Had the special grouper on the day. The fish was perfectly prepared and the vegetable accompaniments were stellar! I’ll definitely be back.

Had lunch with the lovely Nekiba M. yesterday. WH is located inside of Ponce City Market. We decided we wanted some seafood, so we went for it. There are trinkets for sale as you walk in and the place is very well lit and airy, which I love. There is a raw oyster case as you walk in. They have oysters from all over and you are able to choose which you want. These are sold individually. You are able to sit at the counter and get full service and watch your food being prepared, or you can order at the register, have a seat, and have your food brought out to you. You can sit inside at the tables or they have a large outside area where one can dine. We first opted for the full service at the counter, but found the stools uncomfortable and decided on a table. As we were waiting to place our order, we saw the catch of the day(cod) sandwich and it looked and smelled good. We both went with that. The sandwich was fried and came with remoulade sauce and slaw on it. However, I opted for those items on the side. Though it didn’t say it on the menu, mine had red onion on it. Maybe they decided to substitute those for the slaw. Anyway, the fried cod was flaky and cooked nicely. It was seasoned with something spicy. My bites would differ. Sometimes they were very(too) spicy, other times bland, other bites would be perfect with the spice and seasoning not taking over the fish. The bread was very good; toasted with butter, and it was a nice sized sandwich. The sandwich came with Utz bagged chips that had a seafood seasoning on them. These were a bit salty for me and I didn’t enjoy the taste. I also got an order of the corn hush puppies. These were okay. The corn flavor did not come through as much as I expected. It comes with 4 and a sauce on the side(my pic depicts 2 puppies because two were gobbled up before the camera could get going). The star of this meal for me was the seltzer. I ordered the cucumber, lime, mint one. I loved that thing. It just tasted so fresh with the perfect blend of all the flavors and with the cucumber playing a leading role. It was a winner! The service was very good. We were checked on appropriately. Three stars.

The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The staff friendly. I throughly enjoyed eating lunch here. 4 stars and not 5 — It’s the south where’s the sweet tea? No happy hour specials? And I hate paying for parking. But this restaurant is a must try!!! You won’t be disappointed.

It’s on the pricey side, but the food was freaking delicious. We were visiting Ponce City Market for the first time and knew we wanted to grab food somewhere, but had no idea where. We passed by WH Stiles… the huge chalkboard menu mounted on the wall had caught my eye and when I saw shrimp po’ boy on the menu, I knew we’d found our place. We sat at one of the counters(I think there are 4 or 5 total, plus limited table seating). We asked our server to bring us a dozen of any kind of sweet, small oysters. She ended up selecting the Kumamoto, Shigoku and Totten Inlet oysters. Kumamoto was my favorite, but I knew that would be the case since we had eaten Kumamotos before, at Hog Island Oyster Co. in SF. For our entrees, we both opted for the shrimp po’ boy. It came with the Utz crab-flavored chips and a giant pickle spear. Their po’ boy is very similar to Star Provisions… but a couple bucks more. The mark-up is probably due to the location in PCM, but I am not sure if they sourced from Star Provisions or happen to have the same owner. I would say the bread on WH Stiles’ version was slightly better. Either way, crazy good sandwich. The bill came out to $ 75 after tax and tip which is an insane amount for lunch, but oh well.

Lobster rolls are on point! Great spot for oysters too! The oysters are well priced, lobster roll was pricey, but it was so worth it. Dare I say it is like the ones in Boston?! My husband and I came one Friday night for dinner. I didn’t think we’d be able to find a seat, but found 2 spots at the oyster bar. There’s not much space a the bar mind you, but we ordered a ton of food. Eyes bigger than our stomachs! We each ordered a lobster roll(they were hUGE with a good amount of lobster chunks and not too much mayo either, and they come with some UTZ flavored chips). We also ordered the bisque which was very good, and some oysters. Like most places in Ponce City Market they close kind of early compared to a free standing restaurant, but maybe that’s just part of their contract with the market? I would definitely recommend this place for Lobster rolls and oysters!

I have mixed feelings about Fish Camp. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the amount but the service was awful. The cashier who took my order was more than rude. She made me feel completely unwanted and uncomfortable. Customer service is everything and Fish Camp fell short. Was the food good? Yes. Was it worth the poor customer service? No.

I got reeled in by the Oyster Bar, which is in plain view from main corridor. I walked up to the bar, but ended up ordering a Shrimp Po Boy. The shrimp was cooked really well. Not too chewy, and the breading was nice and crisp. I was half expecting a nice soggy, rubbery Shrimp Po Boy, but was pleasantly surprised by what I received. The service was also very quick, almost to the point of calling it «fast food.» My girlfriend opted for the salad and some fresh clams. The clams were fresh and good. The salad, I did not try, but it looked like a salad. I got the Shrimp Po Boy with the stipulation that if it was good enough I would go ahead and spend $ 30 on the Lobster Roll on my next visit. I think I’ll be going to back to give that a try.

This spot is the truth! The smoked trout sandwich taste so good, it will make you wanna fight your mama and your jailbird uncle at the same time… but it’s not cheap! 13 bucks for just the sandwich(I guess the trout had a plane ticket from Alaska to Atlanta.) My wife really enjoyed the ginger seltzer and I highly recommend Pilsner beer. The menu is pretty much a la carte. But with the smoke trout sandwich, they kindly give you a bag of really salty potato chips. The chips are sooo salty, that if you have high blood pressure, just eat the chips and then walk straight over to Grady ER. Lol! They really don’t have a kids menu, so I ordered a basket of hush puppies for the little guy… They must have been really good because they were Houdini-ed in 12 seconds. My mama ordered the crab fritter… and YES… I dropped off the«s» One crab fritter is the size of a golf ball for $ 18… They must have thought this would be the perfect meal for the thousands of potential gastric bypass patients that would patronize the business! Seriously, you can go across the street to Kroger and buy 1 can of lump crab meat for five bucks! I thought this was unacceptable portion for the amount of money paid. We were here to eat, not taste! I spoke to our sweet-hearted server Taylor and she assisted us with the transaction. When I got a chance to meet«I believe» the owner/mgr. Let’s call her… «Mrs. Krabs!» She was not very nice in processing the refund nor does she make eye contact or attempt to communicate with me. But I wasn’t going to let her ruin my day, because I can’t be faded cuz… I’m Lem Mo from the 5th flo! The restaurant and the patio is dripping with swag. Overall the food was excellent… but the price and the management… I give a «meh!» And that’s why I gave it three stars! All I gotta say is «get your money up kid» the concept of fresh Seafood fast is on point.

WH Stiles Fish Camp, yes interesting title for a restaurant, is at the top of my list to visit of seafood places in Atlanta each time I come. This time I decided to try out their oysters from a list of 20 varieties from NW and NE regions of the U.S. This time I had asked the waiter to get me a dozen(4 varieties of 3 each) of his favorites. He chose well, as they say. You could tell each one was fresh because of the slight briney saltwater fragrance and taste. This place also makes their own homemade cocktails sauce that has a slight sweet, tangy and peppery flavor and also their own vinegar, from what I was told. The combination of all that with the horseradish and oyster was magnific! If your wondering which oyster I ended up they were James River(ME), Shigoku(WA), Kumamotu(WA) and the Chessawanock(RI) and in that order for best tasting. The next visit I’ll have to try one of their po-boys as they say on Lousiana and/or lobster rolls.

It’s tough to find great seafood in a casual environment in Atlanta, but WH Stiles delivers. They have a wide variety of raw oysters, some po’boys, chowders, and fresh fish sandwiches/salads. Food: I ordered a «fresh fish» cod sandwich. The fish tasted fresh and flavorful with a nice tartar sauce and some pickles that added a nice tartness. The batter was light and crispy, not too greasy. Overall one of the best fried fish sandwiches I’ve ever had! The portion size was huge, and my wife and I thought we could have split one and a side vs two sandwiches. The sandwiches come with a side of Utz’s chips. I liked them just fine but would have preferred something homemade. Service: We got our food to go, so I can’t judge much here. The staff was friendly, food was ready pretty quickly(considering how busy they were) Environment: Casual with lots of bar seating and tables. Bright and clean. It was packed and there wasn’t much room to maneuver. While waiting on our order, we were constantly being mistaken for someone in line and having to move out of the way of staff. They have nice outdoor patio seating like many other restaurants in Ponce City Market. Price: Our sandwiches were one of the more affordable things on the menu at $ 11. Overall it’s a bit pricey, but no more so than anywhere else in Ponce City Market. And really $ 11 for a good fish sandwich isn’t too bad, especially for the portion size you are getting. Overall I like the Fish Camp and really enjoyed the sandwich, and I’d like to go back and try the po’ boys, oysters, and chowder soon.

WH Stiles has fresh fish and oysters. It has a fresh clean look on the interior. And its super bright. And while I have not had a bad meal here, the meal I had tonight sort of underscored why this place isn’t super awesome: It’s a bit pricey because there is no other sorta fresh fish place around. Tonight, I had dinner at WH Stiles. It’s located in Ponce City Market and has an almost hospital like bright interior. You walk through the restaurant to order at the back — unless you want to sit at a table. That might be fine by myself, but I would not recommend with another person. I ordered the Kumamotos, Hollywood River and Wainos?. The Kumamotos are pretty small, but sweet. You can find them most other places. The Hollywood River were large but briney and the Wainos — again that’s not the name — were decent. But at $ 3/oyster, 12 will set you back $ 40 for an appetizer. But that’s what you’ll pay for freshness here in the South. It’s like a hip seafood shack, but with higher prices. I had the Sangria which was fresh. They made no attempt to hide the fact that it is red wine mixed with fruits. I liked that. It was in a plastic cup which was not the best presentation. Last, I had the Vietnamese Salad with Cod Fish. Essentially a fried piece of Cod — think Fish and Chips in England with a Slaw. The slaw was lightly dressed in a vinagrette with peanuts on top and was cabbage, cilantro, scallions, cucumbers, etc. A nice salad. So here’s the issue, you can spend a good deal here, because it is not cheap, and leave hungry. It’s got a great ambiance outside in the courtyard of PCM, but that’s true of most of the restaurants. You have to take it for what it is: A pricey fresh seafood shack in the middle of PCM. If you are looking for more, this isn’t it. But if you are looking for that, than this is it. Just don’t expect the great ambiance of being oceanside. It’s not quiet there yet. Think low key.

Since we have heard some good reviews about this place, I figured we should go try it. The concept is unique offering fresh oysters, other shell fish, and other seafood dishes, such as po’ boys. I gave it 3 stars because of the following: Location: it is located in Ponce City Market — downstairs pass the staircase on your left. Décor: it has plenty of seatings — inside and outside. The décor is clean; even though, it is a seafood place, it doesn’t have a fishy smell. Service: you can either order at the host counter for take out — so you can sit outside and people watch, or sit inside and get full service. We decided to sit at the counter near the back kitchen inside to get full service. They have bar stool, which weren’t very comfortable, but they also have benches and regular chairs… I think we just chose the wrong seats. Our server was extra nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food: we ordered the shrimp po’boy, catfish(fish of the day) sandwich, calamari, and 3 different oysters. The shrimp po’boy was ok, nothing spectacular. My bf said that his catfish sandwich was good. Really big in size! The calamari was excellent! It is definitely a must try! I really wanted to try the lobster roll, but they ran out for the day. So sad. :(I don’t eat raw oysters, but my bf said that they were good, however, wasn’t worth the price. He also had the Mamma’s Little Yella Pilsner beer, which he said tasted similar to Stella. Good, but the size of the glass wasn’t worth the price. Price: we personally thought that the prices were high for what we ordered. We ordered 3 oysters — $ 7.50, shrimp po’boy — $ 13, fish sandwich — $ 11, calamari — $ 11, beer — $ 4.50… Total: $ 50ish for lunch. Overall, I would come back to try the lobster roll, but nothing else.

I only eat here for the cod sandwich of the day. which happens more than once a week, I think! I always get the grapefruit lime seltzer + this cod sandwich. The cod is always so freshly fried and crunchy and the extra toppings on top make it delicious. My husband and I split it and he gets the iced tea — you can add sweetener at the end. The sandwich is always fresh, the bun is pretty sturdy and it come with i think a coleslaw thing, with pickles and a bag of crab seasoning chips which is amazing. You can sit outside when it’s warmer and you just leave your tray there, someone will bus it away for you. I got the po boy before also, it’s pretty big. I’m full after ½ a sandwich… one day we decided to go halfsies on the Po Boy and the Cod Sandwich — big mistake. there’s just so much bread that it fills you up but also they’re pretty big. Anyways, since I live across the street from PCM, this is one of my go-tos when I’m looking for a quick meal during the week!

I think this is my favorite stall so far from my experience at PCM. Although I don’t know how fresh the seafood is, they don’t try anything crazy with their menu and is pretty straightforward. I had the«today’s catch sandwich» and a cup of their chowder. Catch of the day was cod and it was fried and placed in a nice toasty bun with some slaw. The sandwich itself was huge served with some crab flavored chips(surprising i liked it. you can taste the celery seasoning). The soup was okay… maybe it was too creamy for me. My friend ordered the crab fritters and those were so good. This is definitely a must! Crispy on the outside and crabby meat on the inside mixed with some corn and herbs! YUMMM

WH Stiles Fish Camp is a great place to visit if you get hungry while shopping at Ponce City Market or running along the Beltline. It’s located in the center of the food court at PCM — just look for the place with the huge oyster bar! I actually came here twice during the week I was in Atlanta — first as an afternoon snack(shopping makes me hungry) and the second as dinner. The oyster bar was initially what caught our eye, and we decided to try Fish Camp out after seeing the menu, which lists about 15 – 20 different cities where the oysters come from. We ordered a half-dozen oysters(2 Bodie Island, 2 Sweet Jesus, and I forgot the name of the other 2… oops), which came with lemons, saltines, horseradish, cocktail and some sort of delicious vinegar. Each oysters varies in size and price, and we ended up really enjoying the ones from Bodie Island, SC($ 1.50 each). All the oysters we tried tasted incredibly fresh, and served as a great afternoon snack. For my dinner visit, being a huge fan of Cajun, I had to get the shrimp po’boy($ 13). It’s a little on the pricey end, but the shrimp were are all pretty big. The sandwich also comes with a pickle as well as a bag of crab chips(which were so, so good). I thought that there was just the right amount of Cajun mayonnaise, which seasoned the lettuce, tomato and fried shrimp perfectly. We also got another half-dozen oysters, all of which were Bodie Island. One thing that I thought was a little weird during my visits — they charged us for tap water(50 cents/cup), which seems kind of ridiculous. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the freshness of the food here, which I think justifies their prices to some extent.

My gfs and I had a GNO at the Ponce Market and we were going to sample some of the eateries offered. I’ve been eyeing the lobster roll since the first time that my bf and I visited the market. Upon entering the place, you are greeted with a huge oyster bar to your left with chairs and table that is connect to the bar. Behind the glass(?) oysters lay on their bed of ice. There you can have full service or walk farther down to place your order with the cashier. To the right,(near the entrance) are knick knacks that you are able to purchase and as you walk farther down, there tables, chairs, and booths that you can sit if you wish after placing your order. We place our order and gave them our names, so that they can call out when your order is ready. The Lobster meat is served cold and the bun toasty. The bun was delish! It had the right combo of butter and the white fluff. They definitely do not skimp out on the meat, mine had big chunks and stuff where it was falling out. The roll has a Asian twist to it. They add Thai basil as a condiment. It is wither out but it wasn’t too bad. The roll comes with a bag of Utz’s chips seasoned with bay seasoning, which is different. I tried my friend’s clam chowder and it is delish, I think I will definitely order that the next time I am there… the taste is different, almost a sweet version with a bit of a spicy kick. The roll is $ 21 which isn’t too bad and it is a lot bigger than the one at Octopus Bar.

This review is based on my first real dining experience. On my first visit, I sampled others’ food. On this visit, I made my own order. Since I was eating with a friend who was getting something else, I was ordering to go so we could sit in the common area. The line to order was quite long! And there was only one register going. I don’t know why they didn’t have two. And the line was slow going, as well. By the time I had ordered, my friend ordered and ate a bun a Simply Seoul, waited around at El Super Pan for a while(then finding out only those on a friends and family list could order), and got food from Farm to Ladle. Seriously. That is pretty shameful. Once you order, only takes 5 – 10 minutes to get your food. So that’s good. Got ketchup and water to go. Staff was helpful and nice. The sandwich was very good. The fish was a thick cut. Fried perfectly. Nice bun. Plenty of toppings. Though I did like it better with the ketchup I added. However, the sandwich started to fall apart as I ate it. I think it would be smart to cut the sandwich in half before eating. I plan on taking my mom when she next comes out to visit so she can try it out. She loves fish sandwiches.

We found ourselves at Ponce City Market on a Friday, wandering around to see what would be quick and delicious, and decided on WH Stiles Fish Camp. We ordered at the cashier, getting the Fish of the Day(Catfish) Vietnamese Crispy Salad, the Fish of the Day(Cod) Crispy Sandwich, and the chowder. We filled our waters and sat at the counter. It appears that we could’ve just sat at the counter and ordered, as others had. We got to watch our meals being prepped as the counters are quite close to the open kitchen. The chowder was creamy, but not thick, with nice chunks of corn, cauliflower, and mushroom, and some clam. I was not a fan of the huge croutons, but that was a personal taste preference, as Jimmy ate all that I left with a big smile on his face. I did enjoy my crispy fish salad, which was crispy fish on top of slaw with herbs. The Vietnamese flavors were too subtle, since while the fish was perfectly flaky, and the slaw was light, I didn’t taste anything other than fried fish or slaw. The one bite of Jimmy’s sandwich that I got was good — again, perfectly flaky fish with slightly tangy remoulade. Prices are a little high, but I thought all the ingredients tasted fresh and thoughtful, so probably worth it.

The Georgia Trout was lovely on a bed of coleslaw and a side of potato chips. A filling AND fulfilling lunch. The best thing about this restaurant is the ambiance. It looks like a set from a Wes Anderson movie. The service was also great. The price of $ 15 for the trout was fine because the cook on it was delicious and although served with a bag of chip, the protein was satisfactory. If the fish truly is fresh, then $ 15 is totally fair. $ 16 with tax, I left a $ 20 on my check and didn’t feel robbed. No more free parking at PCM(for visitors or residents), so unless you are walking in from the beltline, you may wanna factor in a couple of bucks for parking. I will definitely eat here again. They have other options that look delicious(and less on the healthier side) such as po’boys and more. Yet have a wide selection of oysters/clams between $ 2-$ 4 a pop(on average) – this is something I am looking forward to trying next time.

I think they are still experimenting with the hours, but I came for lunch. It’s the third Anne Quantro restaurant I’ve been to and it did not dissapoint! If you don’t like seafood, don’t come here. Right when you walk in the smell of fresh seafood hits you. I just tried the crab beignets and they were awesome! Took a little while to get but they were cooked right to order. They have a ton of different kinds of oysters, and the menu shows you all the different locations where they are shipped in from. Great addition to Ponce City!
