We ate at Buca yesterday for an early dinner. Our server Robert, was professional, and ready to guide us through any questions about the menu. The food is served family style, so we ordered the rigatoni and meatballs to share. They did not disappoint! Everything tasted great! The food came out in a timely manner, and the service was excellent! We can’t wait to go back!

Came here the night of my arrival to Bally’s Casino and Hotel. The restaurant menu reminded me of our NYC favorite Carmines. All the items were meant for sharing, ALL! I came with my hubs and two kiddies. We ordered stratigically because you had to be mindful of the sizes of dishes. The next table not so wise. I give this place 3.5 stars if I could. We ordered off the kids menu for both, thin crust pizza as the obvious choice. The neon pizza sign blaring at you at the entrance. And of course they provided a fun kids’ menu page that turned out to be a booklet of games and tic tax toe. I’ve never seen a word find for kids with 20+ words. Applaud them for doing that. Kept ‘em entertained as we waited for the food. The thin crust by the way was almost paper thin. When you picked it up, the cheese almost starts sliding off completely. Which we didn’t like hence my three and a half stars instead of four. Hubs and I decided to order one appetizer, the mini meatballs. Boy, if my cell phone was not dead, I would’ve taken three pics of this. Huge plate! There were about 8 – 10 mini meatballs sitting in a slush of tomato sauce. Both paste and chunks. Sweet finish and hint of oregano. Simple but classic. Surrounding these minis were slices of their sour dough-esque bread. Soft on the inside, crunchy on the edges. It was provided to soak up all that extra sauce I would think cuz that’s exactly what we did with it. The mini meatballs had a nice char on a few pieces. And they were delicious! For our entrée to share, we ordered the small sharing portion, lasagna(good for 2 – 4 people). The large would’ve been for 4+. Let me tell you when that plate of lasagna showed up, we were like that’s huge(both in length and height)! There were layers upon layers of cheese, the noodle, the meat sauce, then more cheese and noodle. This lasagna must have been half the height of a 16 oz drink. It was stacked with a yummy melty mozzarella oven baked to get that browning/pretty top effect. This dish was noted on the menu to be their signature dish so of course I had to order it. Any stand out Italian place must have excellent lasagna or else! We were more disappointed that we couldn’t share pics. Both our cell phones had little battery left so we couldn’t even open the camera app. Kills me. So go with my word at least even if no photos. One other mention, their made in-house Italian sodas were awesome. I ordered a raspberry one. Very bubbly and just the right amount of sweet. The other reason for the half star was the table service. We came close to closing(kitchen close) time and knew it so we ordered fast. Everything both drinks and food arrived standard wait time. But the server was not good to get plates removed or cleared from the table. He was very good at bringing us refills and fresh plates for dinner vs the appetizer time. We practically finished the bread basket and he didn’t take it away. I ended up stacking things all over for all four of us. And he still didn’t take it away. Sheesh. Any way, still loved the food. And to be fair, the server was prompt with bringing things we asked for.

After driving into Atlantic City, NJ, I was in need of a good restaurant. I was told that Buca di Beppo was on the 6th floor of Bally’s casino/hotel. Being a fan of Italian food, I decided to come here. When I found the place, it was pretty empty. The waitress informed me that a big storm was coming in, so not many people made it out there for the weekend. Also, this was a Sunday afternoon, so most of the weekend crowd had already left town. The restaurant is nice and spacious. The hospitality is above and beyond amazing. The waitresses were very friendly, and constantly checked up on me. I ordered the salmon with pasta(check pics), custom ordered to my liking. The food was awesome, and I ate every bit of it. The bread they served at the beginning was warm and soft, and came with olive oil and vinegar. After being done with my meal, I headed out to explore the town. The food hit the spot, and satisfied me for the rest of the trip. A great experience, I would repeat.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant located in Ballys. I came here with a big group for breakfast and the food was just terrible. Don’t get anything off the griddle section(pancakes, waffles, etc) because they were gross. I had to send back my pancakes because there was a weird aftertaste. Then I got the waffles and they were burnt and just as bad. There are so many restaurant options in Atlantic City. If I were you I would skip this place and find a better one. My friends did the buffet and it wasn’t good either. Everything was horrible… Even the coffee. Blaaaa!

We enjoyed the Apple Gorgonzola Salad and the Chicken and Sausage Ziti. There was very little meat in the pasta, which I’m guessing I should have expected. The meal was plentiful and good for the price. The waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. He gave us plastic forks and plates, in addition to the leftover bread on the table. This was good food, not the best, but definitely worth a second visit. The chair seats were awful. You sank to the bottom of it, as soon as you sat down. The décor was kitschy, and it was a nice atmosphere. We give it 3.5÷5 stars.

Great food and great service. While in Atlantic City this weekend, my husband and I visited for dinner and their breakfast buffet. Both were delicious. Their servers are very attentive and all had wonderful attitudes. The breakfast buffet offered made to order omelettes, a yogurt bar, and all your usual breakfast fixings. At dinner, we ordered a meal for two and had enough for 4 people. Their prices are really affordable. We plan on coming back on our next visit.

A family style Italian restaurant chain located in Bally’s casino. For the most part, you don’t really expect chains to have the best food with regard to the category they are representing as such I shouldn’t have been surprised at my experience. The service is hit or miss. The group I was with had been to the restaurant previously and said they were ignored the first time they had gone. We weren’t ignored this time. Probably because the only other person in the restaurant was a 50 year old man slurping on a bowl of Froot Loops at 2PM(another thing I shouldn’t have been surprised with again considering that it is Atlantic City after all). They have a large menu with a variety of food options. I decided to go with the Chicken Parm sub because why not. Upon my first bite I instantly regretted it. The Chicken Parm sub was probably the blandest meal I have ever had probably at any restaurant I’ve been to. I did not taste anything apart from nothing. You’d think with some sauce on it, it would literally spice it up. Nope. Or with cheese get some richness. Nope. The only thing that Buca di Beppo is good for is filling your stomach so that you can get more drinks while at the casino. Otherwise avoid.

Very solid Italian-style dining with a modern twist. Everyone’s got an opinion on Italian food, including me. I’ve been here a few times now and I’ve always left satisfied and more than full. The food is served family style, even the sides, so keep that in mind when ordering.

We had lunch at this place and the food was not great. The waitress was mad rude like she didn’t care to serve us. I would not eat at this place again. I had good fresh Italian food b4, but when we eat here, the food was tasteless and the sauce was runny.

I ate here for a friend’s birthday and while the décor was hokey in a delightfully old school Italian way, the food was average to subaverage. The first thing that threw me(and has probably always been a point of personal contention) is that the sangria was essentially red wine and club soda. As the official drink of my family, I have had domestic and international sangria. Taking that into account, this was probably the worst Sangria I have ever had. We had the restaurant week menu, which means instead of their usual family style meals I had a small serving of fettuccine with mussels. The mussels were a bit tough and the pasta to actual flavor ratio was overwhelmingly tipped in the former’s direction. Note that the free meatball provided by checking-in was a meal within itself, so my suggestion is to check in, order bread, get your meatball and walk out.

Wow — the reviews of this place vary wildly. From satisfied patrons to outright hatred. All I can say is that when I and my merry group of diners ate here recently we had a terrific time with good service and decent food. That’s all you can ask for when eating at a chain resto like Buca di Beppo. Don’t go in thinking it will be a Michelin star rated joint, and just know that it is what it is. Lower expectations a bit and enjoy a meal in a lighthearted fun atmosphere. Sucks for those that can’t deal with that and had a bad experience here. All I can say is that we all had a great time and walked out stuffed and mainly satisfied. As a bunch of us were here recently during the Unilocal AC weekend event I decided to reserve a table for twelve since it would also be my BDay weekend and a good time to relax with a group of friends over a fun dinner and wine. It was during the AC restaurant week, so we ate at RW prices which were a nifty deal at $ 33.15 a person. More than enough on the menu to choose from, and the portions were actually quite large and filling. Decent enough wine list with different price points too. A nice perk that by checking in with the Unilocal ap they honored the free Buca di Beppo meatball as our starters. We each got one. Nice big saucy meatball that was the size of a softball and actually pretty tasty. I thought the sauce was fine. When we got there the hostess led us to our table. The room they placed us in was crazy funny. It was a Pope theme and we sat in the round at a giant table surrounded by everything Pope related — pictures, art, memorabilia, trinkets, flags, and even a wacko bust of a Pope in a glass box on the middle of the table that we kept moving around to stare at people. Creepy and funny at the same time. At least I can now say we dined in the presence of the Pope! Yeah, we were blessed but probably sinned like crazy in that room! Loved it! Our waiter was funny and helpful enough but he was spread thin as they had him also working other rooms and tables. Things were kind of slow coming at times and they could have used more staff to help him out. He did his best. Here is a selection of things we ordered off the RW menu — Apple Gorgonzola — Granny Smith apples, spiced walnuts, dried cranberry and Gorgonzola, tossed with mixed lettuce in our signature Italian vinaigrette. Mussels Marinara — Steamed mussels with out homemade marinara sauce. Linguini Frutti di Mare — Shrimp, baby clams, mussels and calamari in a spicy red clam sauce. Veal Saltimbocca — Lemon butter sauce, sage prosciutto, artichoke hearts and capers, served with mashed potatoes. Italian Crème Cake — Three layers of rich lemon cake and Mascarpone cheese filling, served in a pool of raspberry sauce and topped with whipped cream. Tiramisu — Homemade ladyfingers soaked in dark rum and espresso, layered with Mascarpone cheese and topped with cocoa and hazelnut biscotti. I also give props to the manager that tried to work with us as best he could when we had some of us who asked to make substitutions because of dietary restrictions and allergies. He even came by a few times to make sure we were ok and wished me a happy BDay. On top of that a bunch of staff came over with a candle lit dessert and sang happy birthday to me. Overall, good service and an attentive staff on the night we were here. It’s the little things like that which score points in my book. Again, is this top of the line Italian food? Heck no, but it’s solid eats at a decent price point considering it’s in a casino. Go in knowing that, be loud, eat big, and satisfy those hunger pangs before heading back to the slots and tables for gambling action.

Me and a large group of Unilocaler while we were in A. C, when for a Birthday celebration for one of us(Phil). We were a large of party of around 12 people, so we took over the Pope room. A big room full of pictures of different Pope and a mannequin those look a bit creepy. When you did a checking on Unilocal they give you a big meatball, very good. It was restaurant week so they had a good deal for only $ 33.15 per person and you had the option to eat appetizers, entrée and a desert: For the appetizers you had the option to choose from: Soup of the Day — Soup of the day Apple Gorgonzola — Granny Smith apples, spiced walnuts, dried cranberry and Gorgonzola, tossed with mixed lettuce in their signature Italian vinaigrette Mussels Marinara — Steamed mussels without homemade marinara sauce For your entrée, you had: Salmon Sorrento — Lemon butter sauce, tomatoes, capers and broccoli. Veal Saltimbocca — Lemon butter sauce, sage prosciutto, artichoke hearts and capers, served with mashed potatoes. Linguini Frutti di Mare — Shrimp, baby clams, mussels and calamari in a spicy red clam sauce. And for the dessert: Italian Crème Cake — Three layers of rich lemon cake and Mascarpone cheese filling, served in a pool of raspberry sauce and topped with whipped cream Tiramisu — Homemade ladyfingers soaked in dark rum and espresso, layered with Mascarpone cheese and topped with cocoa and hazelnut biscotti I choose for my appetizer the Mussels Marinara, for my entrée was Veal Saltimbocca and my desert the Italian Crème Cake. For drinks we had a few bottle of wine and sangria. The server was a little slow, but very good, he was giving good recommendation. And doing the best he can do server us.

We(a group of Unilocalers) dined in this place during the Unilocal AC event. It was also perfect timing as we came during the AC restaurant week, so we ate at RW prices… While we were waiting, we ordered drinks, white and red wine, 2 bottles each and a carafe of Sangria. I would have preferred the sangria to be stronger and non-carbonated…I am not a big fan on carbonated drinks. When we checked in, a free meatball offer popped up and we told our waiter about it. He said no problem. A few minutes later he came with meatballs, the size of baseballs(maybe just a tad bit smaller than a baseball) for everyone at our table. He didn’t ask to look at each person’s app to make sure everyone checked in and marked offer as used which might have been a bit of a hassle on his end since there were about 11 or 12 of us at our table. A short time later after our free meatball came out, came the appetizer. I ordered the mussels marinara… and when I saw the amount of mussels in the bowl, I wondered if it was an app or entrée… it was a good amount of mussels in the bowl… by the time my entrée came out, I was already kind of full from my pre-app and app course… for my entrée I ordered the veal saltimbocca, which was veal with a lemon butter sauce, prosciutto, artichoke hearts, capers, and a side of mashed potatoes… it needed a bit of salt but otherwise it was good. Too bad I could not finish it and had to doggy bag the rest. The only bad thing about this meal was the dessert. I had the tiramisu… it came prepared in a small bowl. It seemed very stiff and dense. I was expecting it to be lighter, like made with a whipped cream zabaglione mixture… maybe I should’ve ordered the cream cake. Otherwise, everything else was great. Also the manager was very helpful with letting some people make substitutions because of dietary restrictions/seafood allergies… — — — — — — — — — — — - RW menu(*copied from the site*) — Dinner $ 33.15 per person Appetizers(choice of one) –Soup of the Day — Soup of the day –Apple Gorgonzola — Granny Smith apples, spiced walnuts, dried cranberry and Gorgonzola, tossed with mixed lettuce in our signature Italian vinaigrette –Mussels Marinara — Steamed mussels with out homemade marinara sauce Entrees(choice of one) –Salmon Sorrento — Lemon butter sauce, tomatoes, capers and broccoli –Veal Saltimbocca — Lemon butter sauce, sage prosciutto, artichoke hearts and capers, served with mashed potatoes –Linguini Frutti di Mare — Shrimp, baby clams, mussels and calamari in a spicey red clam sauce Desserts(choice of one) –Italian Crème Cake — Three layers of rich lemon cake and Mascarpone cheese filling, served in a pool of raspberry sauce and topped with whipped cream –Tiramisu — Homemade ladyfingers soaked in dark rum and espresso, layered with Mascarpone cheese and topped with cocoa and hazelnut biscotti

What restaurant has gourmet dining prices, terrible service and food that comes out cold and crusty? Answer: This one… My expectations were not high to begin with. The only reason I was there with my friends is because they were«serving» free meatballs. Those free meatballs, along with the entrée ordered, took around 90 minutes to be brought to our table despite the restaurant not being not crowded(we were there around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, you know, not during the lunch or dinner rush). The meatballs were cold but tasted like meat. The entrée, on the other hand, was cold and crusty. The only redeeming quality of this experience was that the meatballs were free and they took the cold and crusty entrée back without charging us for it.

Honestly 3 – 3.5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the service and extreme friendliness of everyone that works here. I initially came here as a start off for our scavenger hunt via Unilocal Saturday afternoon. Being pretty hungover that gigantic meatball was my first meal of the day and pretty outstanding. Slathered with a rich tomato sauce and a ball the size of my head that actually was cooked on the medium to medium rare side. Go Buca! Fresh parmesan and a little black pepper to season that sucker up and I was instantly recovered of any debauchery from Friday night. The manager even came by to thank us for checking out his restaurant and asked us if we liked the food and if we were happy with everything. Since they were so nice we decided why not to come back Sunday afternoon for lunch. I didn’t realize their portions are HUGE. I had most of my meal packaged up and to go for later. Was the food beyond superb? Not really. It was like most chain Italian restaurants but it hit the spot. Also they have a $ 17 lunch buffet deal that sounds kind of neat. Unlimited soft drinks, coffee, tea, variety of pastas, salads, and deserts. Though, they had been sitting out for a long time and I didn’t think I was capable of eating that much to begin with so I went with the soup or salad plus pasta for $ 10.40. Quite the deal. Opted for a simple penne with alfredo and a Caesar salad. Felt like the pasta was cooked fine but it wasn’t saucy enough or the alfredo was just lacking in flavor. Also kind of on the dry and cold side like it potentially could have been reheated pasta since I asked for such a basic dish. My friend initially ordered the manicotti and to her disappointment realized it was in marinara sauce and the staff told her kindly that she could order anything else if she really didn’t want it. That was pretty awesome. She exchanged the manicotti for spaghetti carbonara without the peas. Though, they brought the dish with the peas. But with already feeling like we were too pushy we kept it the way it was. Overall still a great experience. They even gave us an additional on the house meat balls for a second time and espresso.

I visited Buca Di Beppo at Bally’s Casino as part of the Unilocal Winter Break in Atlantic City. Taking advantage of AC Restaurant Week, I ordered a three-course meal for lunch. Upon checking-in at the restaurant I was served a complimentary half-pound meatball. The meatball was delicious and served with homemade bread. Lunch hadn’t even started in earnest and I was already almost too full to eat my meal … but after the first course arrived I made sure to find room. After a tasty Caesar salad, the extremely friendly(and speedy) wait staff brought out my main course — chicken stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto, served with homemade marinara and pesto sauces. I also enjoyed a chocolate chip cannoli for dessert. The meal was a great start to my weekend in Atlantic City and I look forward to my next visit. Buon appetito!

Unfortunately my experience at Buca di Beppo wasn’t too hot. In fact, it was one of those all-around fail experiences. My group of 5 arrived mid-afternoon to indulge in a light meal and some drinks. Our service was slow to non-existent. We probably waited about 15 minutes or so just for our beverages. It took quite some time for our food too. It actually got to the point where we had to inquire about the delay. We each had the Buca di Beppo meatball as our starters. It was a big saucy meatball but I thought it to be a little bland. It was fine but nothing special. I had planned on sharing my husband’s spicy chicken rigatoni. At the point it came out, it was dry and crusty. We ended up sending it back and opted to eat elsewhere. It’s unfortunate because if the service and food were good, Buca could have a lot of potential.

The reason for my three stars was not because of the food(because that was actually the best part) but the service was beyond HORRIBLE! When we went to check this place out, it was a 20 min wait without a reservation which was great for a Sat night so we waited the 20 mins and got seated. After we got seated is when it turned into a nightmare. We waited 10 minutes before I went up to the host stand to ask her to get our waiter because we had yet to be addressed. She said she would let him know. Another 5 mins go by and that’s when I flagged down the manager to tell him we have been waiting 15 mins and have never been greeted yet. He apologized, i said it was ok, and he said«no it’s not, he only has 4 tables» alright then. He then offered to get us our drinks and he would get our waiter. Waiter came over, acknowledged we had a manager step in but never apologized. We ordered our food, which again like I said previously it was fantastic and we left with full bellies. We got the check, the beer was comped due to the inconvenience which was a nice gesture. I then told the waiter I had a coupon and he said to go to the cashier to pay and he would have the manager come up to add the coupon to the bill. We then waited another 5 – 10 mins for the manager to come up. The cashier didn’t know how to put in the 15% discount and the other cashier lady was giving another patron attitude because they wanted to order take out and it was after 10pm(closing time). This place lacks ALOT of communication between employees and everyone seems to be running around like chickens with their heads chopped off. Our waiter was nice but he could’ve used a fire under his butt as he didn’t seem to do anything at even a moderate pace and he seemed dazed and out of it. So 5 stars for food but got knocked down to 3 stars(and that’s because I’m nice) because of the horrible service!
