Food was delicious! Jonathan our waiter was great as well. Mussels done in white were the best I’ve had in a long time. Didn’t feel rushed, everything delivered to our table was hot as well.

Came here on a Monday for buck a shuck Happy Hour. $ 5 wine, $ 1 oysters. They had 3 oysters available for their $ 1 happy hour which was impressive. Usually it’s 1 type. The bartenders were SO friendly and on point with service. In addition to oysters and clams I got a Greek salad — very good.

I recommend going into Harry’s with the proper perspective. Atlantic City just ain’t what she used to be. There are abundant really horrible places to spend an evening and Harry’s was an oasis among these broken down restaurants. Situated inside Caesar’s with a door facing the Boardwalk, Harry’s is just what you’d expect in a New Endland-ish seafood place. I had the clam chowder and it was very good. I’m no connoisseur of chowders, but it was among the best I’d ever had. The beer list is what was really impressive. As a beer nerd, I had spent lots of time on Unilocal trying to find a decent set of taps in the area with hit and miss results. Harry’s had an impressive set of beers on tap as well as several West coast options in the bottle. Overall a good experience. Not awesome, but then again, finding«awesome» in Atlantic City these days would take some doing.

We thoroughly enjoyed this place. Food was great and not overpriced considering the location Server was incredible ! She knew the menu inside and out and was always nearby . Fried oysters could be ordered by the piece or as a platter. Not a drop of grease ! Some of the best I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere, even in the dead of winter I can only imagine how nice it must be in summer

My husband and I were looking for a quick bite and a drink when we arrived in Atlantic City since we hadn’t had lunch and had a late dinner reservation. We decided to try Harry’s and I am glad we did. It is a nice simple place with a casual relaxed bar atmosphere with a friendly attentive staff and tasty food. We sat at the bar and ordered s variety of oysters with some Prosecco by the glass. After we got done with those I moved on to the Fish Tacos and my husband had the fried oysters and chicken salad platter. Both were simple preparations but delicious. The staff was talkative and helpful without being overbearing. The one bartender even suggested we come back over the summer when they have outside dining. He said many patrons will come and enjoy cocktails and cigars while looking out at the ocean. Soundds like a good time to me. We will definitely come back.

I have never been to this bar however my wife does like seafood and so do I. After spending some time at Caesars resort where we did lose our money we decided to grab dinner and Harry’s was where she wanted to go. Jake was our bartender he was on point greeted us at the bar, provided menus and made excellent drinks. Most importantly, I thought, was that Jake was there for anything we wanted, The mark of an excellent bartender, attentive and pleasant . The oysters were perfect, I highly recommend the Mahi Mahi soft tacos and, get three, after eating two you will regret only eating two.

Looking for more of an old school bar/dining experience? Come to Harry’s. Located on the bottom floor of Bally’s, this place is a bit hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the main floor of the casino. This is one of the older restaurants at Bally’s, and it shows. But don’t let that deter you from giving this place a shot. The service here is solid, and the food options are varied. I’d recommend getting their giant pretzel, as it could easily feed everyone at your table and then some. Being an oyster bar, that’s also a solid option. Good place overall if you’re looking for seafood at Bally’s.

It is a good enough option if you have to pick some place outside of one of the casino resorts on the old AC strip. Don’t expect the seafood you might get in coastal New England /Maine. You shall be fine. Things I tried along with my party — who really wanted nothing but sea food and given the size of our party, we got a lot of food. Here are my ratings since I was the designated sampler and I myself didn’t order anything per say — guess it was my Lucky day! Tuna Tartare: 2.5÷5 — nothing to write home about. The blue corn tortillas actually were a total mismatch Shrimp Ceviche: 4⁄5 — probably one of my favorites. It was fresh and again, given I did not want to compare it to the amazing ones I have had in Spain and such(brain freeze) — I liked this one Peel n eat shrimp: 2⁄5 — the seasoning was not evenly distributed and the shrimp may have been steamed a tad bit more than it should have Corn Crab Chowder: 2.5÷5 — Again, nothing out of this world. But won’t wow you either. Cajun fried Calamari: 3.5÷5 — I just cannot not like calamari. it is one of my all time fave apps. This one was middle of the road OK. A little under seasoned for my taste Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich: 3⁄5 — It was a tad bit better than a very awful Filet o Fish I had at McDonalds like a billion years ago by mistake and swore I would never have fish in a sandwich ever again. This was better than that. But if it had been much better, it would have got a 3.5 Lobster Roll: 1⁄5 — I couldn’t help comparing it to all the amazing lobster rolls I have been having all my life up in NEngland. This one is a lone star roll. Just let it be. Mahi Mahi soft tacos: 3.5÷5 — still not as good as the ceviche but decent enough. It was the combination of cilantro and jalapenos that really made these tacos good Some things to know about libations: + Enough choices for bottled and draft bears + They also have beer buckets + Red and White sangria options — Bottled wines’ selection is reasonable + Frozen drinks available in different flavors — Happy hour choices are decent but you are expected to be happy only between 4pm and 6:30pm; can you wet your whistle then? Only if you are awake and not hung over from the previous night I guess ;o) Service was really good. The staff was working hard and yet very attentive. In a nutshell — anywhere between 3 and 3.5 stars. Reasonable options if you are in a big group in the otherwise not so great a neighborhood.

Any restaurant meal that ends with me vomiting in the Detroit airport gets one star. Yeah, the service was good, the bartenders were cute girls, but I’ve never had such bad food poisoning in my life. I know that’s always a risk one takes with oysters, but still… Plus, it’s a casino restaurant…

We always make it a point to stop at Harry’s for lunch when we are on the boardwalk side in A.C. This place is very welcoming and cozy, especially a seat at the bar. The servers are polite and attentive. The soups and appetizers are always fresh and delicious. But the real treat are the oysters… Blue Point Oyster, Chesapeake Oyster, Old Salt Oyster, Jersey Great, James River Oyster, especially the Blue Points and the Jersey Great(see below). If you love oysters, Harry’s will not disappoint… also the Tuna Tartare is always very tasty and fresh. Do yourself a flavor favor… try Harry’s…you’ll be a fan!

We visited this summer and thoroughly enjoyed the oysters! Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs; she also helped with drink recommendations. They had a live band which made the outdoor experience fun on a July summer night. We will stop in again next time we come to town.

This place is incredible! The best seafood I’ve ever had! The linguine and clams in white sauce is a large enough portion to share with someone. They have a wide variety of oysters to choose from. The service is always great.

Another AC wanna-be. Restaurants in Atlantic city are usually packed into a casino and deal in high volumes of food and beer. This was no different. I had a burger as the fishy smell in the place made me long for an antibiotic smoothy to chase down any fish dish. On the plus side the guys behind the bar were friendly and chatty. They were a bit understaffed and working their collective butts off.

Great happy hour spot I always hit when I’m in ac. $ 5 blue point beers and $ 1 oysters and clams. Get here early if you want a good spot at the bar, getting service can sometimes be a bit tough depending on who is bar-tending. Fried shrimp appetizer is also amazing big fresh shrimps with nice light batter. Had the tuna tartar also gf loved it! Tuna was fresh and clean but I thought it was missing a little something maybe jalapenos? Over all solid spot worth checking out

I have to move back up to 4 starts. The Mahi Mahi Tacos were much better this time. Really big pieces of fish that were very moist and tasty. Our server Kaitlin was awesome. I hate to be back and forth with reviews, but we always have fun at Harry’s during the summer months having dinner and listening to the entertainment. Therefore my review will stand at 4 stars for the entertainment and service. But I can’t say that the food will be constant. I hope in the future that it will. So far so good.

This place had a beautiful ocean-view outdoor setting towards the rear of the restaurant, however I chose to sit indoors against the bar. Eric was the bartender who serve us the entire time and he’s highly recommended. The Bloody Mary has quite a kick to it, as that’s the only drink I had throughout my time there. The seafood was all fresh and my favorite was the Blue Point Oysters, which never seem to disappoint! I also had a clam bake and a New England Clam Chowder. I will definitely be returning to this place whenever I’m back in AC.

The seafood here is amazing and probably the reason I will be returning. I ordered the Ameripure Oyster, Blue Point Oyster, Chesapeake Oyster, Old Salt Oyster, Jersey Great, James River Oyster for a starter. The waiter was very helpful with explaining, which each oyster was when the starter arrived. The oyster was $ 1.75 each. My meal was the Chicken Fried Oyster and the Cajun Tempura. The fried oyster was okay but I prefer the raw. If you want to enjoy raw oyster, I would recommend coming here. The only problem was that Harry’s had an open mic the night I was eating. I suggest that you ask the hostess if an open mic will be playing at night before sitting down. I highly suggest that you sit inside if their is an open mic. The singing was so loud and some singers to be honest was horrible. I left with a huge migraine. I have no idea, I was walking into a bar but it felt more like a night club with horrible singing. It was so loud that it was impossible to hold a conversation at the table. This was probably one of the worst dining experience that I have had in a long time.

Put me down for ‘pleasantly surprised’. Being the cheapest of the Boardwalk casinos to spend a night, Bally’s lacks in quality dining options(the latest Guy Fieri joint and Buca de Beppi are notoriously overpriced and overrated). Just before beginning a long night of carousing, my friends and I wandered to the ground floor of Bally’s and out to Harry’s, a lively seafood restaurant/bar with a huge outdoor space for live music. We grabbed some seats at one of the two outdoor bars and split two orders of sliders between the three of us(pulled pork and beef). The sliders were better than expected, with the pork nicely smokey without being too heavily sauced and the beef nicely charred and topped with caramelized onions. From there, I went with a crab cake sandwich. It managed to strike a fantastic balance of texture(plenty of crab with just enough breading to hold it together) and flavour, with a better-than-average side of fries rounding out the plate. It’s not necessarily a cheap meal, but it’s worth the price. And definite kudos for the bar snack: oyster crackers served with nuclear strength horseradish.

So I understand the sensibilities of recruiting more sober people at a table to cut someone off, but fleeing the scene to avoid responsibility afterwards and giving the rest of us absentee service makes us doubly unhappy. Perhaps they were short-staffed and spread the seatings apart too much? We had a moderate wait despite the restaurant not being that crowded, but at least there were plenty of TVs. Cocktails surprisingly watery but the food was okay. I found the tuna tartare too soft for my taste, and the hard-boiled egg in the tuna niçoise was more overcooked than necessary. Oysters were fresh, and no complaints on the clams casino or calamari rings, but I’d probably stick to buck-a-shuck and chowder next time.
