Quick update: I just tried the fish taco and tofu taco. Personally(I’m a biased tofu-lover), I liked the tofu taco best. The tofu was stir fried really well with just right consistency. With a bit of sriracha drizzles on top, the tofu taco tasted like a healthy but yummy wrap. The fish taco wasn’t bad exactly, but the fish wasn’t as crispy or fresh as I expected. I didn’t like the mix of flavor in the taco either… but I’ve heard so many good things about it that I’m really just pinning it on my own personal preference. So overall, give the tacos a try – there’s tofu, fish, beef, pork, etc. Don’t expect authentic Mexican because they’re really just protein + lettuce in a soft tortilla, but such is the nature of Asian-Mexican fusion. All the tacos are going to be okay or good.

Yumbii food truck was visiting the GT campus and we decided to get our lunch there. We got: 1. Pulled pork sliders 2. Asian rib eye quesadilla At first impression upon receiving our orders, we were worried by the portion size. But despite the size, these things are pretty packed with flavor and we finished them feeling very satisfied. Compared to the quesadilla, the sliders were more balanced with the fresh veggies in them whereas the quesadillas only had meat and cheese. The quesadillas also came with an Asian dipping sauce. My bf did note that the quesadilla is on the oil-y-er side, but he’s more sensitive to oil than I am so shrugs.

I’ve visited the Yumbii truck a few times on the Tuesday’s it’s by my Galleria area office, and I’m a fan. The sesame fries live up to their billing, and I really like their take on a Philly — my only criticism would be it’s slightly smaller than I’d prefer(maybe my eyes deceive me, but it seems smaller than the 8″ the menu says). That said, it’s not like I’m hungry after eating their Philly and fries, and for $ 10 its a reasonable value. And the flavors are excellent.

2.5 stars. The portions are tiny and overpriced, but that’s not a Yumbii problem; that’s a food truck problem. So take it or leave it. With that said, I feel the least cheated when I order the burrito and fries. Rather than size, you are paying for quality, unique flavors, and convenience. If you’ve been to Hankook Taqueria or Takorea, then you know exactly what to expect. Overall, I’ll go if I have a real craving for it come lunch time every now and then; I’m not going there every time they’re in town. There are definitely better ways to spend $ 10 for lunch. The Yumbii truck arrives almost every Tuesday for lunch at the Atlanta Galleria Office Park. I hear they serve Emory too.

Food truck Friday in Roswell park was where I found this truck, and I did the sampler basically the Pulled pork, chicken and beef tacos. Me being Mexican decent wanted them to be a bit more spicy but I know they need to cater to the masses and not just me so i added more hot sauce. My husband made me order the sesame french fries he loved them but I was not fan. I would definitely keep following them to go to the truck again.

I had their special nachos they were really good. They would have been better if they hadn’t put lettuce on them. The lettuce was dark dark green and just didn’t look good. I had them with the pulled pork. That was delicious! The other toppings cheese and chipotle sour cream were great! The fish taco was okay. It needed more flavor. Lunch was $ 10. I got my money’s worth. My coworker got the steak burrito combo and loved it. Burrito, fries and drink for $ 10. I might be back after I hit the other food trucks.

Fish tacos and sesame fries! That’s all that needs to be said. This truck has perfected these two things. I’ve tried the Asian pulled pork taco, it’s not that great but the fish tacos have the right combination of crunchy(battered, fried fish), soft(taco shell & lettuce), spicy and slightly sweet. All around super delicious with fantastic service.

I’ve gone to Yumbii food truck in Smyrna twice and really liked the fish tacos with Korean BBQ sauce(1 for $ 3) The sauce gives them a nice kick. The taco is small so I would recommend getting 2 if you are making them your dinner. I’ll be back for more!

YUM! Tonight while attending the Food Truck Friday event in Duluth, my husband and I decided to try the Yumbii food truck for the first time and found the food to be delicious. The food is Mexican with an Asian influence. My husband had the combination plate which consisted of three different tacos,(beef, chicken and pork) and a beverage. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was well seasoned and delicious. The dipping sauce provided was not needed. Although my husband liked his tacos, he felt that the sauce was a bit salty. The beverage we chose to share was a hulking HUGE23oz mango drink that was very nice and the perfect partner to our savory meal. The wait in line was immaterial because once we placed our order, our food was quickly expedited. For those who are concerned, they have low carb and gluten free options available. Yumbii was definitely a good choice!

Sesame fries are the reason I keep returning to Yumbii’s food truck. They’re my favorite non-traditional seasoning for fries from a restaurant or food truck. Crispy and tasty, for $ 3 they make a great accompaniment to any of Yumbii’s meal. On the whole, Yumbii is a Korean-Mexican fusion food truck that serves Asian-inspired burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and sliders. Burritos are $ 6 and the item I most commonly order with my sesame fries. I’ve tried the ribeye beef and the chicken burrito recently — I prefer the beef over the chicken. The beef is sliced like bulgogi and is sweet and tasty. The chicken is tasty too, although the seasoning simply reminds me of hot sauce. Any of the meats are balanced with a soy vinaigrette dressed salad. A side of chipotle mayonnaise comes with the order. I would consider the burritos«medium size», but if you also order the fries you get full quickly. For value, you can buy combinations which basically give you a discount on your drink. They’re a good way to try one of the burritos or tacos along with the sesame fries. Also, the food tends to be salty, so I’d recommend you have a drink along with your meal.

Everyone is talking about the sesame fries. Yes they rock! They are the perfect blend of salty and sweet and only $ 3.(Think Kettle Korn only with tempura batter and in a fry) I also tried their pulled pork sliders for $ 6. They really aren’t my favorite but I’m also not a huge pork fan. They come with Kimchi and Lettuce on top. I kinda wished for them to be hugged in something better than white bread, but that’s my healthy side talking. I plan to go back and try more and update my review. Very friendly service and fast.

This food truck stops at GT’s campus twice a week(Fall 2014), and it is the cheapest one. The service is pretty quick and friendly. I’ve tried the Korean beef burrito and quesadilla, and I will stick to the quesadilla from now on. The burrito is the same price as the quesadilla, but the quesadilla has way more meat in it. The burrito was tasty, but it seemed as if there was more tortilla than filler and it’s small.

I paid $ 6 for a burrito the size of a taco filled with vegetables and almost no meat. The little burrito was ok but I am still hungry…

Only saving grace is the sesame fries. The fries are dusted with a perfect mix of salt, sugar, and some red pepper flakes after being friend in sesame oil. Tasty. Tacos are gross. Flour tortillas. Wilted lettuce. The asian taco meat had no seasoning except for a dan of sriracha. The pulled pork taco had no sauce or salt. Just plain as slow cooked pull pork in a home slow-cooker. I was disappointed. Asian-mexican fusion should have flavors of both. These tacos have no flavor just the«concept» of asian and mexican.

Winter is when I find things or decide going outside to look for strange food carts is a-ok. Thus we found Yumbii hanging around Honey Bubble. I wasn’t sure what to expect having little thought on food trucks or experience with them, but sure, why not? Got the famous sesame fries, some sliders, a pulled pork taco, and a fish taco. Just trying to shotgun the menu since we were in the grip of hunger. It was a good introduction to food truck food, at least, for me. Then began the addiction… The craving for sesame fries paired with chipotle ketchup, and Yumbii no where to be found. You can’t go wrong with the fries and fish tacos with lime though. Their drink choices aren’t much outside soda and water, and while the menu is somewhat small it keeps a consistent standard with flavorful options. At least, in my opinion they’re pretty tasty. If anything grab some sesame fries. They’re some of the best fries, right?

Definitely one of my favorite food trucks in the area. I’ve tried the burritos, quesadillas and sesame fries. Everything is super tasty, and the prices are decent for a gourmet food truck.($ 5 burritos & quesadillas, $ 3 tacos, fries, $ 9 combos) I’m most impressed by the fries here, as they are very crispy even with all that tasty, sesame-y goodness. Have you ever tried truffle fries that taste ok, but are horribly soggy? Not a problem here. :)

The asian philly cheesesteak is a force to be reckoned with: marinated ribeye steak covered in a spicy Sriracha cheese sauce and delivered inside of a hero roll. The pulled pork sliders are an ode to Mexicana with their spicy marinated pork, traditional kimchi cucumber salad, and shredded cheese. The sesame fries are also a winner, dusted heavily with a flavorful seasoning blend and served with a side of addictive chipotle ketchup.

I’m a fan of Yumbii, Atlanta’s first food truck. They make Korean tacos that are satisfying and affordable. Tacos are $ 3 each and burritos and quesadillas are $ 5. Proteins include rib-eye beef, pulled pork, chicken, and stir-fried tofu. They also offer fish(tilapia), but only on tacos. They’ve got 2-for-$ 5 sliders and some really good sesame fries. A few $ 9 combos are available that include can/bottled drinks, including San Pellegrino’s orange-flavored sparking mineral water. The orange S. Pellegrino tastes like a lighter, less sweet version of Fanta or Crush with a bitter finish. My favorite items to order at Yumbii are also some of their most popular: the Asian rib-eye beef taco, fish taco, and the sesame fries. Each taco comes with a protein, lettuce with sesame dressing, and shredded cheese. The fish taco has an extra«Hoisin-Tartar» sauce, which is a little bit runny. Tacos are served in a single-layer flour tortilla with a small wedge of lime. The ribeye beef meat is tender and flavorful. The tilapia is coated in panko(Japanese bread crumbs) then fried. It’s delicious with the tan sauce. The tacos are small and manageable and can be easily gobbled up in 4 – 6 bites. I’m not crazy about sesame fries, but the ones cooked up by Yumbii are insanely addictive. They’re extra crispy and savory. No extra condiments needed — they’re great all by themselves — though they are served with a Sriracha cheese sauce which is pretty good too. The light dusting of chili flakes over the fries makes my mouth water every time. I once ordered a chalkboard special, the $ 4 Yumbii Mini-Philly. It came with Asian rib-eye beef topped with Sriracha cheese sauce, white and green onions, and cucumber kimchi. The sandwich came overloaded with sauce and was incredibly messy to eat. The bottom of the tray became a pool of sauce, the buns got soggy, and the entire thing crumbled apart halfway. Despite this, it tasted OK. The tacos are still way better, so I probably wouldn’t order this again. Check out Yumbii’s web site( ) and Twitter feed( ) to find out where their two trucks, Yumbii 1 and Yumbii 2, will be next. Fast and friendly service. $ 5 credit card minimum on all orders.
