We stopped on our walk on the Beltline for some small afternoon refreshments. The slushy rum and coke was bomb. Nice way to cool off on a hot summer day. Ramen noodle dish was tasty as well as the sandwiches. Yes they are on the small side but they are packed with flavor. Popcorn of the day was ranch and very tasty — nice big bowl served to the table.

Im not a huge fan of the food here because everything seems to be laden with cream sauce or greasy cooking oil. its not a place that has something for everyone. but the space is cool. theres a ping pong table i think in the back and lots of patio seating. it seems like the perfect place to hang with friends and drink on a lazy weekend day. the vibe is very counter culture as well. kinda like grungy with that olé Inman hipster flair

All I have to say is Jack n’ Coke smoothies and ping pong. This bar is a blast and a must visit when you walk the Beltline! It also serves the most amazing popcorn. It’s slathered in butter and some spices and is a great complement to your adult smoothie! In short, Victory is a real«winner!»

keywords: chill, cheap, friendly, casual, summer A hidden neighborhood gem, Victory Sandwich Bar is a casual dive-bar to chill, grab a bite to eat, and just catch up with friends over drinks. Q: HOWBIGARETHESANDWICHES? A: The sandwiches are about 4″ x 4″, they’re small, but incredibly calorie-dense. All the sandwiches are good. Read the menu and figure out which one sounds good to you. If you’re hungry order 2 sandwiches, otherwise, the single sandwich is a good snack. Seating is somewhat limited, and on certain evenings it can get really busy. I like the garage-door windows that open up when the weather is nice. It sets to mood to be very casual and very ‘summer.’ If you decide to sit outside, order at the bar. They’ll give you a number and bring your food to you once its ready. This place is very dog friendly, so bring Fido along, too. Parking is difficult. It’s just street parking. Just an FYI. So, carpooling or biking or walking or something other than individual cars is the way to go. I think the coolest thing about this place is its proximity to the Beltline – it’s on the Beltline. It acts as an awesome pit-stop or place to chill while exploring the SE segment of the Beltline. It’s also right next to King of Pops, so you can go over there after you’ve enjoyed a nice sandwich. Other random things: Friday nights tend to be very busy, so just a heads up. Also, Tuesday evenings tend to be very busy due to Yoga in the Park, which takes place at the nearby park(so if you’re wondering why everyone is dressed in yoga attire, that would be why, probably.)

I’m a fan of Victory and love coming here with friends for a great booze slushy! But tonight our waitress Maddy was very rude to our whole table. She was inattentive and essentially forced my friend to order a drink. I’ll come back, but only with a different waitress.

I don’t traditionally love sandwiches but this was a GREAT sandwich. The toasted bread had that crunch you look for and had its own flavor that added complexity to the sandwich without overpowering the other flavors. Alongside the spectacular food, you get a great view of the beltline and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I only give five stars to restaurants I will dream about and I will definitely be salivating in my sleep tonight.

Victory was great for a Friday night out with the girls! We got the the popcorn of the day(ranch) as an appetizer. It was rich but good. It’s enough to share so you’ll only need one bowl for your table. I ended up ordering the Tea Bird and Hambo sandwiches. They come with a few chips so no need to spring for the extra 1.50 for chips unless you really like them. The Tea Bird was great but the ghost pepper jack cheese was really spicy so beware! Our server was attentive and we sat at the communal tables on the patio and met some really cool guys, who actually helped us pick our menu choices. Would return again. Definitely a great spot to hang out with friends!

Bar service was fast and friendly. Standing room only. Tables are first come first serve. Outdoor seating and DJ was nice. Went for the jack & coke slushy and was surprised how amazing it was. I don’t even like jack but this was great. Right next to the belt line and so a lot of the Atlanta bicycle crowd. Brings in a variety of people. Good for people watching. There is a fun little miniature Inman Park storefront around the corner. Doll size.

I was here around 8pm on a Wednesday with my friends. Looks like there a parking lot you can park next to this place, but we got lucky and found street parking. They were pretty busy and the waitress said we could either find a table outside, by the bar or just stand around and wait for a table. Sitting outside would have been nice but it was full and there were people smoking(no thanks. second hand smoke!). There’s not a real formal seating process here it seems. We squeezed the 3 of us by the bar and ordered our food and was able to grab a table after placing an order(thank goodness because the bar was crowded and really hot). The sandwiches here only around 4 dollars, but the portion reflects its price. It’s a fist size sandwich + a handful of chips. I like the small portion since I can’t eat a lot and there’s a good variety of sandwiches. I got the tea bird which has chicken, ghost pepper jack, and sweet tea mayo in it. The ghost pepper jack makes the sandwich spicy — but not unbearable especially with the sweet tea mayo counterbalancing the flavors. The bun is toasted or pressed like a panini so it’s crispy which I liked. The chips were a bit greasy and brittle but is a good snack if you’re having a drink I suppose. Not a huge fan of the busy, crowded vibe here but a decent sandwich for only $ 4 is pretty good.

Look, I’m a grown man. I don’t like being spoon fed. I want to have a satiable experience without having to double my order. Just charge me more for an adult size meal and we’ll call it even. When the server tells me I need an additional sandwich I know something ain’t right. Finger sandwiches, no matter how tasty, belong at luncheons, book club meetings or baby showers. The sammiches themselves ain’t bad at all. But next time I get some would be in a catering format. I’ll take a side of Jack Daniel coke slushy too. My review notwithstanding, I do appreciate the variety and concepts in the Inman Park area. You can get just about anything along the Beltline these days. So stopping to get a quick sammich isn’t a bad idea if you’re trying to whet your appetite.

While visiting the ATL I had lunch here with some friends. Great place with a fun vibe. It was nice out and my friend had brought his dog so we sat outside. Pretty popular place, the line was out the door! But, I could see why once we got our food. I got the the house salad which was great, dressing was delish and I love a salad with apples. My friends got the Tea Bird and the Hambo. Portions aren’t huge, which is nice. Totally had room for dessert, which we We should have gotten. I would totally go back.

Delicious sandwiches! They are pretty small but very tasty. I like that they are grilled too. They also have a good drink selection and everything is inexpensive. There is outdoor seating as well! The location is inconspicuous so keep an eye out when your GPS says you are arriving.

I’ve heard many good things about Victory, and this past weekend I finally got to try it for myself. I almost wish it wasn’t so hyped up for me because naturally, I had high expectations. The restaurant itself is very hipster, but it’s definitely a cool place to hang out at night. We came in with a party of six and we had to wait a few minutes for a table since it was pretty packed. All tables are first come first serve, so we kind of just hovered for a bit until a table left. My friend and I decided to split two sandwiches and the side of ramen. Sandwiches are very small so it’s good to get a couple if you’re hungry. 1) Tea Bird — chicken, ghost pepper jack, tomato, lettuce, sweet tea mayo: This sandwich was pretty tasty but I was expecting more of a kick to it. 2) Banh Appetit for Destruction — char-sui pork, sesame mayo, pickled veggies, cilantro: This was very mediocre unfortunately. I was most looking forward to this one, but it wasn’t anything special. I was just focusing on keeping the sandwich together as I was eating it, but it was definitely very destructed, if that’s the effect they were going for. Too messy and not much flavor in my opinion. 3) Ramen — cold«ramen» with sesame, scallion, and peanuts. As my friend mentioned in a review below, the«ramen» was not in fact ramen at all. It was a cold noodle dish that didn’t even use the ramen noodle, so I don’t know why they would call it that. False advertising for sure. I wasn’t a huge fan of this at all. My friends ordered a couple of drinks which they said were delicious — the famous jack and coke slushie, and the cocktails were pretty good(can’t remember the names), but doesn’t seem like you can go wrong there.

Food was underwhelming for me. Reading the menu had me really excited. Okay fine the Tea Bird($ 4) I thought, was pretty good. There was a nice tang to it with baby lettuce. It said it had ghost pepper jack cheese… whimpy. The Banh Appetit for Destruction($ 5), which is a play on banh mi with char-sui pork and jalapeño, was alright. The pork didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t tender. My friend and I planned to split half/half so that we could try both sandwiches. We asked the server if they could cut it in half, of which she said she would just bring a knife. So then I had to try and cut with a blunt butter knife. Like what the hell, can you not cut it with your actual kitchen knives?! Biggest disappointment was the«ramen». This was basically a cold noodle dish, kind of like Dan Dan noodles or pad thai. Definitely not ramen. In fact it irks me that they label it as such. It’s like going to an Italian restaurant and calling fettuccine, angel hair. It was honestly difficult to eat, cause the texture for the noodles was pretty bad too. The best part would have to be the chips that come with the sandwiches — they’re like the Black pepper cape cod chips. Our table also ordered the popcorn, which was cheddar garlic, and the pimento and bacon jam spread which came with really hard toast. The bacon jam was like a smoky sweet jam. It’s a fine establishment to come with friends and drink. Prices for the sandwiches were pretty cheap.

Loved the service and the atmosphere was nice. Our waitress was amazing and super attentive. The lack of the 5th star is for the food. I had the Cuban sand which and there just wasn’t anything special there. I know it’s simple, in terms of amount of ingredients, but a little bit of creativity goes a long way. I appreciate a restaurant that puts their own spin on a classic without taking away the true essence of the sand which. The«Raman» noodle side was just okay as well. Not really tradition Raman and more of just a cold pasta salad. Idk I’m torn, I will go back for sure to try another sandwich and see if their homemade takes are better then the classics, or this sandwich place just ends up making mediocre sandwiches. If the next one is just decent then I’ve seen enough and it’s on to the next one. I love and live for a great tasting, high profile sandwich and if your a place that is known for its sandwiches, it best be delicious.

I know you want a Jack and Coke slushie, but don’t pass up the Paloma! Garlic cheddar popcorn was the flavor of the day and I was so happy to shove it in my face and not worry about getting kissed later. #WorthIt — We also shared the hummus of the day. I was happy with snacking while I was there but everyone’s sammies looked good. Dig the porch seating. We were there with a big group on a Sunday. We ordered food at the register and they delivered. Then the server also took our additional drink orders so that was cool. Jack and Coke slushies were the fav around the table. However, my winner was their version of a Paloma! They have the Mexican Jarritos in a bottle so they just poured some out, popped in some tequila and a touch of lime juice and it was EVERYTHING I ever wanted in a Paloma. I had at least 4 within and hour and a ½. Pure deliciousness. Great spot to hang on a Sunday afternoon.

I love the one in Decatur, so I kind of knew I’d love the one here too. Especially since it’s near the Beltline and King of Pops! Parking — there’s a small lot and some street parking. This place gets super busy at night time. Definitely go at a random time. Space & Service — They do have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating looks cool. Has a roof too, so you won’t have to be worried about getting rained on. The owner was smart in doing that. Some places in Atlanta fail at having a roof for their outdoor seating. The service is good. They don’t really come back often to check on you BUT you can easily get their attention. Victory is a chill place to hang so I wouldn’t expect constant attention from folks — which isn’t a bad thing! Food — My favorites so far are Beast on Yeast and the Tea Bird. Both are done nicely and taste so delicious. MMMM. The sauces inside go really well together with the entire thing. Oh the meat is also very good in both of them too. Along with a sandwich, you get a small portion of chips. But I usually get a side anyway, so I’m not too saddened: P The side of ramen looks like pad thai, but tastes like ramen. I wouldn’t mind getting it again. It fills me up with my sandwiches. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing, but gets the job done.

Well, I hope this place survives longer than previous couple of tenants because it’s a great concept well executed. Just as with the Decatur location. Parking can be an issue but maybe not for a weekday lunch. Their small parking lot can handle a few cars. It’s best to sneak up on the lot by looping around Bernina Ave from the 4-way stop down by Pure Taqueria and Fritti/Sotto Sotto. Sandwiches are small, so you may want two. I went with the Bahn Appetit and the Beeter. Both excellent. The Bahn Appetit is meat-heavy with a nice cucumber balance. If you’re looking for Victory’s version of the bahn mi, this isn’t it. But it’s good in its own right. The Beeter is mostly beet with some not very spicy kimchi. The menu description is ‘pastrami smoked beets’ but it is completely vegetarian, as my server was quick to point out after I ordered. Maybe some customers are disappointed by the lack of smoked meat in the sandwich once it arrives at the table. Not sure what ‘pastrami smoked’ means but the beets are very tasty. The sandwiches come with potato chips and what nice chips they are. But you don’t get very many of them. In fact, a disappointingly small portion. Great service, very attentive and friendly. Music was a little loud. I had trouble understanding my server so I moved out to the patio where it was not quite as loud. There’s a ping-pong table? A walk on the nearby Beltline afterwards was nice although I needed to move my car out of their lot first.
