Johnny Rockets

I went to the pickup window and ordered a strawberry milkshake. It took them 30 minutes to give us the shake. Imagine it was done in less than five minutes but it took them an eternity to deliver it to us a few feet away.
Save yourself some time, this johnny rockets is not worth the wait.

WATCH OUT!!! they charged me random $ 17.43 for which I didn’t order anything and didn’t sign for. Had to call my bank to dispute this charge… I just had a sandwich for which I paid $ 7.43, but later I noticed on my credit card that a second charge appeared for $ 17.43 from this restaurant. So check your credit card after u visit this place.

Rarely ever eat here but this is the safest spot to grab decent food south of the shopping near Ballys, Tropicana. Sadly this side of the boardwalk suffers from being out dating and a lack there of but At JR you can count on a hot, quick menu with a great Malt and 2 step on the side.

Very creamy and pretty good egg cream. Good and super creamy malt shake too.
Didn’t try to food here but I rate this a pretty good stop for a cold shake /​drink on a hot summer day!

Came here for a midnight snack. You have to look at the menu outside before ordering inside. I got the bacon cheese fries which were delicious but a little overpriced. Also took a couple bites out of a friend’s burger — which was also juicy and very good. There is some wait time, but the food is fresh. We got food to go, but the location has a retro diner look which is cute!

Great burgers! A popular place to eat on the boardwalk. I enjoy sitting outside when available! Can be crowded at times.

The take out window is mass confusion. I had to clarify my order twice just so they could get it right. Twice, a guy came out with fully prepared orders and called a number that no one had, only to see those orders go back in and wait on a counter. I waited 15 minutes for a milkshake and a brownie sundae on a Monday night that didn’t appear to be terribly busy.
At least it was a decent enough milkshake. They have work to do on service

I came here for a late night dinner. It is literally part of Showboat casino. Walk across the casino from the hotel check in and you will find Johnny Rockets.
Before you walk in, look at the menu outside. When you are ready to order, go inside and make your order. You will be seated once you are done making your order.
I ordered the Houston burger– Jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, iceberg lettuce, fresh tomato & our spicy sauce. The burger was very juicy, good spicy kick, nice zestiness from the sauce. The bun was soft and buttery. Very delicious burger.
I also got a side order of Sweet Potato Fries. Crispy and sweet. Not to oily as well. Well prepared and made.
The Vanilla Original Shake was very delish. I like the way it was presented. Not overly sweet.
Very neat little burger joint. Interior looks like a very traditional burger restaurant. I like the mini jukebox at every table. 5 cents to play some music. Closes late, so a good spot for a late snack.

Just decided to drop in and try this place. You order at the counter, pay for it and than you sit and have it served to you.
The food was good and there was even some surprise entertainment too.
Our server was pleasant and price was right.
Will go back again.

Cute place in the hotel we were staying at, the Showboat. For a fast burger it was pricey but it is one of those novelty places that you know what you are getting yourself into. The food was good, the staff was friendly (they even did a dance) and clean. No complaints. Portions were small, but that has nothing to do with this particular establishment. Definitely would come back! I had the Houston burger, sweet potato fries and spiked shake.

Stopped in with my family after a night of drinking, gambling, and partying in AC. It was a bit of a wait to get in due to it being crowded on a Sunday morning.
When the hosted asked how many were in our party, we responded six he said WOW we don’t have a table that big, we broke into two group with a booth separating us.
You order and pay for your food before your seated. I ordered the create your own omelet, which includes 3 eggs, home fries, and your choice of toast or English muffin. You pay for each ingredient that you add to your omelet. I believe it was $ 0.50 for each vegetables ingredient and $ 0.99 for each meat ingredients.
My food was good and priced very fairly. I definitely feel like I got my monies worth. I also love the many choices of jelly’s for your toast I myself enjoyed the Apple Jelly.
My family had only one complaint about portion size other than that everyone was satisfied. The staff was nice and friendly.

Came here for breakfast on a Monday morning and it was ok. The food was cheaper than other places. The cashier was not the nicest but I overlooked that. We sat at a booth and it wasn’t the cleanest so I just put some water on a napkin and wiped it myself. Nothing special about the food, it was ok. The waiter, Raul, was very attentive and nice though and the other waitresses/​waiters seemed the same so that’s why I’m giving them 4 stars.

We dropped in to Johnny Rockets as they were one of the only food places open, we were famished from driving for so long and we do not have it in Edmonton.
They had menus located along the line so you had the opportunity to read through and decide what you wanted by the time you got to the front, which was a good idea as I know that sometimes I cannot quite make up my mind.
I got the the front, ordered (the cashier I dealt with was polite, but I cannot say that for the other cashier) and sat myself (assuming they would either call me up to pick up my order or deliver it to my table) as their was no mention of the protocol (which I found a little humorous as this location is inside a hotel where many of the customers are from out of state, etc.)
The food was delivered (took about 35 – 40 minutes) and the person who delivered it to our table mentioned that my shake would be coming shortly. My family and I conversed as we ate and eventually my mom came to notice as with remind me that I still was shake-​less.
I was not too disappointed as I could always get it to go; what I was disappointed about was the fact that my shake had been sitting on the counter for the person to deliver it to me for almost a half hour. When we inquired as to when it would be ready, they tried to give us the melted one with no apologies. I requested a new one be made as the current one was all melted and hot; the person agreed & eventually we received a new shake.
As we were making our way to our hotel room, I took a sip, only to come to realize that they simply poured the old shake into a cup & added some cold whipped cream…
I will never go to this location again; the food is not worth the 35 – 40 minute wait as with the price and the service is lacking.

It is the novelty you are coming for. Yes it is very confusing just what they want you to do at the door. Simply step up to the cashier either with or without the entry Gestapo.
The service area seemed to be in complete chaos. Restaurant seemed dirty but I guess with the number of people going through there is not much to be done ??
Typical fast food nothing really special but nothing really terrible.
Main disappointment… I was so looking forward to my chocolate malt what I got was a chocolate shake.
Highlight was the lights turned down and the staff dance so actually put their heat in the entertainment.

Ce fast food typiquement US attire la foule aussi bien par la qualité de ses burgers que par le spectacle que les serveurs/​serveuses donnent en cours de service!! Sa décoration est simple mais efficace: ce sont essentiellement des affiches de publicité des années 50 qui sont placardées et qui lui donnent une impression de vieillot tout comme la tenue des personnels. Concernant les burgers, la carte propose un bon choix ainsi que des salades et sandwichs froids. Nous avons opté pour le smoke house dans lequel le bacon occupe la première place!! Seul bémol cependant mais c’est la rançon de la gloire: la queue pour être accueilli à l’intérieur tellement il y a de monde. Si vous le pouvez, arrivez avant 12H30. Comptez environ 15 $, boisson à volonté comme toujours dans ce genre de restaurant.

I don’t know why but everytime I go to AC I find myself in this Johnny Rockets.
JR has easy, quick and yummy burgers… great fries and even bettter milk shakes. When you’re down a few hundred, the last thing you want to do is spend money on food… haha so shelling out like $ 20 for two people to eat, in comparison to the rest of AC that’s $ 20 per person… you feel like you won! :)

We visited this place for dinner during one of the days of the Christmas holiday. There was quite a line to order and the worker was quite helpful in explaining the difference between a malt and a shake.
When we sat down, another worker served us and brought us our drinks and food. He also seemed genuinely helpful.
The food itself was food good and the salad came in a large bowl.

One of the worst things about going to a hotel with a casino are the exorbitant prices people pay to eat. One of the best things is being surprised when the bill is utterly cheap. That was my experience at Johnny Rockets which is located at the Boardwalk entrance to Showboat Casino. When you arrive, you are asked to order right at the entrance where two cashiers take your order. You are then given a number and a server brings you your food.
We had the tuna melt and I had a mushroom swiss burger. The burger had a special name, but I couldn’t remember it. The tuna melt was made on medium-​sliced thick bread and was toasted to perfection. It wasn’t too bready or overly toasted. The hamburger was also first rate, with pillowy-​soft buns and a juicy patty. Johnny Rockets serves its burgers inside a paper wrapper which catches all the flowing juices from the burger, a great concept.
On an aside, it was funny that when we asked for a side salad, the cashier furrowed his brow as asked the back if it was available, which was negative. I guess people who come here, don’t order salads! Also, at one point during our meal, the lights started flashing and the waiters started dancing to KC and the Sunshine Band. Their service was excellent too.
Our bill came out to be under $ 20 which is why I was so happy to find a cheap alternative inside a casino! Wowsers for the Cheap Guy!

Didja ever want a good, greasy burger and onion rings? Its late at night on a weeknight and there isn’t too many choices except. Johnny Rockets!
These people don’t seemed too enthused about their jobs, do the friggin dance and gimme my onion rings!
I sat at the counter, ordered my meal and bada bing! Americana on a plate.
Its a good solid burger and milk shake at any time of the day.

This week in Atlantic City was actually my first time eating at a Johnny Rockets. It was a very positive experience. Each one obviously varies location to location, but this one is very pleasant.
It is located right next to the Showboat and right on the boardwalk. The first day I had a Smoke House Double Burger with French Fries. It was very thick (about 2 inches), and very juicy — not dry at all. Also, the meat in the burger was actual ground beef, not cheap frozen patties that you see in a lot of diners. The second day, I came back and had breakfast here. Scrambled eggs, with sausage, toast, and home fries. Good portion size and very fair, especially for the reasonable prices.
This place is also very clean, is open late and despite being next to a huge casino, was not as crowded as you would expect. The staff are very friendly and smile. This place is much better than most of the sub par and expensive NYC diners I am used to.

Who doesn’t like rolling out of bed and right into a burger, malted, and onion rings?
Yeah, I know it’s not a healthy well rounded first meal of the day, but when you finally drag your hungover ass out of bed at 1:30 in the afternoon after an evening of gambling and partying this is the leaden meal you want to dump in your belly!
Even more convenient is that it is connected to the Showboat where we are staying next to the poker room and right off the boardwalk. Double bacon cheeseburger, vanilla malted, and onion rings — hoo boy! Perfect greasy meal to settle my head. Ordered the food and it was served up quick and hot. Good burger, terrific malted with extra malt the way I like it, and crisp onion rings. Again — hoo boy!
Yeah, all the staff still sing and dance in that cheesy annoying way. I have seen them do the «Y-​M-​C-​A» more then enough. Still, I give them credit for embarrassing themselves over and over each day for our entertainment purposes. Not the largest location, but enough seating and counter spots. The place itself is spotless. Very clean.
I also like that they make a smiley face out of ketchup on your plate. Sometimes it’s the little things…
