Beautiful scenery and a great set up. The crepes were lovely and in all the restaurant was a great experience

We came here the first time after we dropped our son off at College. We were emotional wrecks and were looking for a great breakfast place and a little distraction — I was a little nervous about ‘the crepes’ as my only past experience was as a soggy and bland dessert option, but we decided to come here based on the great reviews on Unilocal. Now visiting said son this weekend and couldnt wait to go back! I had exactly the same thing as before… the Florentine Breakfast Crêpe with ham, a Pig in a Blanket and we all split the Apple Sizzle crêpe [which is the yummiest dessert I have ever had] — way too much food as the crêpe meals are large enough, but when we find good fresh food we like to sample different options Staff super friendly and ambience ‘college casual’ perfect for all ages and larger groups. Combined with the nursery and produce market, this is definately an Auburn destination…

Food is really good, but a little over priced. I recommend the greek chicken panini or the mexican breakfast crêpe. Dont order any of the crepes as a salad because they dont actually give you a real salad, they just put all the toppings from the crêpe onto a plate. Mine had barely any lettuce and was served on a very small square plate that you would serve a pastry on. Some of the employees are rude. I was very rudely told«I cant see your table if you dont put your card up» when the food was brought to the table. I have gone here on multiple occasions and eaten inside, and many times I have noticed there is a fly problem. They need some sort of pest control. I understand it is in the middle of a plant nursery but still not an excuse for bugs. The location of the bathrooms is a little gross. There right next to where you order the food. Someone had a VERY bad smelling bowel movement and the entire area where you order smelled so bad that I wanted to vomit when ordering my food. BUT for the most part, the ingredients they use are pretty high quality and the food is good.

We had the sweet heart crêpe and the green eggs and ham crêpe. Both were delicious. Since our trip to Paris we try to eat at crêpe restaurants when we come across them. They can be disappointing, Crêpe Myrtle was not. I also enjoyed a cinnamon roll and the wife had a pigs-in-a-blanket. They have great coffee flavors to add to your cup of joe. But no free refills on coffee. That’s the only negative. Awesome place to try if your in Auburn.

Delicious savory and sweet crepes! I had eggs and pesto with a side of stuffed squash — delicious. We shared the apple crêpe and cloud 9 for dessert — both were good but Apple was our favorite. Little too much Nutella in the other. Has a cute little market attached for items like local produce, boiled peanuts, hot pepper jelly and more!

I’ll start with the Cons: Wait time was an hour and 20 minutes. Not a very big place. Yes, there was a constant line. Maybe they need to figure out how to do a better job of prioritizing their ticket orders. For the Pros: I got the Roasted Vegetables with Basil(+ grilled chicken), which was really good. Not 1hr, 20 minutes wait good, but good. Suggestion to the owner: Figure out how to process your orders better when you’re busy. It’s amazing food, when people can get to it.

Great little shop with a nature feeling. It sits in the middle of a garden and it offers a fresh market. It offers many different types of crepes. I ordered the steak and blue(without blue) it was still tasty. I also ordered the Nutella crêpe. Definitely eat these warm!

Finally got a chance to eat here and I’m so upset that I hadn’t sooner. The little market just outside of the restaurant is so cute and filled with local produce and artisanal products. I bought some banana chips and their blue cheese pimento cheese to take home with me. For entrees, my boyfriend had the philly crêpe and I had the special panini of the day, which featured turkey, bacon, spinach, and their blue cheese pimento cheese. We also got a side of the stuffed squash. Both entrees were really great. They served my panini with some bread and butter pickles which helped cut the richness. The squash was a little bland. Because lunch was so good, we decided to get some dessert. I got the Caribbean coconut cake which was amazingly moist and full of coconut flavor. My boyfriend got the butter toffee caramel cake which was moist as well, but there was too much cinnamon and it overpowered all of the other flavors. Their coffee is great too. The best part is that they leave out toffee nut and hazelnut syrups to flavor your coffee with at no additional charge. I can’t wait to go back.

This is great spot to slow down and enjoy a meal. We drove past it initially. it’s kind of hidden. Just go to the back of the landscaping place and you will see it. Watch out for cats and chickens as they seem to just wander about. The food was solid, basic, and, tasty. We had crepes and scones. I had the Mexican version. Mine really hit the spot. The coffee was fresh and hot. They have a little station where you can doctor up you coffee with creams and flavors. The service was friendly. I would certainly come back here.

This is my favorite place in Auburn. It’s the perfect place for students to relax on the weekend. My ex and I used to go all the time and got to know some of the ladies who were always around working in the market. They’re super sweet and welcoming, and they’d always say hey and give us a free orange or something. The food is incredible. Incredibly fresh meat, cheese, and vegetables all warm, meaty, and delicious in a soft crêpe. It seems like they get as many of their ingredients on property as possible. We’d always have to get something from their AWESOME homemade dessert counter. Sometimes more than one thing haha. Texas cake, coconut cake… I can’t remember them all. Anyway, their vegetable market is quaint and really well-stocked. I always bring home treats for my family for Christmas: pumpkin butter, organic treats, even a frozen pie. Beautiful produce. Anyway, I don’t think I’ve ever written a review before, but this place is so incredible and they’ve been so kind that I wanted to go out of my way for them.

My favourite little oasis in Auburn. The food is great! I usually always order from the daily special. The crepes are the best. The paninis are good too, but the crepes are the way to go. I will say though, the panini will FILLYOUUP. I can eat a good bit of food, but I could not finish it. The farmers market in the front is very very nice. And we always have a pleasant with the woman at the cashier stand. There’s also something to be said about eating your lunch while there are roosters crowing and walking around. Going here feels like you’re out of Auburn. It was one of the first places we visited when we moved, and not many have beaten it in our books. I highly recommend this to anyone living here. And it’s a great great place to take visitors or out-of-town family to. I’d give if three thumbs up if I had ‘em.

You can’t go wrong with any of the desserts here and the crepes are super yummy! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and it’s very relaxing and peaceful. Sitting outside on the patio to enjoy your treats is so wonderful when the weather is nice and it’s great that there is a little market attached where you can get fresh produce and beautiful plants! I only give four stars, however, because service can be a tad slow.

It’s awesome! It’s delicious! An Auburn hidden treasure! I’m only digging one star cause it really doesn’t have the best business processes to deal with high traffic. But if you go, and I recommend you do, find an off peak time.

I use to live on longleaf, and I would drive past this secluded spot that was filled with gorgeous flowers/plants– I saw the sign for the café, but wasn’t really sure what exactly it was/how to get to the actual café… so I avoided it forever… and that was a huge mistake! The crepes are delicious! I had the Veggie lover crêpe, and they don’t skimp out on the fillings– it was packed with veggies and egg. seriously a perfect breakfast. We wanted to try a sweet crêpe too, so we got the sinful strawberry, and again. absolutely delicious. I had never had crepes prior to this outing, and was pleasantly surprised! My favorite part about this place was the seating area!!! SOFREAKINGADORABLE. I went three times during the Summer so it was always perfect weather to sit outside. I could have sat there all day and just chatted with my friends. You walk through this garden that is adorable, go up to the counter, order whatever you want… go pick a seat, and they bring you your food. I feel like Auburn, last time I was living there at least… didn’t have too many great eating spots– but this one topped the charts with good food and originality!

I haven’t even tried the food yet. The wait is beyond ridiculous. You can get a steak and bleu crêpe from a street vendor in 5 minutes. There is no reason why the wait should be this long.

My sister goes to Auburn and she said we had to check this place out. As we drove up I was sure she had gone the wrong way. I saw some plant nursery workers diligently spraying plants in pots and noticed it looked like an upscale garden center. We parked alongside patrons shopping for flowers and walked through a permanent farmers market with produce and local dry goods. I have to say I honestly didn’t expect such a cool place in Alabama(sorry! judge-y northerner here!) I had never had a crêpe before this visit and I don’t think I“ll ever try a crêpe anywhere else. The crêpe’s were awesome(sweet & savory — something for everyone) and I loved all the choices for tea available. The wait was a little long but it was cool to watch the crepes being made to order. This seemed like one of those«place you bring a date or out-of-town visitors» place. Every time I visit my sister I now insist on going back.

Without a doubt the most unique dining experience that you will find in the Auburn area. The café is located on the beautiful grounds of Blooming Colors Nursery just a few miles off of I85 and a few mile South of downtown. The setting alone is a reason to stop by. I have never experienced such a serene environment to enjoy a meal. I was so taken with the café that I visited no less than four to five times on a seven day trip. It’s a special place that should be in the mix of anyone visiting the area. Once you come onto the grounds you will circle around the back and toward their building that houses fresh produce. Watch out for the chickens, yes they are around and will most likely greet you as you come onto the grounds. You will find parking on the gravel lot in front of the cozy wooden building that houses the Crêpe Myrtle in the back. Once parked, approach the front door of the produce area to enjoy all the offerings in this shop. The brilliant colors of all the variety of fruits and other offerings is quite interesting. They have a lot of specialty items that come from the Auburn area. Some merchandise is sold as well. I saw a few Summer dresses on display. Staff were consistently tending to this area whether stocking, or sweeping the floors. After browsing the produce area make your way to the back of the store to the double red doors that is home to the Crêpe Myrtle Café. A long counter has a case with several side items are made in advance, but of course fresh! The other side has the two wheels where the crepes are made. It’s open for customers to view and children especially love to see this process, heck I thought it was cool too. So one of the wheels warms the crêpe up to a crisp, while the other wheel takes the crisp crêpe where made to order ingredients are added. The staff that runs this area knows what they are doing and does a fantastic job. On each occasion I found the business to be clean, that includes the restrooms. The store also has a lot of specialty items on their shelves. From an assortment of beans, tea, peppers and olives. I can honestly say there was not one item that I recognized by a brand name. It’s wonderful that they embrace local farmers and merchants to bring in only the freshest items to their customers. Many items would make great gift ideas too. There is no seating in the front room, but a small indoor dining room is to the right with three to four tables. Don’t even think about eating inside when you can enjoy your meal outside at one of the tables outside. There are four large tables and two small. I sat out here all but once and love the fact you could people watch those shopping the the produce market. Keep in mind the outdoor area is pet friendly, so feel free to bring the pouch. You will also find resident 22 year old black cat Maya laying around, or a few chickens making the rounds. Once the weather turn cooler in the Winter part of the produce area is utilized for café seating. One draw back to the outside dining is the road traffic noise. Your a lot close to the road than you think. So now let’s talk about the incredible food. I sampled quite a few of the crepes and did post pics of them. I visited them in the morning each time, but keep in mind they have lunch meals too. There are options for sweet desert crepes, breakfast crepes with eggs, or lunch crepes with steak, chicken, or veggies. I was disappointed that I never made it back for their Philly Steak. Out of the meals I had the stand out. was the Veggie Crêpe with upgrade of Italian Steak… phenomena! Several times Ginger came over to provide suggestions and this was one of them that was a home run all the way. My favorite side was the Pig n’ a Blanket side w/spicy mustard dipping sauce. I would say this was so good you cannot come to Crêpe Myrtle without trying one, but that would be difficult to just get one as you will see. This was another suggestion by Ginger. For kids they do have a menu for them too. Over all the staff was great on each visit. They are all trained well and know the products they sell. The food was promptly delivered to the tables and clean up took place when my meal was completed. Don’t blame the staff is it take a little while for the food to come out, especially if busy. Each crêpe is made special order, so if there appears to be a crowd and your in a hurry this is not the place for you. This is not«fast food» folks, nor would you want it to be. On every visit I had the pleasure of chatting up manager Ginger who runs both the Crêpe Myrtle and the produce area. This is one hard working Woman. She is like the Energizer Bunny bouncing from store to store and is actively involved in all aspects of both businesses. I found her to be easy to talk to and completely accommodating when asking for suggestions from the café. I will have fond memories of my morning breakfast crepes at the café and a return visit may not be too far off. Those local to the area… LUCKY!
