This place is great but I feel like I’m waiting FOREVER. The food is very fresh, but with maybe 3 orders it took at least 15 – 20 minutes to get my food. They were calling people’s names that had disappeared. Fries and shrimp are my go-to because the price is right and they’re my favorite. Just wish it didn’t take so long.

Went to Empire Burger for lunch during a shore trip to Atlantic City. My girlfriend, a friend, and I each got the same thing — a crab cake sandwich. We went back and ordered chicken sandwiches for our other two friends who were too tipsy to find the place and stayed on the beach. First the good: The sandwiches were delicious and hit the spot as we were looking to eat authentic shore food. The cashier, «Beautiful» according to the receipt, was very friendly for both visits too. Now the bad: First, there was nowhere to sit down and eat. Luckily there were some open benches on the boardwalk. Next, the crab cake burgers were small and left us hungry soon after… or maybe that was the beer. Nothing else came with the crab cake sandwiches either. Third, the price was high($ 9) as it is prime location on the Atlantic City boardwalk. Finally, it is a long wait. Our first visit was about 20 minutes and the second visit was closer to 35 minutes. In the end, it’s good food and it’s not a long walk depending on where you’re at on the beach. If you’re willing to wait, it’s a choice that’ll leave you with minimal regrets for lunch.

Good burgers if your hungry they will fill you up. But remember your paying for location not extra ordinary taste. That being said empire burger make pretty good burgers. But they’re not the best they have everyday ingredients this signature spice is their version of Old Bay seasoning nothing to write home about but is good on the fries prices can seem a bit high but this is expected due to supply and demand

This place is great if you need a quick lunch or snack and staying at Bally’s/Caesar’s. I had the double cheeseburger and it was just what I needed. It’s great to have an option that isn’t a full sit-down restaurant or the usual chain garbage.

I came here only because I was participating in the Unilocal Winter Break Scavenger Hunt. Normally I wouldn’t pay much attention to a burger joint in AC because there are so many other food options in the area. But because we had to take a selfie while taking a bite of a Empire Burger, I had no choice. I ordered the regular Empire Burger with no cheese. After waiting 5 minutes in the cold, I quickly took a bite while taking a selfie. There was nothing special about the burger. If someone told me it was a burger from a diner, I would believe them. The only reason I would come back is if I were super hungry or needed a quick bite. There is only a take out window and no seating area.

I was recently in AC for Unilocal Winter Break III and went to Empire Burger as part of the«scavenger hunt». I ordered the Double Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and BBQ sauce. It was a decent burger. I tasted a hint of sweetness, not sure if it was from the bun or BBQ sauce. The cashier was courteous and very considerate. It was a cold night and I did not realize the burger place was located outside. The cashier told me to wait inside across the street and she would signal when my food was ready. I recommend this place if you are staying at Bally’s or Caesars’ and craving a burger.

A solid burger and milkshake from this takeaway joint. We walked down a few to eat in front of the convention center — where they hold Miss America pageants. A bit pricey for take out, but a nice treat.

I stumbled into Empire Burger while I was staying at Caesar’s Palace. I was running from the wine promenade to the Atlantic City fashion week show and needed something quick. I actually REALLY loved the burger and the fries — I’m not quite sure if it was because I had too many sips during the wine walk or because it was actually delicious, lol. The cashier was super nice but the service was pretty slow, but being a New Yorker and having braved the line at Shake Shack, I was pretty okay with it. This is a great stop-in on the boardwalk, as most places are restaurants. I definitely recommend it!

Empire Burger is awesome. It’s just outside of the Pier at Caesar’s. I ordered a double cheeseburger for $ 6.95 and got an juicy tasty burger. Service was excellent as the employees behind the counter were very friendly, but back to the burger. It might be the best burger in Atlantic City. It is also an excellent bargain considering the overpriced restaurants in the casinos. If you’re in Atlantic City, Empire Burger is a must visit.

This was an average burger, the ingredients were all fresh and the burger meat was of good quality. The prices were very fair for the boardwalk, for a burger fries and a drink, it did not cost much more than McDonalds(but it was good). Their fries were very good, crispy and freshly cut. They did take a while to cook the food, which isn’t a bad thing, but if you are in a rush it is not a spot for you.

I wish I could leave 0 or negative stars because this place is the worst. We waited 20 minutes but still didn’t receive our order then had to wait another 15 minutes to even get a refund. The employees were rude and disrespectful. I will definitely be filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in hopes of this place closing because it certainly does not deserve to be operating.

$ 6 for a double hamburger. $ 7 for a double cheeseburger. Or $ 11.95 for a «prime» burger. Those are your only 3 burger options. By «prime,» I was expecting prime beef. What Empire Burger means by «prime» are additional toppings, which included onion rings, lettuce, tomato, and a «spicy» mayo, which wasn’t spicy at all. For an extra $ 2, I got a small order or fries, which wasn’t all that much smaller than the large, and maybe a 10 oz. fountain soda. 15 minutes of waiting and $ 14 later, I was full, but not blown away by the quality of the«prime» burger for the price. Still, this place is most likely a cheaper, greasier option along the boardwalk.

I hate fast food restaurants… And this place makes me hate it even more… this is a open window fast food area… no sit down… located in Atlantic city boardwalk… I don’t know if you noticed but fast food is not as cheap as it use to… you would think its a fast food joint and food suppose to be cheap in fast food joints well let me tell you… eating out in any types of restaurants is not cheap at all and this one is just basically a rip off… I got a smoothie… bucket of French fries… and water… since I wasn’t feeling too good I wasn’t really that hunger… The so called«bucket if fries» was a pack of fries… It was not a bucket at all… it was the size of a Mac Donald’s medium fries… the fries cost Bout four bucks… all the fries were burnt… i didn’t know how to eat them but just chug it with water… the small smoothie I got was three– four dollars. the mango fruit smoothie was good but deff not three four dollars good… the bottle of water was two bucks… after the purchased I asked for more ketch since she only gave me for packets… how is four packets of ketch enough… Would I recommend this place. hell no!!!

This place was the biggest rip off I have experienced in recent memory. I ordered a hamburger, soda, smoothie, small fries, large fries and a water. Total price? Almost $ 27 damn dollars? really? So maybe the food was really good then you say? nope not all! Fries: They were burnt beyond recognition and looked like twigs that suffered the ravages of a massive forest fire. And they tastes worse than that. Soda: About the size of a red plastic cup, full of ice. It was like drinking puddles off the top of a glacier. Hamburger: Again, it sucked. It was about as plain as you could get. The BK Whopper tastes about 10 times better, and costs 25% as much. Condiments: Apparently when you say you want a lot of ketchup, that means four packets. Ask for more and expect a fight, because 4 packets of ketchup is a ridiculous amount of ketchup! Unfortunately, 4 packets was not enough to smother the disasters they sold to me under the guise of fries. Worst of all, I got so pissed afterwards. In fact, i can’t remember the last time I got that angry! Never, ever, never, ever again!

The order took awhile, but it was good food. I’d been roaming the boardwalk looking for something casual to eat that wouldn’t take forever AND wasn’t something I could get a lot of places. I’d never seen an Empire Burger before, so that put it ahead of Rainforest Café and Johnny Rockets – two other possibilities in the nearby area. The Unilocal reviews of the beer garden across the way weren’t great, so I figured I’d give this a try. I had the mac & cheese and a hot dog. Both were fresh, made to order, and they tasted good. The customer service was excellent, and they run a well-organized system in there. A number of delivery orders left while I was there, and they looked big, which probably explains the wait for my own food. In any case, there’s a good variety of options, and everyone who stopped to eat their food right there seemed real happy with it. The place is walk-up only – no inside seating. Heck, no inside for anyone but the staff! There are just a few stand-up tables right out front, but it’s the boardwalk, so there are a number of benches and chairs in the nearby area. Or, there’s this thing called the beach. Lots of seating. I’d probably give this about 3.5 stars, but why not round up? I thought it was exactly what I asked for, and while it wasn’t extraordinary, it’s doing a bit more than getting the job done. Perhaps someone who gets a burger can rate the burger-ifficness of the place.
