What a pleasant surprise. I’m not super impressed with the restaurant spread at Krog Street Market. That being said, it was pretty exciting finding this little spot along the Krog Street food stalls. There was a slight line, which is sometimes a good indicator of what is to come. I ordered a chicken shawarma bowl. I’m a huge fan of the seasoning in chicken shawarma, and when done right, the chicken is super tender and flavorful. And boy was I right in making this order. I can’t even name half the things in my bowl, but with all the different flavors, they all worked. The fried eggplant was on POINT, with the heavily season fried slices filling my mouth with heavenly aromas. I’ll have to say, Yalla has some of the best food at Krog Street Market that I’ve tried, especially for the price you pay and the amount of food you get.

I’m upgrading my review to five stars! I have been here a few more times since I wrote my original review and it appears changes were made to make them more efficient. The food has been excellent on each visit and I have introduced Yalla to others who love it just as much. I’m glad I didn’t give up on them because the food is amazing.

Every Friday we order lunch from somewhere and I pick it up in my way into work. My boss insisted I pick up a shawarma from here refusing to heed my advice not to do it! He too has traveled all over the world and he was just as upset as I was the first time I ate here. Such a waste of money $ 14.00 for butt! In fact both my boss and another coworker threw away their wannabe shawarma. Told him I don’t lie and he apologized for not believing me and said next time he’d know better.

Yesssssss, it’s a little pricy. And yessssss, you’re eating in a food court. But give me a break, Atlanta: this is damn good falafel in a damn cool place. I had to try Yalla because I adore General Muir. It has a really different feel: General Muir is classy and airy and trendy. Yalla is upbeat and casual. I got the falafel pita(standard) and loved it. If you want a cheaper falafel, there are other places you can go. But part of what you’re paying for is the fun of Krog St. Market. You can drink a Hop City beer with your falafel and sit outside and peoplewatch. It’s yummy, and worth it.

Love this place! Quick service, excellent products and great splittable portion sizes. We usually eat here and walk on the Beltline after– just don’t stay parked in their lot! Highly recommend the shawarma or shawarma bowl, and their signature nonalcoholic beverages. Prices are high for ATL but the portions make up for it. We really enjoy the house made pickled vegetables. Great mixes of flavors you can’t find elsewhere in the city.

This is my favorite place in Krog Street. They have amazing food and the portions are huge! The service is quick even if the lines are long, and they are amazing at getting your order right! The falafels are super yummy and stuffed to the brim. Nothing tastes processed or frozen. Its really fresh and clean. We like to stop by whenever we are in the area!

Really good shawarma here. I’ve eaten these sandwiches all over Atlanta and I think this one is my favorite. It was huge though. I got the one with fries inside. A true gut buster. I had to nap after. The flavor was great and reminded me of shawarma I’ve had in Israel. $ 15 a sandwich is no joke though. The price may cause me to try other spots before circling back again, but I’d eventually go back for sure.

One of my go to spots at Krog St Market! Solid Israeli street food– best I’ve found in Atlanta. I’ve ordered the shawarma laffa several times and it doesn’t disappoint! First, the portion is HUGE. More than enough to share(and splitting at $ 15 makes is a great deal). Second, the laffa is fantastic! It’s sort of a cousin to the wrap or tortilla. Third, the fried eggplant is delicious adds a lot to the wrap in terms of flavor and texture. Finally, the meat is very tender and flavorful. Don’t let the long line deter you– the wait is worth it!

This is my third time here. I’ve had a bowl with chicken shawarma, a pita with lamb kebab and a falafel wrap. The flavors are definitely there but each time they have been way too oily. I’m not sure where all the grease is coming from. Seeping out of the fried eggplant, coming from the meat, do they add extra on top? It’s too much. I really want to like this place but I don’t like a pool of oil in my bowl, or oil pouring so much out of my wrap that I have to create a bowl out of the foil to keep it from spilling everywhere. Also, the prices are a little steep. $ 14.04 for a chicken shawarma bowl just seems a little high. A normal price to me would be $ 8 or $ 9 or $ 10. I’d even think $ 12 might be ok because maybe they’re a mom and pop and I will spend a bit more to support local shops. I’ll probably go back and try really hard to order only items that I think will have little oil.

I’ve tried Yalla when my friend ordered this last time I was at Krog market and had a good first impression with their food. Since my boyfriend was craving Mediterranean-like food, I thought Yalla would be a great place for him to try. I would say their food is on the pricier side, but comes in huge portion so two people can share one to start(unless you are starving). We ordered«The Shouk» with laffa(Laffa is a flat bread they use to make a wrap, imagine almost like a tortilla for burrito, except bigger). We love fries so this seemed like a perfect choice. This one item costed 15 dollars, but you get a monstrous giant wrap. Since we were sharing, I asked them to cut it in half for us. The fries is a good addition to the wrap — adds some crispiness and texture. The food was really good — but can get overbearing with the sauce and meat. Just having half the laffa was more than enough for me and my boyfriend. I definitely recommend sharing if you are trying Yalla for the first time(plus, you get to try the other goodies in Krog market)!

Third time here. Overall, the food is average. I had the lamb kebab bowl. The Israeli salad and baba ganoush was good. But, the fried eggplant and the lamb kebab was extremely oily. Last time, I tried the chicken shawarma and that was not any better. I will not recommend.

I really can’t say enough good things about Yalla. It’s my favorite place in Krog Street Market, my favorite take-out place in Atlanta, and the best mediterranean food I’ve ever had in the United States. In fact, immediately after a two-week trip to Israel, my husband and I went to Yalla, already craving the falafel, shawarma, and sabich we’d gotten so used to eating there — and Yalla did not disappoint.(Also, where else can you get sabich — egg and eggplant? I’d never even heard of it until I went to Israel!). The bowls are my favorite, the laffas are huge, and the pitas are nice and soft.

This is truly one of my most favorite eateries in town. Todd got it right! The kabab is my favorite, but the shawarma and falafels are not far behind. The hummus is good, the baba is divine, and the fried eggplants should be added to every dish you order. Tip: try the fig rugalach. So very good. Tip: order the Lafa. It is made fresh and very yummy. It stays fresh longer than the pita.

We got hungry as we explored KSM for the first time. We were intrigued by this place’s name and it sounded fun to say too. We got: Chicken shawarma with chef’s recommended toppings(hummus, tahini, harissa, grilled eggplant, Israeli salad, pickled vegetables…) We thought this was very meaty and tasty! Kabob of the day — Lamb with tahini, harissa, hummus, and a little bit of grilled eggplant and Israeli salad We loved the fresh, char grilled flavor and crisp! Yalla is a huge improvement over Bezoria(in Midtown) in terms of flavor. One thing to complain about was the shawarma came out significantly colder than the freshly made kabob one. And the meat and veggies weren’t equally distributed in the shawarma. It’s also on the pricier side since it’s in KSM.

Yum!!! I’ve only had the laffa style meal, but it’s amazing! You pick a dish and then pick if you want it in a bowl, pita, or laffa — which is kind of like a naan-style wrap that’s absolutely MASSIVE. They are very generous with the meat and topping and for $ 14-$ 15 for one laffa, there’s definitely enough to share. Love Yalla. My only complaint is that I feel Krog Street Market is totally sterile and lacks atmosphere. I feel like I’m in a Sam’s Club. But as long as I’m not looking for something cozy, Yalla is a great choice.

Yalla! is located inside Krog Street Market smacked in between Fred’s and G.C. BBQ I took my sister to KSM for her first experience on a weekday. We ended up having Yalla’s for lunch. The line was pretty busy, but moved swiftly. Yalla serves up quick popular Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. The main items many people order are either the PITA/LAFFA/BOWL. Choose what you want such as Shawarma Chicken, Falafel, Lamb Kebab, etc… and have it in either of the three: P/L/B. FOOD –Minute Steak Bowl(14) –Shawarma Laffa(14) The meats in both entrees were delicious; especially the minute steak, which my sister ordered. I ordered the chicken shawarma laffa. It’s pretty much wrapped in a HUGE laffa bread a.k.a. tahoon bead. It’s chewier than pita and a little less thick. It was hard to eat because the wrap was so big so I ended up using a fork and knife and dissected. Definitely recommended a BOWL. Healthier and less carbs! Pricey but the portion is big. Good food, but definitely other cheaper options with just as big of a portion.

Maybe it’s not fair to write a review based on one dish. I’m going to do it anyway. I chose Yalla b/c it seemed like one of the best rated among the food options at Krog Street Market. Plus I love Middle Eastern food. SHAWARMA — $ 8 Got the shawarma b/c the cashier told me it was her favorite. I’m a huge shawarma fan anyway so secretly I was glad she picked that. There are 3 ways to get the shawarma — in a pita($ 8), laffa($ 14 — this is a HUGE wrap) and bowl($ 13). Didn’t want to spend too much for lunch — or eat THAT much so ordered the shawarma in pita. Wow that pita sandwich was salty and super saucy … it was almost hard to appreciate everything in that sandwich b/c there was all kinds of stuff: chicken shawarma, hummus, baba ganoush, Israeli salad & pickles, fried eggplant, harissa, tahini and amba. The upside is that the pita sandwich was pretty big. After reading the reviews again maybe next time I should try the laffa and the house mixed sodas.

Excellent shawarma laffa. Large, tasty, and filling. Yalla is amidst of a bunch of tasty food options in Krog Street Market — located in between Fred’s Meat and Bread and down the hallway from Jeni’s. «Todd’s Shawarma» laffa is basically a super-size flatbread wrap filled with well marinated meat, vegetables, and delicious sauces. You can also put kebab, falafel, or vegetables on your laffa instead of shawarma. I also ordered another special called«Layla’s Falafel Bowl». The falafels themselves were very good. Each piece was crispy, but soft in the inside, as falafels should be. The platter came with hummus and a bunch of vegetables. The vegetables were fresh and the hummus was creamy. In my opinion, the dish could have been optimized more with a slightly different set of vegetables or toppings. Still good though. I just liked the shawarma laffa a little better than the falafel bowl. This is a nice addition to the large assortment of Mediterranean restaurants in Atlanta. Also adds some diversity to the selection of food stalls at Krog Street Market.

Yummy food — laffa shawarma with pickles, onions, tahini, baba ghanoush and a spicy sauce the name of which I’ve forgotten. This is one huge wrap — way more than I need in one sitting. It’s about the size of a New England Patriots football. And I thought I was being light on the ingredients. Maybe they could offer a smaller size? You could order a pita, but that’s a different animal. Like just about everyone and their dog has stated, you’re in for a slow, inefficient process to order and receive your food. With me, I’m sure there were other things I might have wanted in my laffa but I didn’t know what everything was and I couldn’t hear the server very well. Leaning over the counter trying to figure out what stuff is just doesn’t get it. The laffa itself? Yeah, that was pretty great. Otherwise, this would be a two-star review. I also bought one of their fresh drinks — fantastic. And a brownie — to die for. And the three-cookie packet — subtly sublime. I wish I had another brownie right now …
