While I really didn’t care for the Borgata Casino… I loved seeing Billy Gardell at The Music Box. It was a great place to see a show and you really couldn’t have a bad seat. We were the next to last row and it still felt like we were close.(I would recommend trying to get the last row… more space in between the seats in front of you, if you need to go in and out.) They had a bar in the lobby, drinks weren’t cheap, but they were cold which is all that matters to me. Bathrooms weren’t far away and really clean. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

Nice room for a show. Nice temp controlled at a great setting today. Nice way to break up my week with a little comedy. Spacious seating. I am nice healthy size guy and I did not feel cramp in my seat or with leg room. I can see myself returning

Went to a comedy show on a Wednesday night after dinner at Homestead steakhouse. My friend needed a handicap seat because he was just recovering from foot surgery. The usher«Zelda«was the rudest usher I have ever dealt with. She was not accommodating at all. The funny thing is that I would have tipped her $ 50-$ 100 if she would have just done her job. Zelda ruined our night before it even started.

The Thursday night burlesque show is so much fun! We know one of the dancers, Trixie Minx, from New Orleans. It has a big New Orleans opening. The costumes are beautiful and the music is so much fun. There’s a very funny magician act and an incredible acrobat act of two agile and lovely ladies. Loved the vespa act too. We had so much fun!

I guess the star rating for this venue would would depend on what show you’re here to see! I’ve been to this theater twice now. Once back in the beginning of there year for a comedy show and a couple days ago for a burlesque show. The comedy show on the evening I attended was ok. The burlesque show(which was my 1st) that I attended a couple days ago was pretty awesome, great entertainment! The bar for this theater is not all that, you’re better off hitting one of the bars/lounges in the hotel itself!

My first concert at a casino was @ Foxwoods Grand Theatre, awesome. Because of that, this one is like a hole in the wall. I was there to see Huey 6÷19÷15. I gave it two stars strictly for the stage and sound which weren’t bad, but it’s just an open room with crusty old hotel chairs linked together. Everyone was sitting on top of each other, literally. I rubbed elbows with some fat smelly guy all night. Anyone that goes there and actually would want to go back is completely out of their minds.

Great venue to see shows at! Even the farthest seats are really, really close! Good lighting and sound from all angles. They also allow you purchase beer, wines, and mixed drinks before entering as well as snacks.

The Music Box is a great venue: small, intimate, seats(this gets more important as you get older, kids), great sight lines, and a fantastic sound system. I would definitely see a show here again for my next annual trip to Jersey.

The venue, the line-up and the crowd were all better than expected for a bumpin’ Tuesday night. I don’t know how many people there actually paid for their tickets, but the second comedian, Rodney Davis, made a joke about how people were gonna get the comedy show they paid for. LOLLLLing in my free seats ala Borgata Rewards. Seriously, hysterical. He knew what was up. First guy was pretty good too — Nore Davis. The crowd was, on average, 55+ and white, and I honestly wondered if they were 1. constantly offended 2. gonna laugh 3. know how to laugh or 4. fall asleep. It’s a 9:00pm show, man!, their peak awake time is long over by then. In general though, i thought the show was pretty funny. The third act was a little too old and his jokes pretty corny, especially compared to the first two, and that was when I started wondering when it was over. Just kidding, I knew the show ran about 90 minutes, but still, I wanted it to be over. The venue itself is pretty large, and all our seats were general admission, but you got great views everywhere. Plus, you KNOW I am not sitting in the front row. We sat in the second tier, safely in the distance. There is a bar when you walk in, but jesus christ establish some lines. It’s hard to insist your first in line next to an old geezer, even if it’s true. There were two bartenders, but people didn’t know if it was a full open bar set up, every wo/man for themselves, move it up closer to the counter, or wait on line, so people were just kind of doing both. Ultimately, I didn’t care because some politely drunken stranger offered to buy me and my dude drinks, much to his lady’s chagrin. I did the polite, no thank you, and then when he insisted, we were ready to get our piña colada on. Yes, they have a piña colada machine, and yes, it is awesome. I don’t know if I’d pay for the regular Comedy show, but if you get those free tickets, I think it’s something fun to do.

So far I’ve seen two shows at the Borgata’s Music Box, both comedians: Joan Rivers(RIP) and Hannibal Buress. Tickets here are reasonably priced depending on the performer. For both shows I purchased tickets on the floor section for under $ 30. It’s always worth checking a third party ticketing agent the day of the event to get cheap tickets. When you first enter there is a large bar, which always seems to have a long line. My suggestion is to skip this bar and grab a drink from one of the many other bars at the Borgata– you’ll skip the line and pay a little less. I’ve never had a problem re-entering, they just stamp your hand for re-entry. The Borgata is not located on the boardwalk, and not really within walking distance. So to get to the Music Box you’ll need to grab a cab or hop on the jitney. Once in the Borgata there are plenty of signs that we lead you past a plethora of gambling to the actual venue. The Music Box itself is fairly small, which means all the seats are good seats. The place is kept very clean and the seats are comfortable.

Last night, my family saw a Comedy Show featuring Tommy Gooch, Billy Garan, and Jimmy Schubert. We were surprised that it was packed on a Wednesday night. The drinks were reasonably priced but Strawberry Daiquiri tasted like Robitussin. We recognized some of the comedians from TV. Despite the dirty humor, the comedians were funny.

the comedy show we watched here sucked. I nodded off 3 times and laughed about the same amount of times!

I’ve always enjoyed every show and always felt like I had a good, if not great seat. Seats are comfy and the lighting and sound technicians always seem to be on top of the controls… to provide the best experience.

Super Super comfy seats though I wish there was a tad more leg room for us taller folks. I’ve seen both concerts and comedy shows here and I have to say this is the perfect intimate, climate controlled venue. There is not a bad seat to be had. I was genuinely surprised at the level of quality comedians that perform on a Monday night. The comedy is dirty and adult so if you offend easily, feel free to give me your tickets lol. If you get the chance go see Joe DeVito there, he was hands down our favorite!

I have seen a bunch of shows here at the Music Box and there really is not a bad seat in the house. Spacious venue with comfortable seats and decent sound. Full bar on site but be prepared to pay casino concert venue prices. It’s only a 1,000 seat venue. Save some cash and avoid overpaying for seats closer to the stage as you really don’t need them. You will see and hear everything fine a few rows back. You can usually catch assorted comedy acts featured here with some musical acts mixed in on their event calendar. Intimate and cozy spot to see a show then go hang out at Gypsy Bar or gamble the night away.

My bf and I caught the 9pm show the 23rd and were very please with the performances. In total there were 3 acts, and like most shows they saved the best for last. The seats were comfortable. The only downside,(–1 star) would be the bar. There was a very long line and only 2 bartenders. Sure some people were ordering for a party(so much for the 2 drink max), but I wish they were quicker. Originally I wanted a strawberry daiquiri but turns out the machine was broken so I had a rum and coke instead. Boy was it strong!!! Normally I don’t like drinks that taste like they’re strong, and I didn’t like this one. I would have thrown it out but at $ 12 I just sipped it slowwwly.

I know it’s cliché and repeated over and over but there’s not really a bad seat in the house at the Music Box. I usually go here with my wife to see comedy shows and even if you are off to the side in the back you can see just fine. They have big screens on the side anyway but you really won’t need them most of the time. My best advice would be not to overpay for anything here. If the particular show you are going to has different pricing tiers, do not go with the highest price because it’s probably not worth it, you could be 25 – 40 rows back and save a few bucks. The venue is small and the seats are spacious with cushions, so you really couldn’t ask for anything more. There’s a full bar in the entrance area and plenty of helpful staff on site. If your favorite act, comedian or band is playing here don’t worry about anything and buy tickets with confidence, then go play Wheel of Fortune slots and blow all the money you saved like i usually do!

I’ve several shows(comedy and concert) here most recently the Antisocial Comedy Tour of Artie Lange, Jim Norton, Doug Stanhope, and Dave Attel. I’m not reviewing the show, but the venue. All the seats have good sight lines, and surprisingly the rear riser seats are probably more comfortable than the floor seats. They have more padding, armrests, and are like a stadium for each row so you really can see better. I did find myself looking a lot more, though, at the TV monitors on each side rather than the main stage because of the detail. The floor seats are typical banquet seats with no rise in the floor, so if you get stuck behind someone tall, you’ll be moving around to see. There is alcohol service, and a mad dash for the bathrooms which are not plentiful after and even before the shows. Men and women — be prepared to wait.

Last night, I saw Rob Thomas at The Music Box. I didn’t know anything about the venue and had zero expectations. Rob was supposed to go on stage around 9pm, so we showed up around 8:30. Thank God we did, because the line at the bar was huge. There were only 3 bartenders working, and the line stretched around, and basically started at the entrance. We waited in line for about 10 – 15 minutes. It was a max of 2 drinks per person. We bought a bottle of wine and 2 bottles of Coors Light(they had 3 kinds of beer– Budweiser, Coors Light and Miller Light, and 3 types of wine– Chardonnay, White Zinfandel and I think a Shiraz for red wine). They also had mixed drinks as well. Once the show started, there was no line at the bar, and getting drinks would take about 2 seconds. The music venue itself is quite intimate– about 1,000 seats. My mom and I had spent awhile trying to figure out the best seats for the venue– honestly, that was a waste of time because they all seemed great. I didn’t see any bad seats. We were row N and had a great view. The acoustics were great, and the concert sounded better than his recorded music. The bathroom was one tough part– it was outside the concert venue, in the casino. After drinking all that beer, I had to make a few bathroom sprints during songs I didn’t like as much, to make sure I didn’t miss too much of the concert. However, the staff was really good at re-entry, and didn’t stop you each time and slow you down :-). Despite the long line at the bar, and the distant bathroom, I’d definitely be back here for a show! Two thumbs up.

It’s not Madison Square Garden, but rather a casino’s take on a mini-concert hall. It’s small enough to be intimate with whatever on-stage performer for the night and cozy enough to relax while someone is performing. As a result, tickets are never too expensive and almost every seat in the house is a decent one. I had on the second«balcony» and had an awesome view during my last time here. I came to see Russell Peters and he is worthy of a 5 star review all on his own. The crowd was small enough to where you could hear the whispers of your neighbors and the sound system was good enough to drown them out. Max capacity here is probably no more than 500 people at best as it is a small but comfy venue.
