Very friendly and personable staff. Head chef is a middle-aged mother that speaks no English and wait staff seem to be her daughters. Tacos were great and the radishes(optional on the side) were a great twist.

Really enjoyed our food. The salsas were very yummy and had a nice kick. The staff was super friendly, and we liked the ambiance as well. Super fun. It’s small, but delicious. Would definitely recommend. Stays open pretty late too!

This is a small spot that has a Mexican lunch buffet. It offers a few different selections, but one in particular stood out and that was the whole fried fish. I went for some tacos, 2 carne Asada and 2 pollo. They were pretty good but salsa they have really kicks it up a notch. I also got a bottle coke which was pretty expensive. 4 tacos and a coke was over $ 11 bucks. Would try this spot again but would get the fried fish.

I am impressed. You’d never expect to find such a cool place serving up good Mexican eats at this hour. But here it is. Right here in Hapeville. Open until 2am. That’s 2AM! In Hapeville!(Where everything else is shutting down before 9pm.) Indeed, if you’re really into an off-the-beaten-path, late-night thing, you should visit Don Chon instead of going to the insipid chicken place down the street. This is hole-in-the-wall dining at its best. No frills. It’s an old building but it’s clean. When I visited, it was almost 12:30am, and I was served immediately and with a smile. I had two tacos: Al Pastor, and the Asada. It took about five minutes for my order to hit the table. They smelled great, and tasted delicious. I’m having trouble deciding which was my favorite. It may be the al pastor. My meal arrived with a big plate of fresh-cut limes, radishes, and cucumbers, along with a selection of sauces and salsas. The hot one is very, very nice – good heat without blowing my socks off. And there are other good looking things on the menu: chorizo, lengua, and tripa among them. It appears these guys have a thriving lunch buffet. This may also be worth checking out. I’m definitely going back for more. Holler if you’re coming with.

I went here about a week ago. We were passing through; didn’t know what to expect. They have a lunch buffet and the place was SPOTLESS so we decided to stay. I’m so glad we did. The food was delicious with a variety of heat levels. I rarely find a restaurant around here that offers the amount of spice that I like — but I was happy. So, thankfully, were my ‘wimpier’ friends. I’ll be back!
