Overpriced for what it is. Would give it 2.5 stars. Both the chowder and clam cakes have very little clams if any. Fishermans platter is 75 percent fries/​onion rings. If you are nearby and absolutely need a seafood fix then maybe. Don’t go out of your way

Fresh seafood deep fried and close by. Only complaint is they don’t take credit cards. Yes they have an ATM but I don’t care to pay fees to get at my own cash. Took off one star for no credit card. Food was really good, and the service was perfect for a clam shack. Friendly, clean, and hospitable. Check it out.

Tried to order over the phone just now for a few co-​workers and myself and inquired about which credit cards they accept. None. Seriously ??? What restaurant doesn’t take credit cards? Sorry Clam Shack you lost my business with your rude phone manner, and cemented it by the fact I can’t expense this to a credit card for my employees. Looks like we are getting Chinese for lunch.

Best red clam chowder ever. Never found anything like it anywhere. Also, the clam cakes have lots of clams in them and you can taste the freshness. The whole belly plate is just the right portion of tasty clams, and the bellies are just the right size.

Tried 2 times, fish and chips super greasy, great fried food shouldnt drip with oil. First visit, threw half away. Old oil, wrong temp frying, not sure. Gave a 2nd chance, told counter people concern, they couldnt have cared less. Sure enough, second try, dripping with oil again. I will say the fish seemed very fresh.
Really wanted to support the business, but i paid too much for a small portion of fish and chips (thought they accidentally gave me the small size) that was sooo greasy and a staff who didnt seem to care, about customer satisfaction anyway, but they made sure you paid, never again.

This place is right down the street from me and I love to pick up fish sandwiches on a Friday night. The fish is a nice chunk of cod, with a light batter. And it comes with coleslaw, tartar sauce, and a ton of french fries. I think the guy who said the oil was old must have just had a bad day, because that has not been my experience at all.

Went here today and the food was great! I tried the fried shrimp and the lobster roll. It was a little pricey, but for fresh seafood, can’t complain. I will defiantly be making more trips here. One complaint was that they only take cash.
