any the new store, the parking lot is empty except for folks in the tattoo parlor next door. I guess the local hospice doesn’t need any money because overnight this store went from a must go to a must miss.

I love this place, they are always giving you some kind of discount. I can usually find what I need and more. The ladies are very helpful. Prices are good.

Love it! I can’t drive by without stopping. Employees are friendly, and they have some of the best used merchandise I have found. I go particularly for the furniture. And the sales are AWESOME. Each day they have a different sale, which is just too much fun!

A huge bag of partially used and new crayons for a buck, a big bag of kids books on tape for $ 2 and an awesome Fisher-Price drum set including maracas and a tambourine from the early ‘70s in mint condition for $ 3.50! If you can relate to this elation than you will think this is a great thrift store. If your into retro fabrics, table linens and tableware you’ll also be excited to check this one out.
