The Pier Shops at Caesars

I’ve always like the shops here, the food has never been the best. The third floor big windows are really nice and calming. They have it like an indoor beach with sand.

The shops are very pricey but the restaurants makeup for the lack of true accessibility to shopping. Very good restaurants mostly well priced. When you want to shop this is not the place unless you are the Elite or one very big at the casino. The views of the ocean are amazing and the very cute side chairs by the windows a nice touch.

Here, you can find three tiers of places to blow whatever you have left after the casinos have ravaged your bank account. Cha-​ching!

So sad. This place has gone downhill. Once called The Pier Shops, this (called The Playground now) used to be a gem, a very clean and modern-​appearing and family friendly shopping and dining center that in a way gave some hope to Atlantic City. Now it’s just dark and much more empty …
Top floor still has great views of the ocean … and of the decrepit and depressing Atlantic City Boardwalk. A few restaurants are still up there, but at least 3 are empty.
Other floors are dark and almost all empty. A few high end stores still remain. Curtains block off the passage of some parts.
No more fountain and fountain show! Not that it was the best (it wasn’t), but it was family friendly and gave people something to do, if they didn’t want to gamble.
They renovated a large section as T street or something like that with a club and bar type atmosphere. I was there during an afternoon, so I couldn’t properly judge the vibe. But overall it just felt sad.

We came here for a stroll prior to our Buddakan reservation. There are a few interesting shops, and though overpriced for the most part, end of season sales were vying for consumers. A new open air restaurant was thriving, as was our choice, and there seemed to be a few other decent options for food. But the mall’s main draws, the fountain and light show and observation deck that extends over the sea are now only accessible if you pay a fee. I’m not sure what the cost is and was frankly surprised at this development. Prior to posting this I visited their website and was unable to find any additional info regarding this. If the fountain and deck were still free a third star would be in order. As for the deck chairs and sandy spots, we noticed that they were being utilized by quasi– homeless or gamblers who may have had their luck run out.

Didn’t have much but I did like the view. And I ate at one of the restaurants upstairs. Which was good. Also had a huge bag of candy from its Sugar for a good price so I’m not going to complain.

Beautiful place, many places closed tho, but the 3^rd promenade floor is gorgeous! Great view of the ocean and the boardwalk, many restaurants open, many brand stores available.
Where s the fountain gone?

It’s been awhile since I last visited Atlantic City and from what I could remember from my past visits, this place used to be a lot more lively. It was kind of sad to see that so many shops have closed down here.
There’s not much to see while walking around. If you walk all the way to the end, there’s huge windows where you can look down to the ocean and the boardwalk, which is beautiful! Other than that, you could also ride the escalators to the top floor to dine in the few restaurants there.

One of the things I always do when I go to Atlantic City is visit the Pier Shops. I always find a great deal and lots of sale items that I just can’t resist. If you are trying to spend money, then you really shouldn’t come here. There are a variety of stores to shop in from sweets, techonology, caffeiine fix you name it. I always end up going to It’s sugar, the apple store, Guess, Bebe, and Starbucks. On the second floor they have a few restaurants you can eat from. They also have a food court with a lot of selection to choose from.

I love malls and was always lived near one.
This spot is great in that it’s smoke free, has amazing views of the ocean, and the top floor is full of amazing food spots to hit up to grab a quick drink or yummy bite.
Downfall? The stores. There are so few shops in here and many have since closed down and left. It’s pretty empty in here. Farewell, Juicy Couture. Farewell, Betsey Johnson. The only stores left that are worth it are Michael Kors, Burberry, LV, Apple, It’s Sugar, Guess, Tiffany’s and a few others but it’s pretty barren and dark in here like the Dawn of the Dead films.
Now they’re under renovation and construction so let’s hope they begin adding a lot more stuff here because I am not a gambler so this is my form of entertainment in AC.

It’s not called «The Pier Shops» anymore, they’ve done some renovations and are now calling it «The Playground». Not all the renovations are finished, but they have finished the 1^st Floor which they sectioned off and now call it «T-​Street.»
From what I saw there seems to be a lot of stores still missing, but they put up signs of what will be coming by the next year, a café and other alcoholic stores/​restaurants are still in the makings.
T-​Street seems like an interesting night out type of area in the Playground. It’s a whole strip dedicated to various themed bars and at the end of the hallway there’s a small concert venue that open when there’s someone performing. Personally I feel like they should’ve made T-​street more family friendly, because when my sister and I were trying to get through there they barred the hall and asked people for ID’s because you can’t pass unless you’re 21+. They put a wristband on you to identify your 21+ status. But I believe that’s a drawback because during the daytime families don’t want to separate from their kids just to go. So when my sister and I walked the hall it was pretty empty and sad looking due to this fact while the rest of the mall was busy.
Other than T-​Street, nothing else really changed in the mall itself, a lot of constructions I as said earlier won’t be done until later in the year.

The Shops are in a slump right now, with many of the spaces not rented out. There is not much to do or see at the ocean end of the mall, except for an intriguing laser tag zone; otherwise, it was deserted but for a few people trying to get some exercise. The shops that are in the mall are very high-​end and they are too pricey for anyone who hasn’t won money at the casinos. There is a cluster of restaurants (Continental, Souzai, Phillips, Buddakan) near the resort end of the mall that get a moderate amount of attention, but they are an island in a sea of empty retail space. The highlight of the mall is the seating – there are little lounge areas done up to look like beachfront seating along the windows. It’s a great place to sit with friends or read a book.
Otherwise, you can see the bones of what the Pier Shops are supposed to be (or perhaps what they used to be) – a high-​end shopping mall with tons of storefronts, restaurants, and activities in a bright space with great views of the ocean. Unfortunately, that vision is not achieved by the mall in its current state.

Meh. I live near King of Prussia mall. I’ve been to the Mall of America in MN and over the years, dozens of others. A mall is not a destination event for me but a place to buy something.
On a recent Saturday I was heading to a restaurant on an upper floor and I thought I would «walk the mall» just to experience it. I started on the bottom floor and walked around and up to each floor. BORING!
Every store I could find in any other mall. The much vaunted water and light show was down and apparently had been that way for some time. I noted lots of vacant stores. The ocean view at one end is nice and the chairs sitting on the sand are a nice touch. However there is nothing here unique enough to make my experience anything other than BORING!
As others have said it has potential but it’s connected to a huge attraction which is of course the casino. I can see how some folks would visit here rather than brave atrocious weather but other than that, BORING!

What a a complete and utter shock when I walked in this year (I was here back in March 2014) only to find most of the entire 2^nd floor shops vacant and half the ones on the bottom floor too. The awesome lighted and musical water show gone, nowhere to be found, just a wood floor in its place with nothing else near or around it. Oh! And the oh so cool and inviting Adirondack chairs lining the 3^rd level windows are missing all the sand, last year I was happily sunbathing indoors with my feet literally In sand. I don’t understand, what happened? With many of the unique stores gone, only a few of the high end stores you can’t really afford remain along with some generic and boring souvenir type junk stores.
The restaurant choices have dwindled too, with only a few left and mediocre at that. :(my heart is sad for Atlantic City, because in only a year… What was once a bustling shopping destination is just quiet halls with dark shops.

The Pier Shops at Caesars is such an awesome concept, but the mall has really gone downhill. Don’t even get me started on the current state of Atlantic City because it makes me really sad.
It’s still cool to have shops and restaurants on a pier in the Atlantic Ocean with phenomenal views BUT the quality of the mall has declined. There are three empty restaurant spaces and way too many empty retail spaces to even count. Some of the high end stores have gone away and a few lower end accessory shops have taken their place.
During my most recent visit, the fountain was blocked off for renovations. I’m not sure what is being done or the timing but it was a bummer that it wasn’t accessible.
The Pier Shops at Caesars was once the right place but it happened to come about during the wrong time.
It’s still cool and worth checking out but be prepared for some disappointment. Unless of course you are planning to buy yourself something from Tiffany & Co or a cheap scarf from Lilly Rocket– then you’ve found yourself in the right place.

Direkt am Boardwalk befindet sich die Mall «Pier Shops at Caesars», die mit einer Brücke mit dem Ceasars Hotel verbunden ist. Neben einem gute Mix von Geschäften und Restaurants, gibt es auch Luxusmarken wie Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Gucci und Tiffany & Co.
Ein Highlight der Mall ist die «Water Show», der weltweit größte Indoor-​Brunnen mit 150 individuell gesteuerten Springbrunnendüsen, 179 LED Leuchten, die beleuchtete Wassereffekte erzeugen. Leider war der Brunnen während unseres Besuches gesperrt.
Am Ende der Mall kann man auf eine große Terrasse gelangen, von der man einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Ozean hat. Am Anfang der Mall befindet sich ein Apple Store. Davor ein gigantischer Süßigkeitenladen, der von meinen Kindern geliebt wurde.
Parken kann man in den umliegenden Spielcasinos für 5 bis 10 €.
Insgesamt macht die Mall einen sehr gepflegten und edlen Eindruck, allerdings sind wahre Schnäppchen dort nicht zu erwarten. Richtig sparen kann man in den unweit entfernten Tanger Outlets.
Ein einzigartiges Einkaufszentrum, das man sich bei einem Spaziergang auf dem Boardwalk nicht entgehen lassen sollte.

The Pier Shops are located right on the heart of the boardwalk, you couldn’t miss it if you tried. The bright façade is just that, though… a façade.
Upon entering, The Pier Shops seems a little… dark. And that’s because it is. Half of the mall is out of commission because it’s being bought out and an entertainment center is supposed to be put in. So, that’s not really fun.
I would only recommend going to The Pier Shops if you’re rich (there’s a Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., etc.), skinny (re: Michael Kors and most every other shop in there), or into Tommy Bahama. Otherwise, your best bet is to go five minutes over to Tanger Outlets.
This mall’s saving grace are the restaurants upstairs, one of which is Continental — one of my favorite restaurants in Philadelphia. The food floor has a really nice view of the water, if you care for it.

The Pier is centrally located on the Boardwalk in AC. You can’t miss it, it is directly behind Caesars and even connects to the casino. It boasts a phenomenal view of the Atlantic Ocean and has a cool water show. It’s really great for taking pictures. Come in the winter and experiment with your camera’s shutter speed.
It has higher end stores but I don’t think it caters to the clients that hang out in AC on the regular. Yes, I’ve blown money at Apple, L’Occitane, and VS but it’s because I have forgotten things or they have broken on trips to AC. Also, I am a sucker for VS panty sales!
Even though it’s a high end mall the shops don’t carry much product. The selection is really poor. Save your money and go to King of Prussia, really great mall, or Short Hills for luxury items. Or if you must shop in AC, Tanger is a better option.
They have a few dining options that are worth your time. If you’re a seafood fan, check out Phillips or Souazi for sushi.

I have been here several times and the only places (Out of like, 30 places) I’ve spent money at are:
Starbucks
Piazza di Giorgio Café
Souzai Sushi and Sake
So, you can see that I am a caffeinated sushi lovin’, sake drinkin’ thrifty spender when it comes to eating out.
Most of the places here are geared towards people who live on the UES. And people who like Apple. I’m an Android lover. So *blows raspberry*.
The best part about this place is the water show in the back… and the views… actually…I am going to add one more star for the views. I’m a sucker for sunsets.
