If i were to recommend a restaurant in atlanta it would be this restaurant. If i were to recommend a waiter at this restaurant it would be Saul… Amazing food and service. Buen trabajo Saul. He and the rest of the staff made me feel at home.

Great atmosphere and phenomenal frozen margaritas. Chris is the best waiter ever. We’ve been lucky enough to have him serve us twice and he seriously always takes great care of us. I will be coming back again and again.

This place has a great staff. They are friendly and attentive. They have a great menu which has something for every eater. The place is large with a huge outdoor patio. The bar is also cool as it is really long, running the length of the restaurant on the right side as you enter. Great drinks and average prices.

This restaurant is my Cheers spot. I know I can come here, sit at the bar and have good food with a good drink. They have a large selection of liquor especially tequila. The menu is very authentic with open access to see the kitchen. They have an outdoor patio for nice weather days. The busiest times are the evening or during sports events. My go to is the southern taco with rice. They make sure to familiarize themselves with your name to make the experience personal. Chips and salsa come out within minutes of being seated. Don’t look for queso… ask for cheese dip. My only hiccup is the turnover of staff. As soon as I get comfortable with a bartender, another one is there in place my next visit. My last visit was great because my bartender and staff sang happy birthday which included a shot and dessert.

This is the 2nd time I’ve had lunch at T&T. I think I had a burrito 1st trip in but can’t recall for sure. This time I had the lunch special #2: beef burrito & cheese enchilada with rice. Good, standard Tex-Mex food. The kind I like. I’m so far not a fan of traditional Mexican fare. At least not the few meals I’ve had that I’ve been told were authentic(incl one in Mexico!). Their cheese dip with jalapenos is quite yummy. Just be warned that the jalapenos are pureed throughout so there’s no chance of picking around any diced jalapenos for those of you afraid of some heat. Service was prompt & constant without being overbearing at all. Drinks were kept filled. They have a great patio overlooking Ponce(right across from Ponce City Market). I’ll return!

Mediocre tacos. Mediocre drinks. I’m sure this place is probably good on any other day other than Cinco De Mayo, but I really didn’t care for my visit here. We were seated relatively quickly, but weren’t even given water. We had to ask for water. The chips came out before the salsa and we waited for what seemed like forever before the salsa came out. We ordered shrimp tacos… the shrimp was so crunchy and BURNT! I don’t even think I finished eating my taco because I couldn’t get past the burn taste. I’m sure Bc of the holiday they were really busy, but judging from the food I received I can’t say that I would ever go back.

Decent food, reasonably priced, and great service. I arrived at T&T on Monday, slightly before noon, to meet a friend for lunch. The host quickly seated me at a booth, and the server greeted me in some friendly Spanish. My friend was about 30 – 40 minutes late, but the server attentively kept my drink and the chips/salsa filled(note: the chips and salsa are pretty delicious). She also stopped by a couple times to check up on me with friendly comments, because it totally looked like I was stood up on a date or something. My friend finally arrived, and I ordered 3 tacos off the taco bar menu(al pastor with pork, carne asada with chicken, and fish) and a small cup of chicken tortilla soup. Everything was tasty, but nothing blew me away. I’ve definitely had better tacos elsewhere. However, the total for my meal came out to less than $ 11 – 12(I’m not 100% sure because my friend paid). It was a good amount of food for a good price. Some notes about the menu. There’s a LOT of food to choose from, and there is also a separate lunch menu that isn’t shown on their website. Lunch is generally cheaper, but the portions might be smaller. I specifically noticed that the soup, tacos, and fajitas are cheaper for lunch. Also, while browsing through their drink menu, I noticed that they have a huge selection of tequila brands and margaritas(which I probably should have expected, given the name of the restaurant). Overall, a great place for a reasonably priced lunch with friendly servers. I plan to return to try some of their drinks in the future.

This space has seemed to have trouble keeping a successful tenant. I hope Tacos & Tequila stays around for a while. It’s decent Tex-Mex. I do think that T&T has an element of freshness above similarly priced restaurants in Midtown. I’ve had tacos as well as quesadillas. Especially lovely is the quesadilla tejana. It includes chicken, steak, and shrimp plus bell peppers and onions. It is a very generous portion, enough to share, or keep half for another meal. T&T makes great margaritas as well. Actually getting kind of hungry. I may go here for lunch today! But yeah, good food, decent service and the price is right. I’m a fan.

This is a good Mexican restaurant. Seems to me like it is really authentic. The place it self is nice and inviting. They have a patio, decent inside eating areas, and a medium size bar. The salsa that is served with the chips are a little too spicy. Food was very good… I had the shrimp tacos and chicken empanada’s The margarita’s are great! They have a lot of varieties of margarita’s that i wanna try in the future. I will definitely be back to this spot. Really glad I found out about it. This is a must try, i know that you will love this place. Service was good, and the prices were very reasonable.

Great hidden gem! Thanks to our outstanding server Christopher! As a first timer, Christopher took the time to go over the menu and drinks with us and he provided great choices. He was very attentive to all his tables and kept making sure we were okay. I had tacos — southern(fried chicken) and Baja fish; excellent! Mexican rice and black beans were yummy too! My beverage, Texas margarita was on point — just the right mix. I enjoyed my meal and drink and I will be back… thanks Christopher!

Went here for the first time during a work Conference. Took someone very special to eat here for their birthday. Was not dissapointed. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas, as I use that as a gauge for determining flavor at all Mexican restaurants. It was good, a little on the dry side. This was the first time I ordered chorizo con queso. Sooo good. The birthday celebration was a nice surprise with the employees coming out and singing, they also brought a sweet banuelo type dessert. Customer service and ambience excellent. They made the birthday celebration memorable… for that special someone in my life. Muchas gracias…

Wow! Great food and even better prices! My friend-couple that was with me shared a bill of $ 12 for lunch and they both had full plates of food. I ordered the Steak Stuffed Poblano Pepper and it was super fantastic. I mean seriously, so good. The steak was cooked perfectly to order at medium-rare. I could taste the wood they used to cook it with. I’ve been to steak restaurants that didn’t produce a steak as good as this one. The cheese-stuffed poblano pepper that came with it was also so very good. It was delicious! Salsa and chips were quick coming and so were the refills for each. The house-made salsa I liked because of the cilantro in it. It was a little spicy, which I didn’t mind one bit, but it was an issue for some at the table. Service was good too. Plenty of water refills and a friendly waitress. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire dining experience here.

Middle of the road Tex-Mex with really good Salsa. I ordered the fish tacos which came with rice and beans and some avocado and chipotle sauce and mango salsa. Fairly reasonable pricing with most entrees under $ 20. It’s a nice place to go if you find yourself in the area.

This is my 2nd review and 2nd time visiting and they are very different experiences. Last time, I came in with my family and we had a great time. Fast service, good food, all around good time. Obviously a 5-star experience. On Sunday night around 8pm, I returned hoping to leave with the same experience. I wish it turned out at least half as good as last time. This time, my mother and I spent 10 minutes, after being seated, waiting on our server to come over and start taking our drink order. We ordered 2 waters and an order of queso. Since we waited so long, we also ordered our meals. Once he brought the queso out, it was a HUGE bowl, not the little serving more than enough for 2 people. Assuming the customer wants the biggest/more expensive thing on the menu = no bueno. The fajitas were good, but they had about 10:1 onion-to-pepper ratio and my mothers chimichanga had about a 10:1 tortilla-to-meat ratio. After our food had been brought out, we didn’t see our waiter for the rest of the time until we had to literally call him over and request the check. We also heard the table behind us complain to him about something too. Seemed like he was either really new to serving or just did not care about his job. I thought I finally found a go-to tex-mex place, but it seems like TNT is pretty hit-or-miss.

I have been to Tacos & Tequilas about 5 times total in the last 2 years. But this was my 1st time this year. My past experiences was during the very busy Friday evenings(after work crowd) w/about 6 – 8 people each time. Always had wonderful service. Well today was different. It’s was 4 ladies going out for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was crowded but not as crowded as I had seen. There was still a few empty tables. We were seated very quickly. We set for about 10minutes laughing & talking but realizing we hadn’t received any chips or salsa. We couldn’t find the waiter, so we asked the manager Stella for some chips & salsa. She bought us salsa but no chips. Well apparently she told the waiter to bring the chips & he didn’t. So she got us some. We later received our appetizers & the calamari was cold. Stella asked me if I would like some more calamari & I said yes. She took the ones I had back & bought out some more(of course they refried them & add more on top). After we received our appetizer we ordered drinks(main reason we came). Well about 15 mins into our conversation we realized we hadn’t received our drinks. One of my friends goes to talk to Stella again because we can’t locate our waiter. In the midst of talking to Stella drinks come. But during Stella’s conversation with my friends she says to my friend that I have accommodated you the best that I can. So at this time my friend ask to speak to someone over her(Stella). My friend also tells Stella that she doesn’t want her food because she was unhappy with the service. The food comes out & Stella comes to the table & tells my friend that she couldn’t stop the cook because it was already prepared but she would comp the bill. So we are good, at least I thought. The«district manager» Jorge comes to the table. So my friends precedes to tell him our issues. He starts off saying that in the 6years that Stella has been there, she has had no complaints. And that Stella has accommodated us. The kicker… He states that he has heard from several servers that when my friend comes there she is always complaining. «District Manager „Jorge tells my friend that if she is not satisfied then she should leave. The funny thing is my friend hasn’t been there this year & this is only her ¾ visiting that establishment. At this point I am upset because he came over to our table with an attitude that she is always complaining & there is nothing he is going to do. I work in a very large telecommunication company & I am very familiar with customer service…“ The customer is always right»(even when we know that they are wrong). At what point does a «District Manager» come to a table & confronts his patrons. At what point does a «District Manager» say«I heard from other servers that you always complain». At what point should I not expect to get my food in a reasonable time. If not I should receive an apology for the inconvenience & be assured that you will get it to me asap At what point should I not expect for my food to be hot. But these are accommodations that Stella made for us. Really!!! Needless to say we left & we won’t be BACK!!! Between the 4 of us, our bill would have been very close to $ 200. But I guess that is a drop in the bucket for them!

My girlfriend and I have been to TNT(Tacos & Tequilas) three times now in the past month, and I keep meaning to leave a review. We finally found our new favorite tex mex in the downtown area. The first two times we were there, the service was a bit slow. However, we went last night and had a new server named Natalia. She greeted us promptly, she said she just started a week or so ago and was very friendly. We actually go to the same school, who knew! We ordered a cup of queso with jalapeños to start and it was delicious, a bit spicy but I love it. The chips aren’t salty here like a lot of other texmex places, and the salsa tastes fresh and has a good spice to it. For entrees, we ordered the Burrito ranchero, three amigos tacos, and empanadas. I love the TNT and burrito ranchero burritos– those are my favorite. The empanadas are delicious, especially the chicken one, with the two green sauces they give you(one is a bit spicy). In the past we also ordered dessert but were too full this time. Last time we had the mini brownie sundae and the churros– both huge and excellent! Natalia was great and checked up on us often and made sure our chips and drinks were refilled promptly. The past two times we came and had other servers, we had to track them down for a lot of things and took a while to get the check. However, Natalia was on her game and really took great care of us while it was pretty busy in the patio area! If you go to TNT ask for Natalia, she is so friendly and on top of her tables. We will definitely be returning to TNT soon. I can’t wait for the patio to open up to the outside when it gets warm out!

Was headed out to a different restaurant, but found out they were closed for a private event. We were right by Midtown Place when we figured this out so we decided to go to Tacos & Tequilas. My guy likes the restaurant(though had never been to this location) and I have always wanted to try it. This place is popular! It was crowded and there were several celebrations going on that particular evening. We were seated very quickly in a huge booth in the back. It was quite nice since my guy and I were doing our Christmas celebration together before I left town to be with family. We got queso to start cause my guy loves it. I thought it was pretty good, but it got too thick too quickly. I was not a fan of the salsa, too spicy. I ordered three tacos a la carte: steak, fish, and fried chicken. Even though I was expecting fried fish and not grilled/sauteed, the fish tacos were my favorite of the bunch. The fried chicken one was weird. My guy tasted it and he said something was off about it and that it shouldn’t taste that way. The steak taco was boring. In hindsight, I should have paid more attention to what was on it and added toppings. Staff was nice and it seems like a fun place. I would give it another go, but make a different order.

Tried this place last night. It was busy so we were excited about the food! The restaurant itself is nice and clean but everything was a mess. Service was inconsistent and slow. We had to reach out to our server a few times– whether it be for refills or to place our order, he just kept walking by us and attending to the tables around us. And at the end of the night he messed up our check. They also had a guy pretending to sing music at the bar– which was weird to me, never seen that before. I ordered the shrimp tacos and I can easily say they were the worst ones I have had in the city and I have lived here for 6 years. They were tiny shrimp covered with a breading with no flavor and a weird«slaw» with huge chunks of carrots and no real sauce. My boyfriend was not impressed with his meal either– he got the shrimp diablo. The place has a ton of potential with the location and the suite they occupy. However the food was not up to par and I think they probably need to be a little more staffed. For delicious Mexican food in this area I will stick to La Fonda.

The atmosphere is very fun and lively. The entrance with the tiles TTs and hanging glass lighting, etc. certainly gives one a grand entrance. With yesterday’s fall, crisp weather, eating in their outdoor area was perfect. I shared a meal with Michelle. K, we did the fajitas for two, we both loved the complimentary salsa, and their guac appetizer(or was it a side.) was yummy as well. Our server was very accommodating and did a superb job. Though I thought the food was satisfactory, I’m pretty sure I enjoyed the relaxing ambiance more than anything else. I think if I were to come back again, I’d probably go for drinks and an appetizer instead.

I love Mexican food. My fiancée has a 5-point list for good Mexican food. 1) Good salsa-doesn’t taste like it is from a jar and isn’t burn-your-tongue-off spicy 2) Free chips and salsa– speaks for itself 3) Good food– again, speaks for itself 4) Good price– for a normal Mexican place, he doesn’t want to pay $ 20 for a burrito, rice and beans 5) Good/not too pricey Margaritas– Good means both tasty and at least semi-strong. There are a couple places that have insanely strong cheap margaritas, but they taste like gasoline… So out of the 5 criteria, this place meets all 5! yay! Their combos are always solid, their cheese dip is delish and massive… Whenever my tennis team goes and we order the large, we have a ton left over, even when there are 10 of us… It literally is a soup bowl of cheese. The only complaint about this place(and honestly it is with both this one and the one near Chastain Park), is their service. A lot of times their service isn’t amazing. The food comes fast, but the check or checking in on the table is quite slow… Doesn’t stop me from coming here though!
