Anytime Fitness

I agree with a previous user about this gym being small, but I felt that the amount of workout equipment was excellent. I was always able to do great workouts with the machines or free weights. I also did not have any issues with canceling my membership when I moved. I had a horrible experience trying to cancel with another gym in Denton, but the people at Anytime Fitness were always very nice and helpful.

I lived in the area and was looking for a gym. My wife already had a gym membership here and so I figured I would join as well. The process was easy enough to sign up. However I specifically asked if this was a month to month agreement or a year contract. Which I was told it was a month to month however I would have to give a 30 day notice. About 6 months later we sold our home and moved to a different city. So I tried to contact the club to cancel my service and it was a complete NIGHTMARE!!! I got passed back and forth between the club and the financing company ADC financial the gym uses. Finally the club stated that I had a year membership that I would have to pay a cancelation fee for. I requested a copy of this so called agreement from ADC financial and was told that they do not have record of it on their end. Since I was getting nowhere with this company I just had a stop payment put on my card for this vendor. Now I receive automated collections calls from them weekly. It is true that the cancelation fee is not a a great expense and I debated whether I should just pay it our not. However after further consideration I decided not to. It is the principle of how I was treated, mislead, and harrased. I have had gym memberships at Golds, 24hr fitness, and LA fitness and canceling your membership was a breeze. Plus these gyms are much nicer. Save yourself the headache if you thinking of joining this gym go to the 24hr fitness on El Dorado instead.
As far as the gym goes it is very small. I would say it a step up from a appartment building gym but thats being generous. They do not even have some the basics you would think are staple items at a gym such as a standard bench press.

In March 2013, my family moved from Chicago and we looked around for a good gym which would meet our fitness needs. This gym is well set up with great equipment which is well kept. Typically, I work out five days a week and one day with a trainer. At Anytime I hired Paul Beaty as my trainer and he’s done an incredible job. He’s been able to challenge me and I have used my body fat from 11% to 9%. I highly recommend this gym.
