Pad Woon Sen served like soup — very soupy and drowning in sauce. yuck — add that to very short list of food i have ever returned in my life. I took my money back, and didnt even order anything else as I was turned off — plus, this is not the first time I found their food to be unappealing. Hubby stayed and ate his curry, but he too agreed that the quality and taste of the food served at the perimeter location is much better. We received coupons in the mail for this particular location, and even with that, we refuse to come back. Will stick with the perimeter location from this point on.

I love this place for what it is. Fast, fresh Asian Fusion food. Yes you can go get the real thing somewhere else, but you’ll pay more and feel weird sitting by yourself in a booth for 6 or more in dark lighting. This is perfect when I need my Asian Noodle fix on the go, and Yes it probably gets crowded during the lunch rush but what’s not crowded during lunch rush, except the bad places. So far the Pad Woon Sen(Glass Noodles) w/Chicken is my favorite, of course that’s the only thing I’ve had here so far but it’s delicious. Eventually I will try the other items and I’m sure they will be delicious as well. I always get a Fresh Thai Basil Roll on the side because, why not. They’re pretty big compared to a standard size, but I think it’s because it’s a Veggie Roll. I’m OK with that since I have plenty of chicken in my noodles. I just love the freshness of it and dunking it in the Tamarind dip. This is the spot and it wouldn’t hurt to check it out for yourself.

I decided to try this restaurant after a couple of fairly positive recommendations from friends. When I first walked in, the décor was not at all what I expected. It was surprisingly ‘industrial.’ There is absolutely zero atmosphere, but I guess that’s not really what you’re there for. I ordered the Teriyaki Stir Fry and it was great. Also, the service was quick. But the menu is not very diverse and it is definitely more of a quick bite and leave type of place. I would definitely give this location another try though.

I’ve had Tin Drum at several other locations so I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. From the beginning, I heard literally every single customer have problems putting in their orders with the cashier. Bizarre. Then when I got up there, they told me they don’t take Amex when I tried to pay… Uhhm, ok. it’s 2016. So they said it had to do with their internet connection and that AMEX wouldn’t work because of that. Right. So, I said«try it» and sure enough, what do you know… it worked. Yup, next time get your story straight about why you don’t want to take AMEX… I’d rather hear«The owner doesn’t want to pay the 1% extra fee…» over blaming it on an internet connection, because that literally doesn’t even make sense. Our order didn’t come out correctly, but they did get it right after we said something. I went back a week or so later, and was told they don’t take AMEX again… because their internet connection was messed up. Right, this again. So I asked them to try, and the girl finally said«well the owner wants us to blame the internet, but really he just doesn’t want to take american express.» Ok, finally some honestly. But really? You’re willing to lose 100% of my business over a 1% fee? That’s not very good math. Beyond that, every time I’ve been there, the food comes out differently. And I mean the exact same dish. Consistency in these fast casual places matters. When I place an order, I expect it to be basically the same each time, maybe with some slight, understandable variation. Here, it’s very different each time. Other Tin Drum’s aren’t like that. Unless they change their goofy AMEX policy, I won’t be going back. :/

This was a quick lunch stop for me and my co-workers. The workers here are friendly but work very slow and the restaurant is overall clean so I gave it 2 stars. I ordered a veggie lo men with tofu and Thai tea. It was so salty. I felt that my food was dumped in salt and plated for me. My noodles were not hot, it was lukewarm. It wasn’t cooked just heated then dumped into a bowl. It was busy during lunch time so maybe they needed to clear out orders but our food was not properly cooked. Both my co-workers dishes were equally salty. We will be avoiding this place from now on.

I attempted to go to lunch here today, and after waiting in a lengthy line the cashier proceeded to tell us they were locking the doors and told us all to leave. She said she couldn’t reach the manager and that she and the cooks were too overwhelmed to take anymore orders. It was literally 12:15pm on a Friday and they kicked us all out and locked the doors. I proceeded to watch several groups of people attempt to go inside and could not because the doors were locked. I have no idea what happened, but it was the most bizarre situation I have ever encountered. I will never go back here again.

Go for the real thing. I was not impressed with the food my first time at Tin Drum. I ordered tofu Pad Thai and while the portion size was good, I found the tofu to be too soft and soggy, and the sauce to be overly salty. Add to that the awkward earful I got from the cashier about being overworked and understaffed. Uh… sorry, buddy? My usual authentic Thai place was closed this day which is why I gave Tin Drum my first and potentially last try.

Don’t like this place one bit. Thought I ordered wrong the first time with the jasmine rice and orange chicken. Just not to my taste, the second ordered the Singapore noodles and man oh man was that bad. The soba noodles on the other hand were edible, but I’d take my money back if I could. The service staff is good, it’s jut the food that lets them down badly.

Fast casual Asian street food. Has a cool street vibe, kinda like an Asian market feel. Very quick service! I saw a lot of couples and families with babies grab food from here. I even sat outside on a nice November night! Loved the basil roll and crab cream cheese egg roll was perfectly done and full of flavor. My spicy soba noodle bowl was delicious — maybe a little too sweet but the right amount of heat. Wish we had a Tin Drum in NY!!!

The correct phone number is:(678) 388‑0514 for this location. And this is a great Asian spot! You can’t go wrong. This one gets busy at lunch but just call in a carry out order :)

Be careful when substituting an ingredient! They will charge you for the extra ingredient but not deduct the one you don’t want. I do not eat meat and asked them to add broccoli as a substitute for chicken. Hey, they make more money, right? Well, they charged me for both and when I brought it up after seeing the bill they would not correct it! They said the system is designed to that and they cannot change it. They refused to refund the extra charge… a mere .75. Ok, so I long learned to pick my battles and just took the food and left. To add insult to injury, upon arriving at home, the dish was not even what I ordered! On top of that there were almost no veggies… just noodles. Other than all that and it costing almost $ 10 it was a really good experience… .ugh! I won’t be going back to a place that takes advantage of those that support it. Lots of other good places to eat with 100′.

The late dinner duo worked out great for me and the hubs. His first time, he had mango chicken. My first time at this particular location and everything was delicious and compared well to the other locations I have been too. Counter service was super nice at this location.

In town on a business trip, I often struggle with food options in this area. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty, but most are chain restaurants that I can try back home. Usually travelling to a cool city like Atlanta, I often try to find new places to eat. Tin Drum seemed to be a nice consolation, a chain I have yet to try or see back home. I was intrigued by the Asian-fusion-noodle-bowl vibe and I can’t ever think of a time where a bowl of noodles or stir fry doesn’t sound appetizing. There were a number of decent sounding options, and I opted for the Sing Chow Mein. The order came out quickly and I found my noodle bowl to be fairly fulfilling. That being said, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I just felt something is missing about this place and the food. Either way, a decent option in the area for one craving noodles.

All my Georgia Tech Co-Workers were nothing but overly excited at the possibility of Tin Drum near by. After months of waiting, it finally happened. This location seems to be plagued by all the problems of a new eating establishment. Slow service with the root cause being, one cook only. Regardless, the food is tasty. I ordered their pad thai and thought that the noodles were a little under cooked, but enjoyed the flavors. Not a place I will crave, but definitly a place I wouldn’t mind coming back to.

I love the perimeter location, but this was not as good. I ordered Thai Basil roll and they served it without sauce, took long time to get it. The rice skin was dry and hard, the veg inside tasted fermented. Vi think they make in advance and they sit. The chicken teriyaki was good, chicken a little dry. I’ll give this location a pass.

This place is just ok compared to the one in perimeter. singapore street noodles was liquidy one time and dry some time so not consistent Also the text offer they send on Mondays(double the protein) says its on ALL entrees. but the store refuses to honor it for any steak items and kimchi dishes

This is the most overrated place out there. Sure, the food tastes okay — if you don’t know what the dish is supposed to taste like. If you’re accustom to indian food, don’t order indian here, accustom to Thai food, don’t get Thai here, you get the picture. The food is not authentic by any means, it is all«how can we make this dish without all the real ingredients» food. Count me out.

Tin Drum just opened this month here in Cumberland. Definitely worth the wait. The food is amazing, especially for those who love stir fry bowls with flavorful sauce, perfectly cooked meats and veggies. The cashier was very welcoming upon arrival and the food came not too long after ordering. The eating area is very clean with nice music playing. Definitely a great weekday spot for lunch or dinner. I’ll definitely be back.

I must say that I love the Tin Drum chain, so I’m glad to see a new one pop up. The food came very quickly and tasted like Tin Drum should! This location is smaller than any of the other locations I have visited, but there were still plenty of tables(each seating four people). Probably my only complaint would be that it was rather cold in the restaurant. Hopefully next time it will be warmer! I plan on dropping by for another taste and will probably give an update. Stop and give it a try, I doubt you’ll regret it.
