Great late-night snacking location, got the pulled pork fries. Capable bar staff with a decent beer selection and good variety with drinks. If you manage to order a drink they don’t know, they’ll still make it for you too

Thursday night trivia is great! Food is okay. It’s basically just bar food. But that’s all you really want when you’re drinking beer and playing trivia.

I’ve been here twice and both times it’s just been below expectations. The food is passable but the restaurant itself just feels grimy. Great place to watch any sports though. They’ve got TV’s everywhere. Service is good and the drinks are cold. BBQ nachos were too salty and the wings were small and the flavors were meh.

It was like a scene out of the show Bar Rescue without Jon Taffer. The food was pretty good, and the wait staff were awesome. With that being said we sat around 8:15 but didn’t get food until close to 10pm. Also, there seemed to be either owners or managers of some sort at the front door welcoming people in and they were a little odd and borderline creepy. Both openly drinking in front of customers and were fairly intoxicated by the time we left. I understand it was a football game day, but there wasn’t really a game day crowd as the game was at 11am.

The food here is actually not as bad as you might expect from its overall vibe. I’ve heard the wings are pretty good, and a lot of their sandwiches aren’t bad. No one is ever there for lunch so it can be kind of depressing, and the service is just all right, but overall not a bad place. I might even call it great during big games.

My favorite bar… you want to be around a more adult crowd this is the place to go in auburn. April, kenny, matt, and Ashley are attentive and fun bartenders that will make you have a good time.

food is good, prices are ok, this one bartender named KENNY is horrible. this guy is super rude and I will not go back because of this guy. Everyone seems to like the manager April. they have an ok selection of craft beer.

I don’t know why I continue to give this place a chance. I guess because it has the best TV setup in the area? It’s certainly not the service, or should I say, lack of service. They have an admirable beer list and a pretty extensive menu, it’s just a shame you can’t get someone to take your order or follow up with you in a timely manner. My most recent experience was waiting for 9 minutes for a server to take our order, even as other servers wandered around avoiding eye contact. When our server did arrive, she asked for drink orders, and I attempted to order food since we were ready. She ignored the food request. We actually began counting, and the number of times the kitchen staff walked out to check the scores outnumbered the times the servers were present in the dining area. I’d say if you’re looking for a game watching scene with beer aplenty, and not in a hurry, then Halftime is worth checking out.

Best sports bar in town. Plenty of craft beer and cheap beer to satisfy the snob and the jock. The only place in Auburn that you can watch any sports team in the USA. The staff is quick to accommodate your sports viewing needs. This is really it’s best quality. The food is uninspired and typical bar food. During football season the wings come out suspiciously fast. Best to order those in the middle of the week. Finally the food is pricy. It’s a great place for sports, beer and selected menu items.

This place lays claim to having consistently the worst service I’ve experienced in auburn. Beer towers are a fun novelty but aren’t necessarily a better deal than pints. Food is pretty average so we usually don’t order any. Last time I was there it smelled strongly of sewage. Trivia is fun. Has potential but needs improvement.

I’ve been coming here for quite some time now. Halftime has a really great atmosphere and the food has had quite the turn around. It tastes fresher and the menu has better options. One thing that drives me nuts is the service. I’ve never had good service here. Once your order is taken, the waitress never returns. I shouldn’t have to go up to the bar to get a refill. Also, the amount of food you get for the price is not great. If I want to pay $ 9 for some nachos, my plate better be loaded up.

— Under New Local Ownership, Much Better!!! This place has really transformed since it first came to Auburn! The new owner has taken this place and transformed it. The servers that were once missing in action? Gone. The food? VASTLY improved. Now it feels like a real sports bar, and is slowly becoming a local favorite. The new owner has also installed specials, which help the local college students at AU afford what was once very pricey bar fare. And the menu is finally full of food that’s worth coming in to watch a game with. In fact, these are the best wings I’ve had in Auburn thus far. The old wings were easily discernible as frozen, probably from a bag. But man, NOT these new ones! The boneless variety, for example, are now hand-battered. The sauce? Fantastic. Not too mild that you miss the kick, but not too spicy that it kicks your teeth in. If you’ve had bad experiences here before, come back. Try the new menu, drink the new beers. It’s worth it… Granted, there’s still a problem occasionally with long wait times, but overall it’s now a respectable sports bar that’s found its place amongst the other restaurants & bars of downtown Auburn. ~~~ Happy eating everybody! :)

Halftime has improved DRASTICALLY in the last couple of months. In case you were unaware, Halftime is under new management and was purchased by the owner/chef of Zazu. The Quality of the food is much better, and they have a new menu that probably does not have as much frozen food on the menu. Same burger blend as Zazu, and probably the best downtown besides The Hound. Lots of TV’s and in a good location downtown, I really hope the food stays consistent. My only complaint was the service last time, seemed like they were disinterested in their jobs and not exactly friendly. Great place to watch a game, definitely preferred over Locos.

This place is centrally located on College Street near Toomer’s Corner. That will immediately make it a go-to place to grab«sports bar» food. In fact, every time I am in Auburn, this is where I take folks for wings. The three star description of «A-Ok» is very accurate. The food here will quench your craving for whatever unhealthy food is on your mind. For me, it’s always wings and fries. I can’t complain about the food, but I also can’t rave about it. I can tell you that the servers have always been good. The first time I was there, there was a wait for some inexplicable reason. There were only a hand full of tables seated, but we still had to wait for a bit. When I want wings, I will go back… unless someone suggest a better place.

Stopped in for lunch and came away impressed. The wings were really good, and the trio tacos were fresh and hot.(Shrimp, chicken and steak) Added fresh guacamole and you could tell they just pitted an avocado.(That fresh) My son yelled“I love this chicken” at least three times referring to the homemade chicken tenders. I then ate half of my wife’s hamburger for dinner that she brought home and it tasted like I just pulled it off my grill. Really unique and homemade flavor. Waitress was new but really attentive and nice to everyone. Projection TV was a waste, since its so huge and blown out, but there are other TVs for sports.

The short story: The food never arrived. The longer version: We decided to eat here before the A-Day game. I hadn’t been back to Auburn in a while so I wasn’t familiar with Halftime, but we decided to eat there since there was not a line out the door.(Now I know why!) We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken with no problems. Those were the only things that went smoothly. After waiting for probably 20 minutes for a menu I finally had to go find some myself. We ordered about 10 minutes later. I guess the waitress didn’t even realize she had never given us a menu. After a while we began to notice that everyone around us(even those that came after us) were getting their orders, eating, paying, and leaving. Other groups of people came and the process was repeated. During this time we were never even asked if we would like a refill. After this happened a few times we asked what happened to our missing food and were assured that it would be coming soon. Again, we waited and waited. After more than an hour we just left some money on the table to cover the drinks and left.

We came here on a game day. I understand it’s a game day so the restaurant was crowded. The waitress who was in charge of greeting people and putting them on the waiting list for a table was incredibly rude. We walked in and she didn’t even look at us. She was staring out the window twirling her hair. We asked her how long it would be to be seated. She said there was no available tables while still staring out the window twirling her hair. She didn’t ask if we wanted to wait or anything. Then, we asked her how long the wait would be and she just ignored us. I’m pretty sure she never made eye contact with us once.
